  1. I don't think Thailand's climate can get any hotter.

Bangkok is the hottest city in the world with an average daily temperature of 84 F or 28.8889 C.

In Chiang Mai, where I live there are 340 days of 90 and 90+ F  per year, 32.222 and + C.

In summer, mid-February until rainy season which is usually late May, you will see up to 105 F, 40.5556 C.

When it's very hot find a pool, some shade, or an air conditioned mall. Enjoy someone else paying for the AC and come home after 6:00 PM.

Thai people like to walk into a 7-11, hang out for 2-3 minutes, buy nothing and leave.

I have lived in Chiang Mai for 4 years. The lowest I have seen is 59 F, 15 C.

There is no very dangerous snow, ice, freezing cold, and wind chills.

  2. The news is politically and economically based by the interests of the rich.

I will be here 4 years on September 27, 2018.

Thailand has 2-3 seasons depending where you are, 3 seasons are winter-Season 1,summer -Season 2, and rainy season- season 3. Southern Thailand has seasons 2 and 3.

Thailand is tropical which means NO SNOW, NO FREEZING TEMPERATURES AND ICE.

This is for Chiang Mai which has all 3 seasons..

My first year was very hot and a drought from November, 2014 until May, 2016.

Summer from mid-February until rainy season is mid 90s F to 105 F.

Have had 3 good rainy seasons from 2016 to inclusive of today August 31, 2018.

Rainy season 2018 is very heavy rainy almost every day. Very good for rice, fruit, vegetables and flowers. Winter, from December through mid-February can be cool at night, low of 59 F and highs of 95 F.

Search--Wikipedia for Thailand/climate for an accurate description.

  3. A province does not make a life or a lifestyle.

What do you want for entertainment, transportation, Cost of living ?

How much do you want to spend ?

Thailand is full of value, from a 70 square meter condo rental for 7-10000 Baht a month with utilities included to a 50000 Baht a month 400-500 square meter luxury house rental with utilities included.

  4. I had 8 people show up to redirect 1 internet cable, 5 of them did nothing.

The government tells businesses how many employees they will have.

It's good for the working people.

I like it because it gives people money who would otherwise be very poor.

This is Thailand. Things are done different here.

    I LOVE Thailand.

  5. An unrelated topic.

If you as a food manufacturer put 100% juice into a drink  product, which is only 1% of that product, you are allowed by USA laws to print 100% juice on the label.

I don't know how many people have bought juice as stated and found it was orange flavored fruit drink. I have been fooled many times by this bad law which I will state is for the producers' profits through bribery of government officials and politicians.

In Thailand, you know the politicians are stealing. In the USA, the politicians deny it.

Do you know politicians in the USA bring up the topic of Campaign reform every election year, and have never passed a law against themselves in my 64 years of being alive.

I am very happy to be living in Thailand for the rest of my life.

  6. Unlike milk in the USA, Thai milk uses the 280 degrees Farenheit pasteurization process. This process allows for mixing of milks from different farms and for a much longer shelf life of months as in the Wikipedia article.

I am from Albany, NY, USA and I will be lucky to keep milk for a week.

I think the milk in the USA is allowed the lower temperature process by bribes due to the cost of the better process, and keeping milk for longer times is a definite profits killer. Business in the USA is about profits to the shareholders, not for the buying public. If it smells good and tastes good, drink. A costless way to make milk last a little bit longer is to shake for 30 seconds daily. Milk spoils by settling.

  7. If it weren't for the media, you wouldn't know there was a coup.

I came to Thailand in September, 2014.

I asked about 20 Thai people what has changed since the coup.

     Out of the 20, I got 20 "nothings" and 19 people said,"What coup ?"

A coup has been normal Thai life since 1932.

Everything is still crazy in The LOS.

  8.  U1)  caustic soda,30 baht. OR try this : 2)  baking soda into drain then Distilled white vinegar, 150 baht. 3) Mister Muscle drain cleaner, 150 baht. 4) Straight bleach, 100 baht. These remedies can go separately or one after another. DO NOT MIX BLEACH WITH AMMONIA, this makes a deadly poisonous gas. Yes, I live on a ground floor house. All these items can be found at TOPS supermarket for under 500 baht. My problem was my toilet. Use into a full sink or toilet. It make take a while, but if takes time use more chemicals. These all will cause bubbling. Be patient, let the chemicals do the work. Flushing the toilet with chemicals in it will not help the problem, let the chemicals SLOWLY do the work. USE RUBBER GLVES.

  9.  Buy a blender and ice cream.

I don't use milk in my milkshakes.

There is a DQ in Westover, Massachusetts, the shakes are very, very, thick.

Sip 1 time through the straw, and it takes 10 minutes for the ice cream to drain out the straw.

DQ shake, and a habanero cheeseburger, OR a Frostie and a double chees, mayo, onions, tomato with a potato at Wendy's.

Wendy's needs to come to Thailand AND DQ needs to have their full US menu in LOS.

I had the units cleaned a month ago or so and when inspecting with a flashlight, the blower wheel and it's surroundings are pretty much full of mould again. I'm coughing while I sleep and when I wake up as a result. Last time the units were cleaned my gf told them to clean the blower wheel properly but if I understood correctly, they said it cannot be removed in this model (GREE AC units). I emailed GREE about removing the wheel and they just replied to me in broken English to only have their certified mechanic do it.

I also had a look at my friends units who lives in the same condo since around 2 months and his were completely clean inside (he has never cleaned them since moving in). I'm thinking that could my units be defective with moisture building inside?

Bleach kills mold. Mix with water, amount of water is up to you. Wear protective rubber gloves, wear a plastic face shield. Work slowly and explore the areas. Find where the mold starts and stops. OR get serviced and specify in Thai, slowly "see daem mach mach", color black alot. Point to mold.

  11. I like the Andaman Islands. Book ahead through a service like my favorite, Booking.com

Ask about Airport transfer. The ONLY International airport in the Andaman Sea is Phuket.

I also like Hua Hin. I also like the island groups off of Rayong.

Book early to save a lot of money on airfare and hotels. Book a minimum of 3 months on hotels. Confirm and pay for your airline ticket 3 months in advance.

Come in the rainy season, half price on hotels. It only rains for 2 hours at a time. There is hardly ever a rainout day

All of Thailand is a honeymoon destination.

It depends what you like and what you can afford.

  12. It's the culture of Buddhism. Do not hurt, and do not kill.

If the dogs are bothering you, do as I did. Keep a 1-1.5 meter stick on both ends of your route.

Dogs in Thailand are stick trained. I watched an old lady, do it.

You don't have to hit the dog, the sight of the stick is enough to scare the dog.

Learn to live with it. This is not your home country.
