  1. Some tragic scenes for sure , you can still buy a drivers license and renew yours from abroad, so nothing being done that matters . Sadly. Plenty of "Tham Boon merit stuff"--youd wonder what their familes think? do they realise that drunken thais killed thier loved ones...............do they just move on within a week, do they care? I dont know to be honest...............ask a Thai I guess
  2. Portugal getting great reviews. Crazy cheap. For sure cheaper than Thai and one big thing is free healthcare . One bad thing is property costs. 500k min eur for anything with the golden ticket "location location location" ..... but you can buy place for sure for 100k EUR too....... Thai has changed in recent years. Speak to any expat these days and listen to what they saying ?????
  3. She a hard listen too at times Zara, but most of the stuff true anyhow, though in fairness pity they dont mention what its like for real thai familys living in the countryside / poor villages. Those youtubers also (moronic?) , is there any expats in real jobs? Pity she didnt get a chance to meet one (then again maybe a cannabis shop owner is a "normal" job in Thai). Thai no longer the flavour of the month these days and this docu I guess doesnt help !!! Next up Cambodia--now thats a sink hole !!!!!!!!!
  4. If he get 50k subscribers on youtube that would be a tidy income and use savings frugally over 10 to 15 years then would work. Health insureance and "potentially" international schools could make him a pauper soon enough .........tik tok ?
  5. Does anyone know the popular Vlogger who recently vlogged his terminal cancer journey Steady Eddie ? I heard he may have passed away but cant find out for sure....
  6. Not bad to be so high in ratings ? Thai education struggles outdated methods, limiting many kids prospects for sure .Getting a job in a "starbucksys" seems to be considered a great thing ! But still the rankings show improvement
  7. Unfortunately in Thailand this is quite a normal occurrence. Do Thai's ever stop to think that they have no safety standards at all in anything they do, I wonder ? Traffic laws are not always strictly enforced or maybe NEVER !!! It must be grim on the families for sure. Sad news. Make one wonder is that Patts to BKK mini van or bus for like two and 6 in old money really a ticket to oblivion !! ?
  8. Shocking news ! <deleted>e weather in Europe! Lol...... but only issue i have with Thai is you got to live with <deleted> expats who generally haven't a pot to piss in. Apart from that it's great !
  9. I wonder what income(marketing guru ? Work permit?) they have ? And they didn't mention schooling costs? A good story though. Will be interesting to follow
  10. Some cash raised so far https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-david-recover-from-a-devastating-bike-accident?cdn-cache=0 Is it clear he had no insurance? Though likely .....
  11. In fairness that was nice....but I have seen other "efforts" and for sure MOST deceased have no wishes documented anyhow. Pattaya bay for sure a sinkhole for BKK--that we can personally gurantee anybody-Im sure you agree on that !!!!
  12. Perhaps that's why getting a job at Starbucks is considered a success in Thailand! While private schools could be an option for expats, they are often unaffordable. Is educating your children within the Thai school system truly setting them up for success in the long run I wonder or giving them no chance in life which is beyond repair or remedy? Its a hard one really !!!
  13. Some cost for sure. See this from Kevin Bell Trust : While the cost can be a major barrier for most families who have to repatriate a loved one's body from abroad – costs per repatriation can cost up to £12,000 (€14,000) depending on the circumstances of the death, local charges and hospital release costs – there is also a lot of “red tape”. But some families like a grave stone and a grave I guess. It beats maybe telling the kids/ mother wife/.. well 4 people turned up at your daddys funeral and we not sure where the ashes are now. Some drunken expat threw them in the pattaya bay sinkhole 😞
