Maybe she should get her hair styled like a man's and become a monk and then all will be forgiven.

I can only imagine what a Thai driver would be like driving in snow. The IQ of a Thai driver is 0 in rain and would be a negative in snow.
Also, while I'm at it. Why can't they crack down on motorbikes without tail lights? They are a real menace. I drive from Khonkaen to Pu Wiang at night several days a week and and its like a game of dodgeball . It's like they're on a suicide mission and I' m sure operating tail lights would save lives

After the cops get their 700,000 bhat tea money, they will send him somewhere.

Welcome to thailand

Most of these big trucks have very poor rear lighting systems. Some that do, aren't even red. And with no clearance lights at the top of the truck they are very deceptive. On a similar topic, I would estimate about 75 percent of motorbikes have no tail lights and are a real menace on the highway. We drive between Khon Kaen and Nong Rua very frequently and I dread that drive at night. It seems most motorbikers are on some sort of a suicide mission. A lot of them have a basket in front for carrying things and when there is something in the basket, the headlight is blocked out. Duh

All are far too sweet. I wish they would come up with 2 in 1.
-
They could form the Mai Phai Island bridge club to keep themselves occupied, and any police within 100 miles, busy.
-
The story mentions that bridge is part of the Asean Games and will probably be part of the Olympic Games. I think that's going a little too far in the spirit of the games. Somehow I can't see the ancient Greeks sitting around in the Forum playing the game. Next will be underwater basket weaving.

She's been waiting for so long for her ship to come in that her pier is collapsing.

I can imagine it now:- Bangkok Canucks versus the Khon Kaen Rangers. I'm a Canadian and am freezing my butt off!!!!!

Here we go again. Must have been raining. RIP to the fatalities and a speedy recovery to the injured.
-
By his own admission he can't drive in the rain. Now I've heard it all. Apart from the fact thst he was probably 3 sheets to the wind I guess that is as good an excuse as any. Sometimes I have to wonder------ is it even safe to venture out on these roads in Thailand?
-
These guys would do really well driving in snow. I guess he got his driving licence in the arcade at Big C.
-
I still carry my current and valid DL in my wallet, but darned if I will hand it to him. Last time he wanted 200 baht to get it back. I hold it up to the window or hand him photo copies of it.

Good post. Really makes you wonder about the powers that be. Get Donald Trump over here and he will sort it out quickly.. Maybe all muslims should be sent back to Sandland and let the good guys fight the bad guys. If the good guys win, let them return and live a happy life. If the bad guys win, nuke em

I think they should look into Thais without licences at all. Oh, I forgot. The police already took them but let them keep their vehicles.
-
If caught, cut off their gonads, force feed them bacon, tie them up good and put them in a sty with a dozen Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs and forget they were put there.

Where do you get an IDP in Thailand?
-
I still have my regular Canadian drivers licence in my wallet. The last time I showed it to a cop, he wouldn't give it back until I gave him 200 baht. I also carry photocopies of my licence and if he diesn't like the IDP I'll show one if the photocopies, leaving the real original licence as a last resort and holding it up to the window so he doesn$t get his tea money hands on it. All the while being polite and courteous to the officer.
-
I keep my original IDP (issued in Canada) in the glove box. It has been expired for about 8 years. Every time I get pulled over in one of the many road check points I just hand it to the cop who looks at it as if it were a three headed monkey, hands it back to me and says "go". Duh.
-
And nobody is pointing.
-
Yeah yeah. This will last abut a week and then it's back to normal.good opportunity for tea money here!!!!

If everybody played exactly by the rules, the immigration department would lose a lot of revenue and therefore they would put in some more ridiculous rules with associated fines to make up for the loss.
My Thai wife got a permanent resident card for Canada and has no need for a visa and no ridiculous check in requirements. Why can't this country just reciprocate? We live half a year here in Thailand and the other half in Canada.
My visa for Thailand is a one year OA and I still have to check in every 90 days to confirm I am still at the same address. Would it not be prudent for them to say " if you move or change address, please call us" and don't waste half a day going through the hoops. The more I"m here, the better it looks across the ocean.

Yesserie----take away their licences but let them keep their vehicles and that should solve the problem. Gotta work, the higher ups say so.

Retired at 60. Is that the law? I know for pilots you are out the door at 60 but for management too?
