For a legal Testament you have to pay minimum 10000THB. What I see here in the Forum are imaginative guessing but no realistic informations. A Certification from a notary includes to translate a Testimony from english to Thai. A Testimony have to include the final will of the author, the name of the beneficiary, dates of birth and nationality, addresses of both and bank details of the author. Off course certification of both Passport/ ID.
Without this from a recognized notary certified document every testament is invalid!

No, but it's a good idea to give your executor as many details as possible about what assets you have otherwise he might fail to find all of your accounts after you die.
So , do you think, without details you can do a legal Testament? ????????????

And how many Thais will be able to afford this? Second many foreigners will just fly cheaper and faster. This will be the biggest boondoggle in Thailand's history.
Both wrong. Train has cheaper fares, over all not slower than flights and the demand for Train connections are biger than ever by shorter traveltime.

Of course they want you to get addicted to their system, and frankly, if you start, you will be. Sure you can show a bank account next year without the history by yourself. Go ahead and try and let us know if you do. Because the TRUTH of this matter is that nobody has done that yet. EVER. The post seasoning rules are very new. Logically, it wouldn't work.
......"....nobody has done that yet".....
???????????? lts common since the new law is in force, my friend.

This is the best official way to get your yellow book:
1. Translate your Passport to Thai from your Embassy
2. Go for confirmationstamp to the Thai foreign Ministery in Bangkok Wattana
3. Apply within 1 Month ( Important!) in your Aumpher for the yellow Book.
The rest is up the Aumpher, they will give you information.
Dont believe all the fancy Storys here in TV.

Teamoney or Tip to a Official is a harmless word for Bribery. Bribery is illegal, in TH as everywhere, off course. You better not jump in this hot Water. There are hard punishments.

I have been living in hua for 4 years and my wife has a hairdressing salon here since 20 years. Compared to 3 years ago it has more than 50% fewer western tourists. I also wonder: where are the indian tourists!?
