On a double standard country where 1 set of laws for the local and another set for foreigners? Nah... I think the size that matters is the brain. -

Do you ever feel really accepted as an expat in Thailand?
timberpond replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I have Thais community in my home country and nobody bothers them. They don't mixed with us locals and preferred to mingle only in their community. Beside contributing as workforce or providing special services (which they are being paid), I don't see them contributing to our economy and neither once I heard of volunteering for anything. The farangs here contributed Thai economy with their buying power which they were never officially credited for. Volunteering in so many communities in need. Changing many peasants lives which in turn got scammed and lost everything and yet justice was never served. Yet many of these are being labelled as stupid. Sometimes I do suspect we indeed really are st....d! -
Government Officials to Work From Home After New Year
timberpond replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It's impossible because Jul we tried to do some DBD paper work which took half day normally ended up more than 3 weeks. The officer took a very serious reason that they are working from home and ask us to get used to the new norm. It became their official reason to delay productivity. You are working in the wrong company. -

Anyone have a nice clean park to recommend? Family evening walks and not too far from carparking. Availability of toilets is even better. I do have a small park near my house but it is situated between 2 highway bridges. The evening jam and air quality is really a turn off not to mention we have to cross a dangerous road with toddler to assess the park. (We literally have to dash across the road as nobody is stopping for pedestrian at the zebra crossing).

Good stores for mens clothing? Cheap but still decent quality?
timberpond replied to ricku's topic in Bangkok
I think AIIZ is pretty decent in quality but if you want something better why not head to Central Village at lat krabang for the timberland sales. I bought 3 t-shirt and a sandal. Very good quality... average about 500-700 baht each... easily could use them frequently for 2 years. Worth it. -

Company Address Change - Are they mad?
timberpond replied to Na Fan's topic in SME Business in Thailand
I just relocated my company from Rayong to Bangkok. It cost me around 12,000. I did relocate my address years ago but within Rayong, I remembered it didn't cost more than 3,000. Do note that if I would to relocate again within BKK is not a big issue but once I pass the bangna line, it falls under samut prakran and another 12,000 with be involved. Is Sirracha under Chonburi? I don't know... but did you cross any boundary? -

According to the Foreign Ministry, the Thailand Pass system is web-based and designed to make the documentation process for people entering Thailand more efficient. This system collects both travel and health information and will help facilitate the filing of TM6 and T8 forms. Your vaccine online application hasn't caused enough laughing stock?
