If I get a 12 months multiple entry non O in savanakhet as indicated by the OP can I still do my 90 days reporting and future extensions at my local immigration office or do I need to leave the country every 90 days.thanks.

you have to leave every 90 days ,, also if you come back into thailand on the last day of the visa you will get an extra 90 days that gives you a 15 months ,you don't have to go near imm in thailand

I wonder if the consulate there would accept my US Social Security statement when backed up by my Bkk Bank book?  I was told at Samut Prakan Immigration that that should be good, until I tried to actually do that. Then they reverted to the “ letter from embassy” bit.

    Anybody done this at Savannaket?

All the neighboring countries including Vietnam looking to relax and extend visa's to attract more tourism, but Thailand does the opposite.

I fully understand most tourists do not need more than 30 days, but having them also does not hurt considering they are bringing money and spending money

vietnam is making a fool of itself with there e-visa read aii the fine print before you quote family of 4 all had there photo, taken at the same place and same time 1 was ok the other 3 rejected

You have to show insurance to get the Thailand Pass in the first place. Airline may or may nto also check it before boarding.

I don't see how not getting a PCR before boarding would affect insurance, the big problem people have with insurance is that it pays only for medically necessary care and not for hotel quarantine or hospitalizations that are medically unnecessary (both of which may be mandated by the Thai authorities if you test positive on arrival here). etc. For which reason it is certainly wise to still get a test before boarding.

thanks for the answer, the reason i don't trust them , plus i was just reading the instuctions for the Antigen rapid test and at the end it said there is a 50/50 chance of a ( a false negative )
