Disappointing and highly expected outcome (inaction) of the CCSA rubberstamp meeting...
By comparison, Vietnam open immediately... Cambodia, and Phills opening too... Same other asian countries, India, Singapore, Malayasia, etc
Thailand will be at the back of the bus for Tourists when/if they finally get around to taking any action (or lack thereof)...
Only exception is the China block where they are still going with zero covid "strategy"... and are closing down entire blocks/sectors... good luck with that... No opening for them anytime this year...
The dropping of pre-departure test is just smoke and mirrors folks... Face saving to cover their ineptness and lack of any plan or actions... Their 'talk' of (we'll see in July) making it endemic in July is just laughable (if it wasn't so sad... doubt anything will happen)...
You better be checking with your destination and airline requirements, which are likely to require some form of test... YMMV...
you say vietnam is open well you try going there

Little bit of a difference, in Vietnam they were free extensions where as here people are paying for extensions, and in Vietnam there is at least one land border opening allowing travel into Cambodia.
the extensions were not free i was trapped there for 21months and at the start was paying dong 1,500,000.00 a month then it went down to 1,000,000.00 , others were paying more ,.and i have friends there and have not heard about the cambodia boarder being open ,i left in october last year and it costed aus$6,000 plus $3,000 for quarantine ,just in case someone wants to know

Sorry but this disease needs to be lived with now. We need to get back to normal now or we will forever be in lock down.
We have locked the planet down for 4 million deaths over 2 years for covid (mostly over life expectancy of 82) - yet not locked it down for fag deaths, obesity deaths and cancer deaths, which has probably killed 100's millions of much younger people.
I was listening to one news channel, that said one country had had covid drop 33% of its populace into poverty - imagine that worldwide ? The fear is worse the governments are making is far worse than the death toll.
Open up now or else things are going to get worse
i agree they are not going to stop this virus with needles
