  1. hi kim

you state that you are a veteran if so do you get a pension from the us gov and it is over 65000bt a month get a letter from them stating that and it will help you to get a visa in the us.

There is two ways if you want to get a non o muti for retirement in thailand or lao in thailand you have to do a stat dec at the us embassy and take that to the immigration office with all the other papers ,they will tell you on this site what you will need, if you don't get the 65000 it can be made up with money in thai bank.

in savannakhet you just need the letter, and all the other papers you can get your hands on

i am an aus veteran on a tpi pension and it has worked for me two times the last was 3 weeks ago  in savannakhet and the same letter worked in australia untill they changed the goal posts

    1. If you have a blank statutory declaration to complete that will be all you need.

    2. No appointment is needed.

    2. No

    3. Yes But best to just to just show only your monthly gross income in ASD on the stat dec.

    4. The embassy will not ask any questions.

    5. If immigration was to ask for back up proof showing some regular incoming transfers to your bank would be the best proof.

Q1 they have the paper work in the office

I've resided here in LOS for the past 4 years. No problems with receiving my pension.

I only return to OZ for about 10 days, twice each year. Obviously the govt & centrelink are aware I'm not a permanent Oz resident. I don't want to risk anything by advising them that I'm married.

What's the problem with your Oz mate notgetting his payments ?

i have heard you have to go back and live in aus for one to two years

  4. I am sorry all,,, i posted the wrong info

looking through the copyed forms from the blue car book i said they wanted pages 4,5,16,17

    It is 6,7,16,18

the easyest thing to do is go to the first hut they will mark the pages to be copyed you can get them done between the two car parks on the left as you are going in, follow the concrete path and when you make a right turn go in the double doors a head of you the man is on the left.

  5. i was going to get married untill a friend on centerlink single pension took his wife back to aus to live when he told them he was married first thing was for how long ,it had been 10 years so they put it in the to hard basket, he was put on a married pension ,they then took $100.00 a pay off him and others things and his misses got nothing she is now working and if she get over a certain amount he loses that

By the way when your passbook hits aus bells all over the country

YOU may be ok for two weeks but dont trust the goverment

You have to translate your licence plate to english in a transporation office, where is car registered.

Everything else can be done at the border (as long, as the owner of car is crossing too).

as far as i know we are getting new plates with in the next 90 days i think you all know what it is like dealing with thai'ssss

Just a quick caveat to this the car passport is valid for a year it can be extended yearly at LTO when you pay the tax and compulsory insurance. They just put another years stamp in it i belive the book has only got room for two extensions.therefore giving you 3 years. Yes judt checked book room for 3 stamps. Validity  runs out when tax on car runs out yearly. So can do it all in one hit.

you might be right all i heard was 3 years
