  1. Republican Greg Gianforte just won in the Montana special election. Lots of Trump hatred going on, and this guy body-slams a reporter, and he still wins! Hint: The "Resistance" movement needs to do more than just point out Trump's flaws if they want to start winning. It didn't work last year and it won't work now.  A million more Californians voting Dem doesn't help.  They need the red states and they're off to a poor start.

Almost 80% of Americans want a special prosecutor to investigate Donald Trump, poll finds

Just one in five approve of US President's decision to sack FBI director James Comey (sub-title)

"A massive 78 per cent of people want a special prosecutor to handle the investigation that is currently being led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), whose director James Comey was fired by the US president last week."

"In contrast, only 15 per cent want Congress to lead the probe."

    Painful isn't it?

Watching the walls close in on your dear leader?

Same people who said he didn't have a chance to win the election.  Ho hum

  3. This poll, "Do you think Trump will be impeached or forced to resign?" is nothing more than wishful thinking by those who are upset that Trump won.

    Trump won the primary.

    Trump won the general election.

    The recount failed.

The embarrassing emotional appeal to the electoral college failed (In fact Hillary lost more than Trump).

The "the Russians hacked the election" nonsense failed.

And now this idea that he will be impeached will fail.

Trump will remain president for his entire first term will be reelected by a landslide.

Or, put another way, get over it.

Not from the USA but have connections through business and some great American friends.  Consequently I feel their pain.  Well after Trump is impeached (fingers crossed) you have got to put up with Pence until the next election (unless he is impeached as well).  After that Mrs Obama will sweep to victory by a landslide.

Wishful thinking?  Maybe but the first thing is to stop Trump before he does even more damage to the USA.

Sounds like you've got a case of "impeachment fever" that has been going around.  LOL.  http://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/266720/impeachment-fever-matthew-vadum#.WRrhQe5fLq0.facebook

  5. The whining and complaining about Trump is indeed good group therapy and support for those who need it, in other words those who are still upset Trump won.

The president has every right to fire the FBI director for whatever reason he wants.  Even Comey agrees with this.  All the work Comey was doing will be done by his replacement.

Trump keeps moving the country ahead, suckering the whiners with things like this.

At least Hillary,, of all people got it.  At the end of one debate she said, "If Donald wins the presidency, that's the way the cookie crumbles."  In other words, no big deal.

In the past I have felt the whiners should just get over it, but now I see they need this therapy to help them. So, whine away while President Trump continues to work for the benefit of all Americans.

"... it's a relatively short drive up from HCMC."

I was planning to ask about this in a new thread when I get to LOS, but since you've mentioned this - is that the best way to get there from LOS - fly to HCMC and rent a car?

The thing that I think I'd find most difficult outside of LOS is that I'm a vegetarian and mostly vegan - I've learned a bit of Thai, but none of any other Asian language.

I take Vietjet from HCMC to Dalat.  Discount airline, cheap.

If any of the Dalat posters are from the USA, could you share whether or not you caught any anti-american sentiment from the local people because of past history?  I'm going to spend some time there, or in Danang, later this year and am looking at possibly staying long term.  My shelf life in CM is now just over 6 months, however, I keep coming back after trying somewhere else.  Just returned after making an easy decision that CM > Goa.

I'm an American and I have never gotten any problem about that war, which was long, long ago.  Virtually everyone I encounter in VN wasn't even born then.  I believe all of the "issues" exist in the heads of Americans only.

I cannot believe America. A judge can intervene with leadership of the country. If a judge dislikes something the president does the judge simply blocks what the president did.Bad judges or personal interest judges can stop any and everything  they want be it for the better of the people or not. I am so happy I am not American.

Unfortunately judges these days are nothing more than politicians in robes.

I use the Capital One Venture Reward card. I use it to pay for just about everything - food, Internet, airfare, travel, etc. It has an annual fee of US$59. I get 2 miles per dollar spend. While their interest rate on a carried balance is a bit high, I never carry a balance so it doesn't matter to me. Even after the annual fee, I manage to net about US$200 per year in rewards.

For getting monthly spending money into Thailand, I use my Schwab ATM card. You get the best rates, no fees, and ATM charge reimbursement. I've used it all over the world and never had a problem.

    Both are highly recommended.

I, too, use the Cap One Venture Rewards card in the same manner.  My ATM card is from State Farm Bank and is like the Schwab card.   Second the recommendation.

It does show just how far removed from reality they are. Maybe they thought this would be some kind of charm offensive in the manner of Jackie Kennedy and Charles de Gaulle c1962. Instead it's just creepy in regard to this girl and her Machiavellian husband. The adult sons are even worse but aren't getting a guernsey, fortunately.

But they're in the White House and Ol' Hillary isn't.
