True Internet was running a special on top of a special. We signed up for their 200/200 Fiber and they threw in a Gigatex 2.4+5 WiFi router and the Inno Hybrid+ set top box for 599thb package (with a 200thb lifetime package discount).

I think my service gets the 'basic' channels, and had a 2 week 'preview' of others. We use the set top box for playing youtube mostly. I do like using the google voice assistant to get around needing a keyboard for search.

Yeah, think that's the deal my landlord signed up for. However, the little tyke doing the installation said for B500 he'd crack it for the full package which of course I jumped on. It lasted about 6 weeks and now everything's gone, ha. Good while it lasted...

TrueIDTV IPTV service is an odd duck.

On our setup the Inno Hybrid+ set top box is connected to the GigaTex Fiber Router by both a CATV coaxial cable and over WiFi (with the TV content streamed over the CATV coax); and the box assigned a TrueID for channel content and accounting authentication and billing purposes. Oddest setup I've ever encountered from either a Cable or Internet provider.

Some of the Channel 'content' when first provisioned is only available to you for a couple of weeks, then you have to subscribe if you want to keep having access. It may be the box is assigned the wrong TrueID.

Take a look at the TrueVisions Channel Lineup and see what channels should be available under the package subscribed. If you encounter a discrepancy then call True and see if they can rectify or clarify why.

Yes, have exactly the same set-up, very odd. Unfortunately it's all been organised by my landlord through unofficial channels so think what you've described is the case. Don't know who the box is assigned to but will check that channel listing so thanks for that and then next stop try and get hold of the technicians who installed it. Cheers

  3. Recently had an Inno Hybrid+ android box installed by True Visions. All good until a couple of weeks ago when Error code: E048-32 (No signal found) started appearing and now I'm down to less than 50% of original channels working. Anyone experiencing same or can shed any light? Cheers

My girlfriend worked it out. Press OK on the True remote > navigate right using the ring surrounding the OK button > click on the subtitles icon > choose "Original" language.

Oh my Buddha, this has had me stumped for days. Praise be to your girlfriend! Cheers!

  5. Hello all, this is one for the Retirement Visa experts, asking for a friend.

Scenario: friend been living in TL for 14 years on an RV. He took a trip back to US just before C-19 kicked off and now he can't get back in to TL, obviously. His visa expires in late June. The question is, are any concessions being made for this situation or will he have to come back in on a 30 day stamp and re-apply for retirement visa? I have no idea about any of this so appreciate the help. Cheers

  6. Hi all, haven't managed to find a recent thread on this so will ask again: can anyone recommend an English speaking, motorcycle  repair / maintenance outfit in centre of town-ish? Normally go to Ball Racing but just rolled up there and they've packed-up shop. Cheers in advance.

On Soi Buakhauw on the corner of the soi diagonally opposite The Pagoda Bar and opposite side to Tree Town. Squeezed in between the money changer and the rib restaurant. Not sure if they speak any English but very good with what they have done for me.

    Thanks

  9. Re-gifting a stack of DVD boxsets.

Guessing 100+ titles, mostly all tv boxsets, American & English.

Free to anyone who wants to collect from near Central Marina.

Can throw in a brand new, still in box, DVD player for 500 baht if wanted.

    PM me. Cheers

What style? I used to wear Blue Suede Brothel creeper Teddy Boy style. I have seen BSS at Mike's Shopping Mall but not BCs.

Nothing as flash as BCs, just a pair of preppy deck shoes. They're good for the no socks outfit but the suede gets filthy after one wear and not found any cleaner in the supermarkets. Not a good choice for Thailand probably but got a wedding come up and want to look smart, ha

course it does if you hit suppliers and end users hard enough. Suppliers 25 years on summary conviction and end users ( 1 tablet etc) 5 years upon conviction rising 5 years for any subsequent convictions make it worldwide, then see the drug use drop dramatically over 12 months

you got 2 clowns in jail now in bangkok what 50 year stretches ??  some dj and another guy....excellent and the way it should be

only people who whine about such sentences are people that imbibe in the muck totally forgetting the torment caused to many families hospitals police forces worldwide dealing with the fall out

So how's that 'War on Drugs' working out? Three decades of prohibition and as far as I can tell more people are using than ever before. Prisons overflowing. Organised crime making billions whilst governments can do nothing to stop it. It's exactly because it's illegal that there's so much fall-out. Prohibition didn't work for alcohol back in 30's America or whenever it was; it generated a black-market (because there is always demand) with violent privateers ready to exploit that. And with narcotics it's the same. People want to drink. People want to do drugs. People want to gamble. People want to have sex. This is a fact of life, the human condition. Make any of those things illegal and it doesn't stop people doing them. It just criminalises the participants.

But it saves lives , ICE is nothing teenagers should experiment with .

With all due respect teenagers experiment, that's what they do. As do people in their 20's, 30's, 40's and so on. The illegality of the substance doesn't stop that. It just criminalises the activity, snaring them in a legal system with the potential to seriously <deleted> the rest of their lives up. Treating drug use as a social issue and not a criminal one would save far more lives
