It's got nothing to due with "Foreigners fearing the total amount of cases in Thailand" as I'm fully vaccinated...What scares the hell out of me is trying to figure out how I can possible accomplish all the freaken requirements to get back into Thailand...Besides finding a reasonably priced airline ticket, I need a $100,000 Covid 19 Medical Insurance Policy (even though I have a Blue Cross/Blue Shield policy that covers me just about anywhere in the world with no dollar limitations!); A "COE" (even though I currently have a valid retirement visa with a multi entry stamp!) A medical certificate with "RT-PCR' lab result indicating a negative Covid-19 within 72 hours of departure! Proof of Vaccine card (No problema...I have one!); Proof of booking 14 days in an Alternative State Quarantine jail cell, I mean Government controlled hotel room at some astronomical price! Jesus Christ himself would give up on trying to figure how the hell to get back into Thailand at this point in time!!!

July of what year? In my opinion Thailand is now a day late, & a dollar short in getting to the vaccine dance! Covid can't be beat beat by lock downs alone...you need to vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate!

OMG! 14 days quarantined in a government approved holding cell @ $100 plus per day....$100,000 Medical Insurance Policy with proof of Covid-19 coverage...Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination...Negative Covid-19 Test 72 hours before arrival...Cost of Airline Tickets...700 baht departure Fee...& now a 300 baht entry fee...I can see the flood of tourists already lining up to beat a path to Suvarnabhumi!

Sadly it's really an economic problem...Thailand's economy does not provide enough well paying entry level jobs or careers for young folk just out of school. I mean really, who can afford to live on 300 baht a day?

It's getting a little bit closer to reality...now a fully vaccinated visitor to LOS will only need to spend 7 days in a government approved lock down facility rather than 14 days! Keep up the good work, you just might yet attract a handful of really desperate tourists, who have nothing better to do with their lives, or precious vacation time than to spend 7 days staring out at the scenic landscape from the windows of their holding cell, I mean luxury suite!

How about figuring out how to get 70 million Thai citizens vaccinated against the Covid 19 virus first, & then worry later about getting to the moon!

If Thailand is serious about having foreign tourists ever return, then forget about imposing 14 day quarantines! No tourist in their right mind is going to want to spend 14 days held captive in a hotel or resort! The best idea I've heard so far to allow tourist to return is to create some sort of Covid-19 vaccine certification. It could be as simple as requiring tourist to get a government approved stamp in their passports from their home country indicating the date & type of vaccination they have received!

Wow! Just what every tourist hoping to visit Thailand wants to hear...more expenses...more barriers to entry! Let's see...1) You have to get a COE from your local Thai embassy! 2) You have to have proof of medical insurance! 3) You have to have a $100,000 Covid-19 medical insurance policy, which in most countries of the world, doesn't even exist! 4) You have to spend 14 days locked up in government sanctioned quarantine facility at a cost of well over $100 per day! 5) You have to have evidence of a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of arriving in Thailand....also very difficult to arrange! 6) And now you will have to fork out an extra 300 baht for the privilege of jumping through all the previous hoops once you finally arrive here! 7 ) And soon to come, I'm almost certain, you'll need proof of a Covid-19 vaccination! Sounds to me that Thailand is planning on getting completely out of the Tourist business???

14 Day quarantines are a wonderful concept for two things; 1) Keeping Thailand free from possible Covid 19 re-infections from tourists, & 2) Keeping tourist free from ever considering Thailand as a possible tourist destination! Only an insane tourist would consider spending 14 days of their valuable vacation time locked up as a prisoner in a government sanctioned quarantine facility! Good Luck with that!

It's almost impossible now to find 80 baht lottery tickets anywhere in Hua Hin! Most vendors try to sell you multiple tickets at 100 baht each! My reply to them is, are you willing to pay me 20% more if I win? Not much better in Amnat Charoen either...we couldn't find any tickets for the official price of 80 baht last week! Time to boycott all the lottery sales...only a moron would pay more that the official price...there's no such thing as "Lucky Numbers" as the odds are still all same 1,000,000 to 1!

I'm no crash expert & I'm not taking sides here either...but judging from the front end damage to the vehicle in the photo, & unless a Ferrari is built like an armored tank, it appears to me to be about a 60 kph speed on impact!

I'd love to discover more of Thailand by traveling about to help increase domestic travel; however to facilitate that, I need a couple of changes to be made; 1) An end to the 2 tier pricing scheme in Thailand's public tourist venues & hotels! 2) An end to the ridiculous 90 day process & TM-30 process! (Why not instead just put a chip in our passports or cellphones when we arrive so you can track our where abouts all day long?) 3) I need to see a 50% drop in the beer & wine prices! I refuse to pay 300 baht anymore for a bottle of <deleted> wine that I used to purchase for less 150 baht! I believe Thailand may currently have the most expensive beer & wine prices in the entire world! Let me know when you have resolved the above 3 items, & in the meantime I'll have my bags all packed & ready, & Good to Go!

Can Someone please explain to me what the heck is the big concern about selling alcohol beverages in Thailand's shops & bars & pubs between the hours of 2pm & 5pm? I much prefer to enjoy a beverage or two between the hours of 2pm & 5pm than 11am & 2pm! An 11am start time is for the serious alcoholics! Why not a 2pm start time to midnight?

Having been in Thailand since January 1st, I feel relatively safe here; but, just not very welcomed! I just heard on the news last evening that Farangs without a Thai National ID are not allowed to ride on the public Buses or Trains in Thailand! Now I know how black folks in America felt during the 1950's & 60's; but at least they could ride in the back of the bus...we can't even get on the bus! Is this anyway to treat a guest in your country, & to restore foreign tourism??? Shame on you Thailand!!!

It started out as a wonderful plan, yet you keep changing it, & making it more draconian...now instead of 7 days quarantine in Phuket, it's been bumped up to 14 days! You have to stay in a special HSA + hotel...but none of them have even been identified yet! You cannot connect through Suvarnabhumi...only fly direct from wherever to Phuket...This is all on top of requiring all the regular entry BS...namely a COE which requires a $100K of Covid medical insurance policy, an affidavit from the FBI that you're not a criminal, A Fit to fly exam & certificate from your doctor, A negative RT-PCR test witihin 72 hours before your departure, a valid entry visa, & God only knows what the hell else is going to be required! You gotta be kidding me! This is the most anti-Tourist plan I have every seen in my entire life! It would be much easier to for a moron to get into Harvard Grad School then to try then to try & get into the Phuket Sandbox!!!
