Thai vegetables and produce is very good i believe because it is also exported and meets a high quality standard. So cook for yourself and you will be healthy.
Thai rice is also excellent if you buy good quality 50 baht a kg.

India is pretty good. Nice beaches, mountains, ruins, temples to see, nice people speak English and food, Cheaper than Thailand. Good visa, medical care, transportation, internet. Pollution, crowds and garbage are a problem however. Definitely not boring.

I guess I owe a few people an apology after that comment, however I will put forward some mitigating circumstances for it........
I have some posters who decide to put laughing emojis on just about everything I post, and even if I posted that a family member had died, they would put a laughing emoji on it. I believe I know who they are, and on the one hand I usually dismiss them as idiots, but this time I went too far, so my apologies to those whom I offended.
Also my post basically asked the question, "xylitol is a natural plant sugar – – so how would that help with sinusitis?". So that in itself should not have garnered laughing emojis IMO, but it did.
Some quick research has shown that it can have a beneficial effect: "xylitol has been hypothesized to be beneficial not only for respiratory tract infections but also for the treatment of sinusitis". National Institutes of Health (.gov).
Having suffered from sinusitis for many years, I tried saline sinus rinses and that worked extremely well for me.
Once again, my apologies to those whom I offended.
The problem with saline is that it can dry out your nasal passages. The way Xyiltol works is that it is type of cleaning agent, soap, it is sticky and natural so it removes any irritants and coats your sinus..
Have you considered what is causing your allergies and just avoiding it? Likely mold because we are in the monsoon.

If you are ultra rich anyone can google your name and learn about you, they are not going to go some hole 3rd world country with corrupt cops under every rock. They could easily be extorted or kidnapped.

Try xylitol. search the sub. Ephendrin products don't really work because they always rebound.

If you want movies from the usa just download on torrents. If you want real privacy - you picked the wrong country.

Some private hospitals will try to rip off anybody Thai of Foreign. Plenty of reports.
If the tourism department wants to do something useful then make medical insurance mandatory for travelers. They can have a online kiosk or booth at the airport like some other countries do. This would save a lot of heart ache.

No law to protect people who do not have common sense.
I guess you could say the same thing about the hospital if they did not make him pay in advance?
I think. if you are on a budget and need medical care got to a government hospital in Thailand will be much cheaper than a private. Also i see there is a Christian hospital in Bangkok that may do it much cheaper if you have no money.
If you are able and not going to die in 24 hours fly back to your country assuming it is government funded there.
Another option is fly to India, any major city will have some excellent hospitals which is only 3 hours away from Thailand.
"On an average Laparoscopy in Chennai might cost around ₹33,250 - ₹66,500." ($400-$800)

Not to mention the racket in all private hospitals in Bangkok and all over the world I may say, where money comes far before any interests of the patient.
What happens if you don't pay or don't have the money?

Thai's a very conservative and have ideas about people roles. When you step out of that role they get upset. Farangs have a role - stick to it!

It was suppose to be a national park protected island was how it was billed 25 years ago. Just another tourist trap now with a massive ferry carrying cars back and forth to the island.

30 Years ago Thai's would smile much more at farangs they had never seen white people before. Now we are sort of despised.
You can go to India or Nepal and get love bombed with smiles all day.

Same reason porn is illegal. They want couples to have sex with each other not a video or toy. They are considered anti-family. Also remember Thailand is ultra conservative.

I knew a guy in Krabi with a Thai wife. He had a big idea to build a house then flip it. He gave the build about 10k usd and never saw him again, he said he dropped off a big water jug though. He tried to sue the builder. 2 years later he split with his wife and moved back the states after 20 year in Thailand. The whole thing was too much for him.

Goa is where most expats go for the winter. But you will find foreigners living all over in India. The entire coast is beaches. There are mountain in the north and south. You are going to have to adjust and experiment a bit if you want to live in India.
