  1. If no to question 2, will I be able to fly to another country, and fly right back into Thailand and get another tourist visa on arrival? How long do I have to leave Thailand before I return?

It's neither a tourist visa nor a visa on arrival. If you fly back in you'd get a 30 day visa exempt entry (i.e. no visa but a 30 day permission to stay) that could be extended by 30 days at immigrations.

How long would I have to be in another country before flying out? Can I fly into a country, and immediately fly back into Thailand? Thanks for all the answers! (I'm Canadian by the way)

  2. Hey guys, so I got a tourist visa on arrival (30 days) and had it extended for another 30 days at the immigration office. I want to stay in the country for another 90 days, and I want to make the trip outside of the country as quick as possible. My questions are:

    1) Which country should I fly out to from Chiang Mai? (Shortest trip)

    2) Will the immigration office be open in another country on April 14th? (Festival)

    3) If yes to the above, how long will it take me to apply/receive a 60 day tourist visa (which can then be extended for another 30 days at the immigration office in CM?), ideally I want to get it all done in less than a day, so I don't have to spend the night in another country

4)If no to question 2, will I be able to fly to another country, and fly right back into Thailand and get another tourist visa on arrival? How long do I have to leave Thailand before I return?

Thank you very much for your time and answers, greatly appreciated.

  3. most of the serviced apartments I've looked at start at about 2K baht/night... haven't found anything nice for 50Kish/month

Perhaps you have a different idea of nice than I do:

That is hardly 'taking your pick' is it?

I too have a differing idea of nice than you do. Though Centrepoint Petchburi Soi 15/Pratunam is pleasant enough, the others likely I would not step foot in.

Here are some other candidates to consider. The website is comprehensive.

Thank you. Anything specific you would recommend?

  4. is the omni a monthly rental place? I'm really indecisive and have decided that I want to stay in Bangkok for just a month (might extend the stay), and then travel to other cities in Thailand. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel that does monthly rentals? Budget is probably like 45K including electricity.

  5. Hey guys, will be travelling to Bangkok mid february, and looking to stay till about mid July. I was recently in Chiang Mai and stayed at a monthly rental hotel which I really liked "CM Prestige Hotel" and it was dirt cheap (20K baht). If there is something similar to that in Bangkok please let me know. Otherwise will likely rent a nice condo out, are there any specific websites that I should be digging through? I was looking through airbnb but it looks like most of the places are overpriced, since it's mostly short term stays. Thanks in advance.

  6. Hey guys, the title says it all. I am looking for a personal trainer who knows his shit, looking to stay in Bangkok for 5 months, and I want to be bulking up during my stay. Expensive/cheap, doesn't matter, as long as the trainer can efficiently help me out. Ideally I would like to be able to work out at the condo gym, so someone who is willing to travel a bit would be nice. Thank you in advance.
