I use these, available 1/2", 3/4", 1"
Find a pneumatic tool/fittings/equipment supplier although the box states suitale for pneumatic, liquids, etc. I use them on my water tanks in conjunction with a float switch for automatic filling of tanks. Thing is, they are normally closed so probably no use for your application in a power cut. Maybe they do them normally open, never asked.

Laem Mae Phim, very child-friendly, no bars to speak of, no go-gos, no whores and loads of Thai and European restaurants. Beach is very nice and the water is clean. Cool at the moment in the evenings.

The main cause of this is swine flu in China!
Thai exports of chicken to China have increased by 700% in the last year.
No industry can cope with such a dramatic change without problems.
Net result of such a sudden increase in demand is a drop in quality in favour of volume production.
Don't expect much to change until China's pig production returns to normal.
I (er, no, my wife) runs a commercial broiler farm. 5 grow-outs per year, 20,000 birds per grow-out. We can't suddenly squeeze in another 10,000 birds into the shed each time and we can't grow them any quicker. The net result of the swine 'flu problem in China is an increase in pork and chicken prices worldwide - look up pork prices in the UK increasing due to increased exports to China.
The reason for the OP's experience I think (and I can't be sure) is 'woody breast' affecting the chickens at the farm and the processors are allowing it through to the shops and consumer. The OP (OK, his wife) should point out the problem at the store. Probably won't do any good.
Like I said at the start, soak overnight in brine.

Try placing your chicken meat in brine and soak overnight in the fridge.

Never mind the sea ice data, here's data tampering of sea level data:
NASA graph 1870 - 2013
Link: https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/sea-level/
Now here's James Hansen's graph 1880 - 1980
Link: https://pubs.giss.nasa.gov/docs/1982/1982_Gornitz_go05100g.pdf
And here are the two graphs superimposed onto one another
Can you see a pattern emerging here?

Care to discuss Arctic sea ice extent and hiding of data?
This graph of Arctic sea ice extent is from NOAA website (1979 onwards)
Link: https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/snow-and-ice/extent/sea-ice/N/0
What they don't show you is the data prior to 1979
Source: IPCC Report 1990 https://www.ipcc.ch/site/assets/uploads/2018/03/ipcc_far_wg_I_full_report.pdf
The report goes on to state that there are significant decreases in open water within the ice and no change in ice thickness of around 2m.
So sea ice extent seems pretty stable.

So, who to believe, the unequivocal evidence as presented by Greta Thunberg and David Attenborough or the inane misogynistic blitherings of those on this thread.
You are just making fools of yourselves.
I would sooner listen to the likes of distinguished scientists like William Happer, Richard Lindzen, Willie Soon and Freeman Dyson.
Greta Thunberg & David Attenborough? LOL.

Meanwhile in Chiang Mai, people who went out for dinner and a drink over the weekend will still need to report to immigration on Mon/Tue that they've got back home.
I'm simply sharing my last experience at my local I/O. I specifically asked about completing a TM30 on my return home if I stayed out of province overnight and the hotel had completed a TM30 when I arrived.
I'm not making any predictions on the actions of I/Os. Everyone's experience (such as yours) maybe different and only time will tell what Immigration rules will appear in the future. But thanks for sharing.

Yep, I had the same message from immigration on my last 90 day report. The hotel still completes a TM30 online but arriving back home there is no need for the householder, landlord, etc to file the return to province.
Never did it anyway and never had any query from immigration either about why I was not re-registered back home after being out of province.

OM is hard to maintain in the tropics because of warmth and rain and rapid decomp. Green manuring is an economical method to do your best at OM content and other benefits.
The primary problem in Thailand from what I've seen in comparing soil tests from different regions, is extremely low CEC (cation exchange capacity), due to monsoon climate leaching and from cropping use without comprehensive replenishment.
There is some good advice from Geoff Lawton about mulching with different types of green manure and what type to use for differing climes. As an aside and pointed out by @IsaanAussie post #23 I had a problem with imported rice straw for mulch bringing in fungal spores and ruining a tomato raised bed a couple of years back. I now let the grass grow to about 2m tall and then strim, gather and use as mulch. I think it is much better to use what you have on site rather than importing materials from outside.

"The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocation, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded.
Yet in holding scientific discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite"

You keeping it here or cruising? Keeping a boat here can be a minefield of regs but I suppose you've done your homework on this. I know cruisers visiting on a visa have been shocked to find they have to check-in and out of each province they visit, not just a Thailand country check-in/out like the rest of the world. B2,000 fine.
PSS have a boatyard near Phuket if you get a fixer-upper - lookup Follow the Boat on YouTube - they were there for a year but apparently the yard manager has left............ and it's not as cheap here now as it was, haul-out and yard rent nearly as much as prices in the west.
$100,000 is really cheap for a boat to 40ft. They are out there but I doubt there's much cheap around here, Langkawi. You'd do better in Europe, USA. Watch out and make sure anything you buy is tax (i.e. VAT) paid, otherwise you are looking at another 20% on top. I looked at an Amel Super Maramu 53ft in Aus for around $200K - bargin, new rig, sails, batteries, radar but it went before I could get the cash together. A fixer-upper maybe cheap to buy but will cost a small fortune to repair and re-fit. Some other guys on YouTube bought a hurricane-damaged cat but that was still around $100K and a year later they're still repairing it.
Good luck anyway mate, as a ex-Merchant Seaman I'd love to get back on the water.

I think 97% of TVF is in consensus bickering scientists are not entertaining. Where's the wine, bread & gladiators? Didn't Greta tell the apocalypse should be here by now? Action!
Maybe the SV Regina Maris (taking a bunch of 'changemakers' from Europe to the now-cancelled COP summit) can pop over to pick up Greta and take her home?
I find the bickering of scientists entertaining and at the same time depressing.

I do not believe, as you wish to tell me I do, that ‘these surveys are failed’, I did however explain the failings of the survey you were relying on.
Again, no need to argue or assign me beliefs I do not hold., refer to the record of this thread.
You seem to be getting hopelessly lost in your comments and reasoning.
1 hour ago, Chomper Higgot said:You go from presenting failed surveys
From your post #2506 above, your words, not mine.
And again in your post #2508 Quote: "you posted a hopelessly failed survey" again, your words, not mine.
You have twice expressed the opinion that you think the surveys are failed and then say Quote: "I do not believe, as you wish to tell me I do, that ‘these surveys are failed’. Confusion reigns.
Personally, I am not relying on these surveys to prove anything except a lack of consensus, so, yes, I have no faith in the reliability of the surveys, especially those of Zimmerman et al, Cook, etc.
I was pointing out that out of all the surveys out there, probably the most reliable are those of the AMS and even then they don't prove definitive consensus i.e. the 97% touted by Obama, Mann, Gore, etc.
For the reasons above that is the end of our discussion. Thanks.

I think we’ve established beyond question that your arguments blow with the wind.
You go from presenting failed surveys you believe support your views to telling us you don’t have much faith in these surveys when they don’t support the arguments you make.
Excellent.
My view is there is no scientific consensus and I lean towards the skeptical side of the AGW/ACC debate.
I'm glad you believe these surveys are 'failed', as do I.

Just now, Chomper Higgot said:You seem not to know how academic reports are structured.
Where the subject of the study is outlined and where the conclusions are drawn.
This might help:
https://www.wordy.com/writers-workshop/writing-an-academic-report/
LOL - these two documents are not Scientific Papers/Academic reports, rather surveys.
In any case I don't understand your post. I checked out your link (wordy.com? Really?)
The site states " The sections that are usually included in an academic report are as follows:
Introduction
Literature Review/Background
Methods
Results
Discussion
Conclusion"
Here is the accepted structure of a Scientific Paper:
Abstract
Introduction
Methodology
Results
Discussion
Conclusion
Acknowledgements
References
Maybe Wordy.com is not the place people should go for advice on structuring a scientific paper?
