I Witnessed two swimmers in trouble yesterday resulting in one death. Two elderly men (Not sure if they were traveling together) got into trouble yesterday with 1 meter waves and red flag alert. One barely escaped with his life, while the second died one the beach after CPR administered. RIP Lesson: Do not turn your back to the waves as they can knock you down along with a second wave forcing a person under water.

I saw a story on US Citizens being scrutinized by not being within the US territories for more than 6 months (with no ties remaining in the USA). This would apply to retirees overseas possibly. They see this as abandoning US Citizenship. Thus the next step of course would be to stop Social Security/Medicare. It is a new world of corruption that can include many “far fetched” ideas and instigations by a dictatorship. Cheers

Ok you were right. I went into the personal details and updated to Thailand address. The repercussions of stating Thailand as my “Country of residence” will hopefully be minimal. Also there is a hold n the account now until they sort out my new address input. Cheers

I too have two US bank accounts, and both of them need updated addresses every year. So far they have “accepted” my mail center address but threatened to shut them down if I cannot prove my US residence.

They have tried this as well, but so far was able to avoid my banking shutdown. WTF USA!

Doesn’t work… WISE only accepts address from you passport (issued) country

I’ve been using WISE transfers monthly for the past two years during my retirement without issue, transferring money from my USA bank account to my K bank account. I tried the normal WISE transfer yesterday and there was a red notice that I had to update my information. So I went in and saw that all was ok with my information and tried to continue. Again I was denied and called the WISE people who told me that I now need a physical address in the USA and that it cannot be a “mailbox”. I asked about who was behind this regulation and they sent me an email that the “Financial Crime Enforcement Network (FCEN) was behind this new requirement. My concern as a US Citizen is the “whats next” question? Are they working on cancellation of overseas living or retirement? Will they cancel my Citizenship and therefore my Social Security because I don’t own a home in the US anymore? Quite disturbing activity by the powers involved… Any other folks out there having this problem? Cheers!

I would say (as a forced retired airline captain due to the age restriction), that there are many VERY EXPERIENCED pilots out here “sitting on our thumbs”… fully capable with a lifetime of experience that would love to get back into the cockpit. Changing the pilot age rule to accommodate the possibility of pairing old experienced guys with a under 65 (for safety) could go a long ways to ease the pilot shortfall. Sidelining a lifetime of experience due to age is a tragedy. Pilot retirement should be predicated on mental capabilities and physical testing, not some arbitrary age… Cheers

UK Blokes don’t feel bad, as a US Social Security recipient, I am looking forward (NOT!) to my 21% reduction in benefits in 2033. The Government is prepping us through media outlets…but still insist on throwing billions at the corrupt war machine, instead of fixing the SS problem. Corrupted F##Ks! Sad!

Charlie, I too saw a large deduction when I had the SSA direct deposit to my K bank account. Every month I would lose close to $60 USD. This, as I traced the flow…was due to the SSA using banks in the USA to complete the transfer. THEY are the ones skimming the USD before it hits your K bank account. I subsequently switched from that method to my own transfer using WISE. I save roughly $40 USD per month cutting out the middle bank fruadsters! Cheers!

Why in the hell is this “stuff” being shoved down out throats (in the name of progress)? We can’t do anything without staring at our “smartphones” for hours a day… With this digital society…and now especially AI taking over our thoughts and direction of “what is smart” will certainly lead the human race toward its own demise and obliteration!
