What is this obsession with Hubs in Thailand?? Yester i read this BANGKOK 27 September 2011 (NNT)-The Ministry of Cultures is drafting a strategic plan to transform Thailand into Asia’s hub of Asian films.
And now this Thailand To Become A Hub For International Education NNT
The first department should be learn to be a HUB Cleaner, u guaranteed a job in the Thai Government

If it is properly executed, it could be a great thing. Flight schedules and real-time info for arrivals and departures were available on the tube would be useful for sure.
"Properly executed" are the key words though, because the information would have to be up to date, accurate and reliable. We all know how those kind of projects go in Thailand.
Has the makings of being a loser though. Considering that most people nowadays have access to the internet, very few will turn to the TV for information like this anymore.
And we can see the scam from King Dutyfree live and the fak police bringing thieves to motels outside the airport not to the police station etc. all the fake taxis and the luggage touts who open ot syeal the luggage that is forgotten and they say it never arrived.. Good ide this tv channel

Happened to me too several times, i tried 3 whitdrawals of 20000 and 60000 missing when i called my telephone banking, so i called customer service and the the balance was ok and they said it will be updated in 2 days on my internet banking because of weekend that time

Yes ... that's right. it is a worry. The Chip and PIN system is not normally used here, (although the terminals are able to cope with foreign card Chips and PINs, but you need to explain to the shop assistance how it works). ATM PINs are a separate system and they are not used in the shops.
Local cards just work on the signature. My wife used my card for a year with 'Mr .... ' written on the card.
In Paragon shopping in Bkk all the shops i been to ask for ID card or Passport no matter if it is Foreign card or Thai card, but then again i been places where they not ask

I did not fell this sick for a very long time. Simply do not understand how apparently also a lot of people that you would consider "educated" voted for this circus. How can they forget that easily???
Only good thing coming out of all this is going to be that their dreams will soon turn in nightmares for a lot of people and that is when hopefully they will realized what kind of mistake they made voting for them....

Voted for this circus ? Who started it ? The Army and after that we had Constitutional Court ruling who outed Mr.Samak Sundaravej and Somchai Wongsawat from PPP ? And non elected Abhisit Vejjajiva was suppose to be in power to 2016 if he hadnt announced new elction now only because of the riots last year.

I too was refused a Tourist visa (single or double)
Too many back to back
That is the bad news
Here is the good news lol
The exact same reason I was refused a tourist visa is the same why I qualified for a non immigrant single entry visa
So instead of panicking just get a new form and apply for a non o
My guess is that the non o costs 2000bt and the embasssy have to make their money somehow lol
In the end it will cost only 100bt more for 3 months
Tourist Visa(60 days) free plus extention (30 days) 1900= 1900
Non immig O 2000 (90 days)= 2000
Btw You won't get a non imm multi entry i tried that and i had the gf with me so that helped
Hello i have the same problem refused in Vientiane. How old are you to get Non O 90 days?
I have family relations a baby, but you have to be 50 and over to get a Non O for family visit.

For what it's worth - I got 4 back-top-back 30-day tourist visas at Savanakhet, but on the 4th the consul wrote a note which basically says no more until I do the whole Thai bank account thing and produce the financial means proof. This is in spite of me having all my ATM receipts and bank statements to back it up. It's not that they think I am working (I am 64 and retired), they just don't like tourists to be anything more than passing through. This came from a few comments made between the consul officers in the background while they were discussing my case - they didn't think I would understand what they were saying
Maybe not official policy - or is it?I now have to guess how long I have to stay out before I can return. I might apply to the Thai consul in Ireland (Irish passport) for a 4 entry 60 day and see what happens.
If u understand Thai that well, u should know there is no 30 day Tourist visas or u got a double entry and misunderstood that u have to go back to the consulate every 30 Day. The touristvisa is 60 day and 30 day on at the immigration office in Thailand
