It can be if people will stop, or better yet, the government will not allow the habit and practice of 

crop burnings, what other farmers in other countries are doing? go learn from them...

I read the article, to me leaving all your worldly possessions to a maid while I'm certain that she had

relatives and closer family members than a maid, but sometimes strangers treat you better

than your own flesh and blood..

Pity that a woman had to end up her life in such way and leaving everything to a stranger maid

while I'm sure that she had siblings and relatives back home not being on a good terms with any of them

enviously enough to leave her worldly possessions to them...

Just like many motorbike riders without helmets, same goes to many drivers who seems to disregard wearing seat belts

(I admit, I'm one of them) driving around town...( although my car is a much more safety protected than a Toyota Vios)...
