Eh??? I too was at Hang Dong and it was supremely efficient. Have my appointment for Astra vaccine booked for 7 July at 3pm Bangkok Hospital. Loads of other people queued quietly and in an orderly manner and achieved a result. Goodness knows where you were. Certainly not at the same place. BIG C Hang Dong. It worked well.

I live in Thailand because I am unable to sell my house right now. As soon as it sells I'll be going home to the UK.

So Prayut says any tourist must wear a GPS wrist band, ha, ha ,ha, dream on pal.
I can see Chinese tourists complying with this nonsense but not any from Western countries

Not such a bad idea. Except nothing works in Thailand. During the booze ban village shops were still selling alcohol. I even saw a policeman buying whisky. Too much drinking going on in general. Creates huge social problems. Just go to a shop and buy your poison. You don't need to do it online

Probably HER nice house.
Pretty much no woman wants a nice or caring man. They like scumbags.
Actually some predictably low grade replies here. But happily the house is secured and not in her name.

I'm one of those unhappy here. I feel trapped because I have an expensive house that I cannot sell. That leaves me depressed because I am ready to move on, and in my case that means back to the UK. Why?
Well as I get older here I have more health needs. Although I am quite fit and healthy, I cannot get health insurance at a price that I can afford. Secondly after a couple of false starts I met my wife 9 years ago. As time moves on it turns out that she lies and scams but presents herself as a little miss wonderful who never does anything wrong. She's currently travelling again - Covid doesn't stop anything for her - and she is in Germany staying with her friend (female) whom I know is a sexual partner though she denies it. At the same time she scams money from men - particularly one in Alesund Norway and he pays for her flights and other support. But off course I have loved her very much and at one time we had a great time together. So I'm stuck in a beautiful large house that I can't sell, in a country where I have friends but no family and unable to visit my kids and grandkids in UK because of lockdown. I have hobbies - centred around cycling - which uses my energy and half my day. I don't do bars or suchlike so that leaves me wondering and wandering for the rest of the day. Yes. Unhappy here but at least in the UK its familiar and I can get more involved in things which I can't here.

UTTER AND COMPLETE Rubbish!
1. A colleague who has been going part way up Suthep on his own and with a mask most days since the lock down reports that he sees hardly any cyclists there these days.
2. You NEVER see large groups riding together up the Doi because of the terrain. Groups break up quite rapidly and riders rend to end up in pairs or solo.
3. I'm 71 and occasionally ride up there. I've NEVER EVER seen riders snorting, coughing, wheezing and sneezing. Not even me at my age. Ruddy nonsense
4. I understand that Masks are not compulsory for exercise but on my ride around the Ping River today I counted 0 Foreigners without masks and 37 Thais.
I wish people wouldn't publish these lies.

Lanna Thara Moo Baan on Ratchrupruek Road. I've been here 11 years. Its a clean and well organised gated community. Handy to everywhere.

Is there a charity that refurbishes or recycles or otherwise needs any old electronic equipment? Ive got a couple of decent printers and loads of bits and a fax/scanner, phones etc and they need a good home. Iglu only wants computers ... otherwise I'm stuck not knowing what to do with this stuff.

I know a "farang" who runs a successful business. His mother-in-law insisted that the workers get paid way less than the minimum. Her justification was that they are from across the border. My friend insisted that they be paid above the minimum and receive other benefits too. He told the Thai mother in law that if the business was not making sufficient money to pay people and treat them properly then it wasn't worth being in business. He won the argument. Hey: That's an anti-Thai pro Farang story. Bet that doesn't get reported.

I am stuck here because I cannot sell my house in Chiang Mai. Its a great property on a secure moo baan. The Price has dropped by 33% but still no buyers. Thats because the housing market is dead. If I could sell I could move back to the UK and buy a small house. But with the rental prices in the UK I have to stay here until I sell. I am stuck. Glued. Immobile. Depressed. So if you want what is in effect two houses partly furnished for a snippet let me know (lol). We can start talking at 16m. It would include some beautiful high quality furnishings etc.

More drivers will paint their licence plates white so they don't get picked up on camera.

I know Ivan well and I have ridden with him whilst he has been on that bicycle. So don't play smart with me. Joe: Sometimes it is far better to keep your fingers off the keyboard rather than make jokes about someone who has had a serious accident. That's why I find you both ignorant and disgusting.

What a of stupid and ignorant comments. Ivan is Irish, an experienced cyclist and a good man. These kind of comments that you people post are the absolute pits. Not sure what happened here but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that the events did not take place as reported.

They should also Ban alcohol in the home. Thousands of women get beaten up each year by their drunken partners.

Hi. Asking for a friend (lol)
If a Thai woman divorces is it true that she cannot marry again within 300 days?
If she wants to marry quickly does she have to prove that she is NOT pregnant?
If she changes her name and therefore passport what happens to her 5 year Shengan Visa?
Any other information?
Thanks for your help

Our maid found one in the garden here in Chiang Mai. She was scared stiff and warned us that these creatures can kill. My maid at the time was a 52 year old Thai woman.
She locked herself in her room until I assured here that I had disposed of it.

Really? I've got my appointment for 7 July. I for one recognize what a difficult situation this has been for everyone. It doesn't help that supplies have to be imported and manufacturing in different countries set up with the ability to export. It's a massive logistical problem affecting every country, every person in the world. So all the critics should understand the wider issues. Personally I think Thailand has done well and I'm glad I am here and not in countries like the USA or UK where there have been countless deaths and desparately bad leadership (improving now on both cases)
