Assuming you already have gotten at least one COVID jab in Thailand there should be a 13 digit number on the jab doc given you.  That 13 digit number is like a psuedo 13 digit Thai ID card number  you can use to register.  Or at least others have posted that method worked for them.  For me I registered with my Pink ID Card.

Thanks for reply here. Yes, I have received both jabs in BKK, thanks to the UK, British Chamber of Commerce and have my certificate.

  2. There are a lot of conditions/hoops for people to go through to come here. Personally I would never want to visit Thailand during these failing times where the government doesn't know what is going on and changing policies and requirements like it was a merry-go-round. Will there really be that many people willing to jump through all these hoops to come to Thailand? It has changed so much here and is still a big risk for catching Covid-19. Down in the south where I live, it continues to be a problem and still very bad every day with people catching the virus, especially in Nakhon Si Thammarat. If tourists really have the money, patience and time then good for them, but I would stay away until next year.

  3. I have been using TransferWise (Wise now) for about 4 years. I usually have the money transfer completed with 5-10 minutes. There have been only a few instances where it took a day, but that was due to a weekend and holiday combined, so that may have caused the delay.

The money goes to Kasikorn bank, my wife's account for our monthly expenses.

Not sure why some people take longer than 1 day. I have seen one comment about using Swift transfer, I would not use that method.

I always use the Debit account option from my UK Lloyds bank and super fast and cheap rates with excellent exchange rates.

  4. This is why so many people believe that the corruption in Thailand continues and widespread. Why are there no investigations of how they obtained the money? Because if you did, then most of this high office corrupt people would fill the prisons. Oh well, there is so many cheating and scamming people in this world, Thailand is just a small part of it and I live here with it. Just don't scam me, don't steal from me and I am fine. It will never change here, at least while I am alive, 55555.

  5. They no longer add pages since 2015.

You must now get a new passport once all the pages are filled up.

So get the larger 52 page passport if you you travel a lot and are young enough to fill up a new passport again.

My passport was still valid with another 8 months, but told to buy a new one by the US embassy website.

    https://th.usembassy.gov/message-for-u-s-citizens-important-change-to-your-passport/

Standard passport books have 17 blank pages, but you can actually start with more! Frequent travelers should consider requesting the 52 page passport book.

Government people gambling with the lives of it's people in oh so many ways I just can't count

This sounds like a replay from Trumps playbook. I have not heard the PM say anything about injecting with bleach however, maybe he missed that one. Trump is responsible for his <deleted> job as well as the PM here in Thailand. Maybe they are friends.

Same with the American embassy, however I do get more timely information from the British embassy. With much gratitude I give thanks to the British embassy email this morning alerting me to register at MedPark Hospital in Bangkok. About 15 minutes after I registered, I received a confirmation email with a time and date for my vaccination.

I am registered with the US embassy and also received my new passport last year. However I have not received any information, warning, alerts or useful info at all from the useless <deleted> there. Why are they actually in most countries, do they serve a real purpose?

Can anyone recommend a country to visit from Thailand for holiday and vaccine.

    AU passport.

Serious question. I'm over this rubbish.

Do you plan to stay there and receive the 2nd shot?  It may be expensive to be fully vaccinated by travelling to another country.  The interval between 1st and 2nd shots is approx. 21–28 days (3–4 weeks), recommended by WHO.  Depending on the vaccine, the interval may be extended for up to 42 days – or even up to 12 weeks for some vaccines.
