As a rule of thumb when 80 percent the trichomes, small white hairs on the end of the buds have turned a brown/orange color the plant is ready to harvest. Going by the pictures you posted yours are not quite ready to harvest.

    Cheers....Seems like thats the case.

How old are the plants, from germination? in days or weeks.

How long have they been flowering? in days or weeks.

What strains? Did you get seeds or cuttings from someone? Maybe you could ask them about the flowering period for this varietal?

It looks like a pure sativa.

Challenging to make any determination based on those photos.

Looks like a thrip issue though.

What do the trichomes look like under magnification?

Calyxes look quite young, my best guess is that you could let these go quite a few, 3 or 4, more weeks.

The first plant i got has been budding a few months...say up to 3 or 4? The second I would say...2 months? I bought both in pots when they were maybe....a foot high.

I think you are right though, my gut feeling ( based on what?? ha) tells me to let the first go and most certainly the second which is greener. I think they could become more dense...though again I am basing that merely on buds that I have been given in the past. I know that some leaves turning yellow and dropping off is possibly part of the process. Again though I am not 100%

    Thanks for the advice.

  3. I have two different budding plants.....you will probably be able to tell by the photos. One has been budding longer than the other. I am new to this. The plant that has been budding longer is certainly turning a little more brown...I have read I need to wait till the leaves on the buds start 'turning in ' on themselves??? They look more dense BUT I am not sure. The other plants buds are looking pretty green. On the older plant some of the small leaves that grow out of the buds are dying...but the 'mass' of the bud looks ok.

Any advice? This is the first time I have ever really grown it.....go easy on me.

Yeah, a work colleague mentioned a 66cm rise, but she wasn't clear if it was 66cm above normal (which we would survive) or 66cm over current (break out the submarine).

It wouldnt take much in some areas around here. Could we have the 'it'll never happend again' flood again? Yes, the 'above normal' or 'over current' would be nice to know...

  5. Hello all,

My son, who is now 15 has recently listened to my logic regarding the lack of benefit from playing computer games all day...and the benefit of exercise. I separated from his mum two years ago, but moved near to him and have seen him when I can. I do weights with him and try to teach him about diet etc.....He is a lovely kid and I want to know if any of you on here can point me in the right direction...

I have been trying to find some kind of fighting 'camp' that he can do. He is showing interest in MMA/boxing etc but where we live there is <deleted> all. I have seen some camps for kids, but they seem to target the farang contingent ,coming from overseas. My son has Thai i.d....he is Thai, so I want to get him into something...well, for Thai kids and THAI prices if possible.

Do any of you know of such I guess 'intensive' camps for teens? I am talking something that is structured and goes for up to a week. I dont mind driving him to another Province if I have to. I live in Pathumtani Province. I am thinking about trying to send him during the next October school break.

He seems very keen. I love the little fella....(not so little now at 179 cm...)

    Any ideas MUCH appreciated!

  6. Thanks all....

I destroyed one of the 4 plants that had those pod looking things...so probably the male....

I have 3 plants left two much shorter and stockier with WIDE leaves and a darker color....and another plant that has grown much quicker, with much narrower leaves....

Indica and Sativa strains??? The two stockier are hemp? The taller plant seems to be making small buds, the shorter stockier plants must be around the same age if not older....but I dont see buds yet.

The first pic is of the shorter stockier plant with wider leaves, the 2nd is the much taller and lighter green plant.

  7. Ok, I have taken more pics....it seems based on the advice and pics from you lovely people (thanks) that one is highly likely to be male...Unfortunately it has been right next to another plant that is most likely female?? The likely female is taller and the leaves are a bit bigger???? Strange thing is the plant that seems to be male is starting to bud....or something??? The possible female isnt as much.

    Anyway here they are..

The first two are probably the male plant...with some kind of buds growing. The next two are the possible female....Now, if one is a male do I just destroy it? Can I move it away or is there nowhere far enough away??? Its a pity...but..

  8. Ok....So I now have MORE plants. I bought two more much taller plants a few weeks back...the guy said they were females.....yeah ok, I am a bit clueless still...YES I have googled it..but if someone with a lot more experience than I can set me straight...I owe you a beer. I know that keeping male and females  together isnt good....So, are these plants males or females? Please take a gander...The taller plants seem to be budding...  I think!!??? The first two pics are of plants that are much smaller and have not grown much. These are the same plants I posted pics of the first time. The next 3 are of the new and much taller plants. They are about 5 foot high.

You pinch the top off about 8" from the ground just above 2 leaves.

Then new branches grow from the join of each of those 2 leaves.

Giving you a bushy plant instead of a long lanky stick plant.

You can use the top aas a cutting for a new plant.

Here's one I did a few days back, the new growth is very fast.

Sadly this is plant looking like a boy!

    Thai landrace, Cannabis, sativa.

My guesses, based on the photo, leaf geometry and overall stretch.

Assume grown from seed, so probably 50-50 M/F.

Get them into a bigger pot. May be too late to top/FIM?

May be too late to top/FIM?.......Sorry could you explain that.
