hi to all,
my friend planned come to Chiang Mai (first time travel to Thailand) with family, 2 adult + 1 child, just for living there maybe about 1 year and look around/travel/holidays/healthy things
plane from Russia to BKK --> Chiang Mai
1) do they need tickets back or tickets in another country (where they can make next travel visa for example, witch one better)? or just unpaind booking enough (valid in 10 days)? or some another way better ?
2) first they want use 30 days free stamp on arrivals, after - what kind of visa best way for them ? (if they plan stay there near 1 year, interesting cheap/easy variants) need to make visa for child 4 year ? What better for living ED visa or travel visa ?
3) how much they must to have cash with yourself in airport (Russia)? in Thailand/BKK ? how much money they must to have on border for example with Laos Vientiane ? only $$$ dollars right ?
I will be very grateful if someone writes everything step by step and how to make everything better
cheers to all

You shouldn't have admitted to working in Thailand. Even "freelancing" is illegal without permission.
You have little choice but to pay the 20K. You could report the extortion, but you open yourself up to prosecution for illegal working.
just when i make apply, everywhere i write im freelancer in online, and also i give to them later proof from my embassy about 40k up incoming, where have my work company and incoming
if i not do that, i cant hold 400k in bank account, and if i do - have this story
tomorrow will pay, and after will see what happened next
thank you for answer

There are men outside the embassy in Vientiane whom will fill in the form for you copy all your docs for about 100/200 thb you do not need to use them but they know what is required and it saves a lot of time, they will also offer to process for you for 5,000 thb inc the 2,000 for non o visa I advise against this option as it is a waste of money let them fill in the form copy relevant docs and then join the q inside embassy grounds
already done tomorrow need take back passport, we start drive car from chiang mai on 1pm, come to nong khai on 1.20am and trying to sleep ongas station, sleep in car not nice :D better take cheap hotel for 200-300 bath, i saw on agoda have something like this there, for sure its better then just car :D on border we drop car on paid parker
thai control without questions, lao same, bridge bus ok, many tourists inside, after taxi tricks - some taxi man said cmon thai embassy 200 bath :) and when we sit in car, he told from person lol ) and its like open car - pickup, we change in on normal taxi for 400 bath, seems like its anyway too expensive ;(
big traffic jam, taxi man trying to go different small roads, but i saw some tourist who sit in big van and they come on same time :D
i pass all who want to help with docs, coz i have averything like ready - very big thanks to ubonjoe, dont have some questions to me in window and it take 1 min only, but before stay in queue about 1 hour ;( too much people, looks like if i come for example 10.30 dont have people and can make it more easy, at the morning, just unreal people, all use "paper assistants" , and who dont use stay near window like 10-15-20-25 min, why for me it take so short i dont know, rly 1 min ) have to type of windows, for group/tour and just for single person like me
taxi there expensive, 400 bath per texi from bride to embassy
after we walk about 30 min to hotel from embassy - but dont see, cant find, on google map almost there damn ) after take took took for 50k kip, and he drive to embassy again from where we start :D and after speak with another took tooker mans and only after he understand where need to go, actuallity he make price like 40k and after told to us dont have change, yes ofc , was tired already and dont fight back
i take new hotel by agoda, sky city hotel 1800 bath, they still not finish it, 1.8k bath, have slipper and breakfast ;D not bad )
just little feed back guys, thank you again to everyone

Ubonjoe is correct sergy 2,000 bht plus paperwork always better to take wife with you if possible, non o single entry lasts for 90 days after 60 days back in Thailand you can apply at your local immigration office for marriage visa this time you will need to show finances stamped by the bank on the day you apply if you have a pension from another country you will need affidavit from your embassy, retirement visa is a better soloution.
thank you, yes - she going with me, we are still young )

No problem to use the 40k baht income option. You will need a income letter from your embassy to prove your income.
one more time for me please about docs what i need for visa,
1) marriage certificate plus a copy
2) copies of your wife's house book registry
3) ID card signed by her (copy right ?)

You apply for the extension of stay at the designated immigration office for where you are living here in the country.
if i will make visa in Vientiane for m non-o , after extension in Chiang Mai i can use there proof of 40k baht income without troubles, correct ?

There is no marriage visa. The only one year visa is a multiple entry non-o visa that allows unlimited 90 day entries for a year.
You can apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage at immigration during the last 30 days of the 90 day entry from a non-o visa. You will need 400k baht in a Thai bank in your name only for 2 months or proof of 40k baht income. My list of required documents is here. Marriage Extension Requirements.pdf
sorry, its always very hard for me to understand this rules :)
one more time, if i want to make 1 year marriage visa, i for example go to Vientiane, make there non-o for 3 month after go back and on the end of 3 m i go there in some office and make another step for 1 year marriage visa, correct ?

so, how to make 1 year marriage visa ?

Non-O , multi-entry, 1 year from Savannakhet only with no proof of financials.
Non-O, single-entry, from Vientiane with no proof of financials.
what docs i need with my self for Vientiane ? coz i want single-entry

You can only get a single entry non-o visa based upon marriage in Vientiane and no financial proof would be needed.
If you want a multiple entry non-o visa you would have to go to Savannakhet.
non-o visa for 1 year, right ?

Nothing needed but your passport to enter Malaysia.
thank alot guys!
-
Usually just a passport is needed at the Malaysian border but exactly what is required depends on your nationality.
With a valid visa just the passport is required together with the entry/departure card is required on return to Thailand.
Russian
not need to show money ? any another docs ?
-
hi to all guys!

thank you guys in advance!

It seems that you have a multi entry marriage based Non Immigrant O visa. You entered Thailand on 3rd Dec.2015 and received your first 90 day entry until 1st Mar.2016. All you need to do is a visa run out of Thailand and back in again to get your next 90 day entry, only your passport is required for this but you will need a visa for whichever country you go to.
Just nitpicking:
there are fairly cheap flights to Malaysia where a US citizen does not require (to pay for) a visa.
Can be done in a one day turnaround from Bangkok.
And of course the OP could even do a "home visit" to the US in summer or the like or any tourist excursion.
i like to go SG <3
need visit Russia, for meet parents, but not now, waiting new winter
US not easy for us i think, about visas, docs and its expensive O_O
-
If you prefer you can apply for extension of stay for one year. No more need to leave the country.
Then you just wasted some Dollars for a Multiple visa
Otherwise you can do border-runs.
Latest would be possible on 30 Nov 2016 and would give you permission to stay until 27 Feb 2017 (so almost 15 months in total).
"Up to you"
hehe awesome man, you give to me hope
so i have two way, what very not bad, if they not approve my docs (what can happened on 95%, coz i dont have any docs about proof my latter from embassy), i can make border-runs
and look like lady from Ho Chi Min was totally right, i really reask she maybe 20 times, like are you sure, are you sure, are you sure and she answer on clear english, yes
thanks to all in this topic and help, world have many good people

3 Dec 2015 !
You have a "Non O M" like multiple?
With that visa you can travel to the next borderpoint any time before the permission to stay ends.
Then exit Thailand, enter other country (Laos/Cambodia) turn around, enter again and get a new 3 month permission to stay.
Good wording is "border run".
You can do that until the "ENTER BEFORE" date on the visa sticker.
Instead of using land border you can also fly out/in.
Lady in Ho Chi Min is knowledgeable.
Your friends... well they better study a different subject
I guess your "ENTER BEFORE" date is sometime late in 2016 (December)?
type of visa : non-immigrant
category: O
NO. OF ENTRY M
FEE 200USD
ENTER BEFORE 30 Nov 2016
my friend told me, visa will burn, when i leave Thai, and after it i need make new visa ;( what too sadly, coz i have this one, and spent alot of power for make it )
the best way for me (dream), its apply for 1 year how i think, but who know what can happened, just i cant show my bank statement only latter from embassy (what i have now)
what kind of supporting docs they will ask me (latter from embassy proof of incoming), maybe you know ? i just sit and trying to find info about requesting docs and supporting docs

Title and text of OP confuse me.
But seem you really want to apply for one year extension.
just first time for me, and i confuse also coz people speak different ways, and where need to believe i not sure, for example in Ho Chi Min, women in thai embassy spoke about i can make visa runs with this type of visa, my friends told i cannot do this, where is true )
-
The title plus text of OP confuses me.
From the OP:
Non-O M Visa 12m, questionsfirst stamp is over 1 march
or need make visa run to somewhere ?
Simple question: when did you enter the country with your Non-O M(ultiple) visa?
3 dec 2015
need advice about visa
