    Hello All,

Just want to ask advice.. I got an 90 day non o multiple entry visa based on marriage from Savannakhet , I need to do a border run as my 90 days are nearly up..

I am just checking that if I went to Pattaya and did a mini van run from there to Cambodia, would I have any problems getting back in.. I have forgotten the rules on this as for the last 8 years I have been on a NON O extension based on marriage. I am from the UK.

    Many thanks in advance..

    Martin71

Better to fly to KL. Hotel and flight package with Air Asia is reasonably priced and more comfortable than mini van to Cambodia with all sorts of crazies onboard. Less questions asked on return to airports too.

That's exactly what I was thinking too, it goes on and on with those chinese, if you just look at how many ports they already own in europe.
And recently it was in the news that the container cranes they supply around the world also have spying capabilities again, sooner or later we are <deleted>.

Ridiculous comments. China has never invaded another country. Unless you count the Korean War, but they only did do to drive the American forces away from their border. It's fairly obvious who the real warmongers and it's not the Chinese.

Eight pages of people feeding the troll, the management must be very happy with the clicks. I remember when this forum used to be slightly useful, now it has become this, but as long as the clicks and views keep coming....

Ironically you just added to the clicks and the views by commenting... As I have myself just done!  It is the pub forum though mate so it's not exactly going to be an intellectual experience. In fact I've sort of enjoyed the last 15 minutes reading it. Well not really. I'm just avoiding doing some housework!

Depends where you are. If you to to Hua Hin, Phuket, Koh Samui etc...you will definately be ripped of with the overcharging and sometimes the average quality.

Bangkok seems the best place for quality at decent prices.

Have to disagree. It's easy to find normal priced Thai food all over Hua Hin. Obviously the night markets are more expensive but that's a given. Food court in Mkt Village is packed everyday with lots of fairly priced food. The main local market which opens early every day is also great value. In Khao Takiab there is also lots of normal priced food early in the morning near the 7/11..if you get around you will find good value food anywhere in Thailand.

I told you I could go on all day I was just starting that was just the first four out of 30 or so qualities that these ancestors of the murderous, rampaging Cossack people have.

And it was not just the ancient Cossacks that had this tendency, the history is as recently as the early 20th century.

Thus, the Red Army became an instrument of mass theft. The call to steal and loot attracted the dregs of society to the ranks of the Red Army. In fact, many criminals volunteered to join not because they believed in Lenin’s revolutionary ideas, but in order to get weapons and have the right to pillage and plunder.

If you want to blame people for their bloody history let's talk about the evils of the European empires or twentieth century US foreign policy shall we? People don't choose where they are born. Most people are apathetic towards history and politics. They just want to get on with their lives. Your hatred just leads to further polarisation and hatred.

I am looking for a colour laser printing service.

    I want A4 documents printed.

Preferably a shop between Hua Hin and Chumpon.

There is a print shop in the back of the basement of Market Village opposite the food court. I used them once to print bank statements. They were very helpful. Some foreign teachers were using them to print teaching resources too.

Your point?  I have been coming here for 20+ years, not once ever having a problem....until now.  My plan until this happened was to use Thailand as a base and travel around Asia for 6 months of the year.  The 6 month multi-entry is supposed to be designed precisely for that exact purpose.

A few questions about your many entries is hardly a 'problem'.

Well. Did you find a dealer in Hua Hin? I'm interested as Hua Hin is my home in Thailand. Thanks. Hope it worked out for you.

I just hold my hand out and count the change in front of the assistant then give a wai, I have been undercharged as well as short changed. Sometimes it is a genuine mistake and I believe the assistants have to pay any shortage from the till so I just make sure all is correct

No need to wai as you are probably doing it wrong. Have you ever seen a Thai waiing in a 7/11? Just a nod and thank you suffices..

Bangkok is probably your best bet. They have lots of ResMed dealers there. I bought one in Ramintra area a few weeks ago.

I was on a flight from Dubai to Bangkok one night when a fight broke out after a passenger objected to another setting the seat in front too far back. The crew vanished from sight and it was down to passengers to deal with the situation. Do these arrogant snobbish crew realise that what they are is waitresses/waiters in the sky. That's all.

That's where people go wrong. They are there for passengers safety and  not just to serve them.

Seriously? I'm going to start a "legal action" over a 3000 baht cleaning fee? That's ridiculous. I have better things to do with my time.

Did I challenge him? Bl**dy right I did. We had a very unpleasant, very loud shouting and cursing match, but I stopped short of attacking him.

Something important you missed. I didn't pay it, he took it out of my deposit. He gave me back my deposit minus the cleaning fee.

Do you live in Thailand? Your suggestions don't work here and quite frankly sound rather naive.

Lived there for 10 years. I said Threten legal action. Thats usually enough. They usually listen then. Of course not worth following through. Thats why I said threaten..Never had any landlord try this as perhaps they knew not to mess with me..

Consensus is that we will all get covid at some point, if you are not boosted though you are still at high risk so should probably just stay home until you get your booster.

The boosted though should likely live life as normal, the faster everyone gets omnicron the quicker herd immunity will build up.

This is different now from the early mad ideas about herd immunity purely because we are talking about groups with two jabs and a booster alongside a potentially milder strain that likely puts less pressure on the hospitals.

Consider UK currently, yes it skyrocketed but looks like its coming down again within a month.

If we slow the spread too much then we will still be here in years to come.

The lack of jabs for under 18's though remains a risk.

Not quite suggesting covid parties just yet though, likely though a market for covid positive only zones to party in.

Agree with some of whay you say here but you do realise that almost 1500 people are dying per week in the UK? Hardly a success story.

I agree. My last a***e landlord charged me 3000 baht to clean an already clean place after 6.5 years of all rent paid. It would have cost no more than 500 baht to clean it to perfection. This is the problem with security bonds - the landlord holds all the cards.

In that appartment in the OP, it could have been cleaned for free by trash hunters.... at least had all the stuff cleared out.

Did you challenge your landlord on the deduction? Take pics or threaten legal action? It amazes me how people complain about this behaviour but rarely do they stand up and actually do something about it. By jusy paying it means the landlord will never change thrir behaviour and so, the viscious cycle goes on.

I really appreciate all the useful info. (Obvious reference to language gripe! 55555)

We will return tomorrow, bypass the two ladies downstairs and go upstairs with the paperwork. I am very aware of the "Thai face" issue as well as not losing my cool. I will have the requirements printed out and big hi-light marker checks next to each of them. I will report back on how it goes.

Is 1178 "help line" specific to immigration or is this a general help line along the lines of Tourist Police.

Immigration hotline. They are usually very good and good English!!

A checklist in Thai, ahahaa Same as me in Rayong, they gave me a list in Thai and told me next time bring the wife. Can't the idiot IO's think that perhaps one in english might be better, that is if they truly want to assist.

Im fairness you are in Thailand so a document in Thai is a possability. Just translate it on your phone!
