Thanks. I tried your font on my laptop, works fine and took just a couple of minutes to install and see it working. The android box, well, still no joy. I am going to have one more crack at it today and if its no good b#lls to it, it has started to take over my life lol.
My box is a couple of years old and when the new version of kodi is released i think i may struggle even more.
I even tried editing the xml file but it would not let me , so i think something is rooted to the box. I have tried clearing everything from the box as far as i could but there is an old version of kodi still there
What is the exact problem with your box?
What box are you using.
Any Kodi installation can be removed by uninstalling in Android settings> apps.
It is not possible to have 2 version of kodi on one box, unless it is a minix and the other version is the minix modified xbmc, version
To copy and paste the fonts folder in to your .kodi>media folder you need Rootexplorer or ES Explorer, and have hiiden files enabled in the app. You can't do this with Android file explorer.
I'm nbot sure it makes a difference, but the folder should be named fonts, not FONTS or Fonts
Put the fonts folder with all te required fonts inside on a usb drive. Open Rootexplorer or ES Explorer and copy the fonts folder on your usb drive, then paste the folder into Root>sdcard>android>data>org.xbmc.kodi>files>.kodi>media
To edit an .xml file again you need one of the two apps mentioned above, then long press on the .xml file, and select open with text editor.

Thanks for that, but i was replying to the person who posted the font, he had renamed it ARIAL, (note the capital letters to differentiate).
The font i have working on my laptop is arialuni.
I will try your font tommorow, thank you
Keep in mind you need to create a folder "Fonts" in the media folder and paste the font in that folder you just created.
I also tried the ArialUni font, and the file I have is much larger actually than the one posted here (23Mb), but it worked only certain Thai subtitles where the AD-TT-Garuda works on all Thai subtitles regardless how they are coded.

I downloaded your attachment to a usb stick. I then followed your procedure exactly. When I looked in the fonts folder i had pasted all that was there was the ARIAL.TTF font. I am running kodi 16.1
This is so frustrating because as i said i have got it working on my laptop so i have double checked all the settings against that. The only thing different is on my laptop i have three choices of fonts but on my box only two.
Arial.ttf is available in the standard Kodi installation and does not support Thai fonts.
The one you need is AD-TT Garuda Regular
Create a folder named Fonts in the Kodi>Media folder, then copy and paste the ttached file into it. Next open Kodi and in System>video> subtitles select AD-TT Garuda reguler.ttf

You only meet the old expats that are leaving, not the many younger ones who arrive to replace them.
Thailand's expat demographic is changing.
Indeed, it's decreasing rapidly.

Or he might be bored shitless and die in 9 years.
I cam to Thailand on Aug 10, 1985 with 1000 BGP. I spent it in 2 weeks and had to get a job. I'm still here.
Get on that plane mate, there is SO much one could do with 12 million baht. I wouldn't listen to the rich guys here. Time for Naam to come in and tell us that's how much he gives his gardener, butler and maid in a couple of years.
You spent in Thailand 1000 GBP in 2 weeks in 1985?
Guess you bought a house then.

I got mine today at Banglamung. Went there with blue book, yellow book, and passport.
It was straight understood what I came for, and the documents were printed out of the computer, using the details in my yellow book.
Then the usual " I make new rules on the spot" clerk turned up and said I would need a Thai witness to sign otherwise I could not receive the card.
I told her straight away that she should not make up her own rules, and that if she needed a witness she could sign for it herself, because I don't know anybody in Thailand.
After some back and forward talking with the chief of the administration, it was accepted that no witness was needed.
All by all took 2 hours, lots of copies of all they could think about, all at my expense of course, and the price was 100 Baht without any receipt offered.
Pithy detail : when the id card was finished they asked me to go take a copy of it, sign and hand to them, as if they didn't have a copy of something they just printed out of their own computer.

When i made my 90 day report 2 weeks ago I had printed the form that is available somewhere on this forum. I handed it to the officer who had a quick look at it while mumbling what is this, then handed it back with the comment need picture, you can do next time.

Car is around the same price to buy new, but much cheaper to tax, insure and run in Thailand.
You mast kidding?
Now is 1GBP its 20-25 bath?
C350 in Thailand almost 3.7 ml bath in UK its 39k ..
I am not talking about some fun car..
c63 it 10 ml bath..
in UK its near 70K
how you calculate?
I am sure that where you come from a Mercedes is not considered to be expensive and belongs to the average Joe`s lifestyle.
I think you're trolling now. Thailand is the second biggest market after Germany for Mercedes.
So why you think in the UK the average joe drives the Mercedes? Right because the same car is there affordable priced.

Why should Thailand be cheap anyway?
Could it be because labor is about 1/10th from at home?
Just a wild guess you know

You don't have any Thai friends.
You may have some Thais waiting for their opportunity to make some cash out of you.
I've only been here two months, and I know that, guess you're a slow learner.
Glad it worked out OK in the end for you. Enjoy your new home.
Only 2 months in Thailand and looking at your post you claim to know Thailand already much better than others who are here for decades.
Amazing.

Is there an alternative for cooking where lemon juice is required ?
Real lemon juice in the small bottles, same as is sold in European countries, is available at Big C extra, and probably Tesco or other foreign oriented super markets.

I don't know where they are grown, but they were for sale in Makro Pattaya last weekend, so i assume other Makro's will also have them

So the tunnel-project was and is nothing more than a huge money-pit, creating some extra pension for the leaving city-council?
The #7 project will be finished around the same time as the tunnel. Too bad, because it will never be proved that the tunnel was and is a huge waste of money and that it is actually the #7-project that gives Pattaya some "air".
The tunnel project, there are 2 more planned by the way, has lesser to do with relieving traffic on Sukhumvit but rather traffic entering and exiting Pattaya Klang - Tai and Thepprassit.
Though I agree that it is indeed a money pit for someone, since fly overs would have the exact same result and save a lot of money.

Sadder to reach adulthood and still be clueless about a task as simple as sweeping a floor.
Another 1 with no understanding of sarcasmHelpless men-children with no idea how to look after themselves belittling those who care for them is not something I'd call 'humour'.
It must be sad to live in such a serious world !!
Oh dear, it was a joke...
Just saw the brush and took a photo, made the whole thing up..
You must be a domestic bundle of laughs to live with... !!
No doubt you lead a very exiting life

Kerry is Huge in Hong Kong
Looks like Kerry is a huge DISORGANIZED company.
I ordered the item on June 30 and it was dispatched on July 2 and received tracking number and picture of the package.
Since July 4 it shows as being at the Shenzen international hub on a particular Kerry express tracking site, but it doesn't show at all on the Main Kerry Express tracking site. Anyway the package hasn't moved since July 4.
I contacted Kerry Express Thailand by phone and they don't find any trace of the tracking number, in short it isn't in their system, but it shows on one of their websites as being motionless in Shenzen.
I send them an email through their website, but the email keeps bouncing with the message the mail box is full and can not accept anymore messages.
The latter says a lot about the amount of complaints they receive in my opinion.

As per the pinned information at the top of the forum.
http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/109057-thai-government-web-sites/
NCPO Thai government. 24 hour Call Center 1111 http://www.1111.go.th/
They deal with any and all complaints related to anything and everything.
Noise, schools, retailers, builders, police or anything else.
Consumer Protection Board. http://www.ocpb.go.t...?filename=index
This agency deals with all retails, real estate and alike problems, including faulty products, incomplete jobs, warranty's etc.
It also deals with unlicensed restaurants of food sellers.
The thing is that the claim is with OCPB Pattaya, but it's obvious that nothing will happen for some reason, since they couldn't bother to contact the other party yet after 5 weeks.
Would it be possible to involve NCPO for the lack of progress at OCPB?
In other words, would NCPO handle a complaint against OCPB?
-
On June 2 a claim, regarding the lightning strike damage caused by wrong installation of my internet service, was made an accepted by Consumer protection Pattaya.
I followed up by going to their office twice already, of which yesterday was the last time.
Now 5 weeks after accepting my claim they haven't yet managed to write or phone the other party for their version of the facts.
So it looks as if I will die from old age before this claim has proceeded.
It isn't that they are too busy, unless one counts picking nose as an activity, because each time I go there they are busy with doing nothing at all.
What are my options as I want to take this further?

You left out the fine print that may (or may not) kill your EBay deal, but only after it's too late:
International items may be subject to customs processing and additional charges.Item location:Suffolk, United KingdomGive me a local Thai item for a little more any day. Typically, I get 1-2 day delivery on Lazada if it's a Thai based seller.
There is no need for fine print, because Thai customs law says that everything over 1500 Baht must pay duty and tax, so even 6 sd cards come in free of duty
Something doesn't pass the sniff test when the cheapest I can send an express letter to Europe is more than the quoted delivered cost of the product coming from the UK.
And keep in mind the additional charges may include the actual duties and the customs service fee to run the item through customs to determine there's no duty to pay. If they ship via National Postal system, it may be zero, but if they use a commercial service like UPS, DHL, etc, there may be a nasty surprise. There have been many times I paid a service fee on duty free shipments, though they were always bigger shipments.
Have you actually tried that source?
No I don't have used that particular seller, but I have ordered hundreds of items from Ebay with similar conditions and small prints, and they all came in without import duties.
Has it eve come up to you that they don't send it express nor use couriers, and due to the fact that they may send several hundred items each and every month, they may get some favorable rates?

I just ordered 2x Sandisk Ultra Class 10 32GB MicroSD for my camera from Lazada (shipped and supplied)
http://www.lazada.co.th/sandisk-microsd-ultra-class-10-48mbs-32gbsqunb-032g-gn3-2609935.html
240bht each ........ are you sure you can buy cheaper elsewhere?
(450bht each on Amazon.com)
Why does your link say 239 + 29 Baht delivery.
How about 220 include delivery, and open to an offer?

Thai Subtitles in Android Box?
in Audio Visual AV

It is not possible that when installing any kodi version it shows as a different version. If it shows as Kodi 14, that mean that version is somewhere on your box and you have to uninstall it first.
Go to Android>setting> apps and try to locate that app in any of the sections, then uninstall it from there.
Failing to find it in the apps, you will have to use Rootexplorer or ES Explorer to manually locate the folder and delete it.
Anothwer option is to install SPMC from Playstore, as it is a fork of Kodi ( actually the exact same thing) and they can operate next to each other on the same box.
For the media folder in SPMC you select com.sempermax.spmc instead of org.xbmc.kodi
You should download either SPMC(old) or the new version, but in the latter case you have to go to settings>appearance>skin and change the skin to confluence.
