Apart from the high prices Singapore isn't a bad place. Clean, efficient, very good food of all types. But also rather boring, and extremely hot'n'humid, and with a very strict government. So probably better for a weekend than for life. I think that I would prefer to live in Malaysia (the highland climate is very pleasant) and visit Singapore from time to time.

I dont know about long-term visa/residency arrangements in Singapore.

Took a Flight from BKK to San Francisco, Asiana , Nov11, 0210,Airbus 380,100 or so people on it, everybody in Economy got a row to himself, about 6 people in the first 20 rows,the connection to SFO after Seoul, they used a 777 usually crowded flight with a lot of Indian Passengers, who walk the pathways like Nomads all night, I saw one who went into every bathroom on one trip every time he got up, well they do give Free toothbrushes, idk,Asiana Staff Very Accommodating and Smiley, not like those American Horses,about $700 RT,also two bags allowed.
