There are about 130-150 (not sure of the number now) universities in UK alone. so 47th in the world is better than 100 universities in UK. How would you describe these 100 UK universities ?

those were the good ol' days. Educational standards have nose-dived since physical punishment was banned in schools ???? Now kids going to university in UK can hardly write English or do simple maths ............

Since Thailand does not have a border with Russia - there a presumably other countries whose air-space needs to be crossed. I guess it will be easy enough to get permission from China .......

Back in the 1970's the US had a seismic station on Doi Suthep to monitor Chinese nuclear tests. It was linked to the Consulate by a special high quality 'phone' line. This wire fetched a lot of money on the (black) market, so very often two men on ladders would quickly cut a section off between two posts at night and disappear. There was a special unit deployed to mend the line. Those were the good ol' days !

I remember the Cuban missile crisis. The US threatened to kick ass if the missile bases were set up. The Russians backed off and war was avoided. Now that US was dreaming of having missiles based on Russia's front door, the Russian threatened to give Ukraine a kicking if they didn't back-off. The ever-expanding 'free-world' did not back off ......... Now the West is surprised that the sh*t has hit the fan.
