  1. Hello everyone, Im seeking advice about stay of my parents in Thailand. My father without thinking bought a ticket to Thailand for a total of 124 days to visit us (From 12 November 2023 to 16 March 2024). He forgot about the maximum stay requirement (60 days for visa expemption and 90 days for SETV). Im trying to figure out what should I do now so that he wouldnt have any problems in immigration. My 2 ideas are: 30 day visa exempt + 30 day extension. Then fly somewhere else for a week and then come back on 30 day visa exempt +30 day extension (so total length of the trip will be over 124 days but in Thailand it will be maybe 117 days) Do you think they will encounter any problems during second arrival to Suvarnabhumi ? Have anyone tried this before ? We did similiar thing before in 2022 (45 days, then holidays in Taiwan and then 45 days again) but without the extensions. Second option would be to apply for online SETV. Stay total 90 days (60+30). Then go somewhere for a week and come back on 30 day exemption. But the problems is that their flight ticket is from November to March. Is it possible to provide the embassy ticket like this for SETV ? Thanks for the answers.
  2. Im regular passenger on VIE- BKK route for the last 2 years because EVA air cancelled VIE-BKK flights due to COVID. I choose them because of the Premium Economy cabin. Last flight was 3 weeks ago Never had any issues with service on board. Not exactly the best service in the world but I would give a solid 7.5/10. Food is good, every +- 30 min they walked trough the cabin with drinks, they are willing to help if you ask them something. Some flights to BKK from EU are oparated on old (20+ years) 777-200 (VIE-BKK is one of them). Planes are refurbished though so you are sitting in airplane from 2017. What I dont like is that the re-configured Premium Economy in 2023 again and connected it with normal Economy. Before the change there was a wall and you had kind of "privacy" that I really appreciated. Only 2 airplanes are reconfigured so far but I consider this change not good. Currently Im waiting for EVA air to start flying to VIE again. Same price, better food (I prefer asian food) and service is more accomodating. So far I didnt had a chance to talk to their customer service. Rebooking, seat change or other things can be done online trought online booking management.
  3. Hi everyone, I went to Savannakhet for a visa trip 2 weeks ago and I think some poeple would appreciate a report so here it is ???? 14.12.2022 I parked car at 6:45 am near the border (Parking was just 150 THB per day) Before entering Thai immigration I bought a ticket for the border bus. The bus runs every 1 hour. After buying the bus ticket I went straight to Thai immigration and left Thailand within 2 minutes. I had to fill out departure form though (they had extra ones) which I didnt have because they cancelled it? Then I went straight to the bus at 7 am. After arriving on the Laos side I went to Visa on Arrival window. Paid 40 USD (+200 THB "fee" which I dont know what was for ???? ). I got the visa within 5 min (I prefilled the visa form the day before) and then went straight trough the immigration. A tuk tuk driver offered me a ride to Thai embassy for 100 THB so I took it. I arrived the embassy around 8 am. There were only 2 people waiting in line but all the previous reports said that it can get crazy so I decided to wait as well . Slowly people started coming but I would say there were not more than 20 people on that day applying for visa. 9 am the embassy opened and here is the list of thing they wanted: Filled out visa application 2 passport photos Passport Signed copy of my passport Signed copy of wife´s passport Signed copy of wife´s ID card Signed copy of wife´s Tabien Baan Signed copy of Marriage certificate. They wanted to see the original as well. Signed copy of Laos visa 5000 THB for multiple entry Within few minutes I was out they told me to pick up the visa the next day at 2pm. After that it was time to relax and explore the city ???? 15.12.2022 I stayed in Macchiato Resort right opposite the Thai embassy so when I went out at 9am and I saw that the line was much more longer than on the day I applied. So I can confirm that sometimes it can get crazy. I picked up the visa at 2 pm and then took a tuk tuk to the border for 300 THB (they ask you for more money on the way back because lot of people wanna go straight to Thailand). Everything went well and I was back in Thailand around 3 pm. Tips: If you need to print or copy something, right across the embassy is a small shop that can do it for you. They made a copy of my Laos visa there for 10 THB. I would highly recommend to stay in Macchiato resort opposite the Thai embassy, everything was nice, breakfast decent. Book with them straight on LINE messenger. Its much cheaper than on Booking.com There is a new night market near river (In Google maps - Savannakhet new night market) and it had few bars. Lot of locals, few foreigners and the vibe was amazing.
  4. Ok thanks for the tips. I have decided to follow a plan that @BritTim has mentioned. 1 night in Ubon and 1 night in Savannakhet. Seems decent. Just one question more, do I need a Kor Ror 2 from my wife if I got married in my country ? I have prepared original and copy (translated and certified) of marriage certificate but I have never been asked for Kor Ror 2 ever in any embassy. I read a report from few months ago that someone applied with Kor Ror 2. On the embassy requirements its not mentioned as well. Thanks for the replies
  5. Hi everyone, I usually do a single Non-O visa back in my country because 90+60 days is enough for me. Right now Im planning on staying little bit longer so Im looking for options where to go to apply for a multi Non-O visa I wanted to make a another non-o visa back in Czech Republic but they were switching to new evisa site and told me to apply online. I didnt have enough time to do it so I entered on visa expemption this time. My plan was to go to Ho Chi Minh City but I checked the appointments and the first available is in mid January which is too late for me because I go on holiday in the beginning of January. So I want to do the multi Non-O visa now. I used to do my Non-O visas in HCMC but since that is not option I look for another now. My questions are: Can I apply for evisa while Im in Thailand ? On Czech Thai embassy website they say I have to be in Czech Republic but its little but confusing for me because I read here that some people are applying while being in different countries other then their nationality. Please correct me if Im wrong. Has anyone tried Hanoi recently for the multi Non-O visa ? I can see some available slots for applying. No recent report from Penang but I saw some reviews on the Google Maps and they dont look friendly as they used to. Looks like the easiest choice right now is Savannakhet. But its a 13 hour drive for me and there is nothing to do there. So that would be a last option if there is nothing better. I can provide 400 000 THB in account but I would have to transfer my funds to Thailand for that. My embassy will not provide me with a letter of confirmation. So Im looking for "easier options" now. Thanks for the replies and take care.
  6. Ubonjoe, I did this visa in 2019 and no financial proof was required as I remember. Now I see in their requirements: 2.5. Applicant’s financial statement of adequate finance is required. Are you sure that the financial proof is not required? I dont rememeber if they wrote this on their website back in 2019 as well. Just asking because thinking of going there in 2 weeks for a multiple non o again . I remember it was very smooth back then.
