How many days in advance of expiry can you apply in Samui for an extension of stay based on non-OA (retirement) visa?
Up to 45 days in advance has worked there in the past but they can be a bit uppity (& there's nothing stopping them) if they're swamped (ie Songkran etc in normal years).

Biden won.
The next critical date in this fiasco is 6th Jan. With your track record in calling foreign elections i'm not altogether surprised that you learned nothing from the utter drumming you and your ilk received a year ago...
As a fellow Ponti on this occasion I wish Trump and the USA all the best & I hope their constitution rescues this situation as intended.

The blatant scaremongering from sky news this morning (John Craig; appears permanently asleep!) is a precursor to the somewhat predictable 'the sky is falling in' the public can expect from 01 January....????

The EU was in a state of shock when the referendum passed...if May had given the required notice immediately (I believe 2 years was required) she could have negotiated a good deal. Dragging it out for years only gave Brussels time to prepare for the exit and so offer less generous terms (and of course now there is Covid).
Cameron should have fired the starting gun the first Monday after the referendum.

I ticked 'this year' assuming everyone would realize there's a typo in the OP & it refers to 2021. I remain of the opinion that this covid lark is nothing more than seasonal flu that has somehow been grossly over inflated in tandem with the US election & one way or another will miraculously do a U turn from the end of January.

Suppose they’ll have to be something, as Brexit will be well and truly done. Remaining will be not only a thing of the past, but an impossibility.
We know they won’t stop moaning but their monika reflecting that is not allowed on TVF.
Rejoining is so unsupported by even the most stupid of them that its a non starter really.
Any of them able to suggest what they will they be referring to themselves as from 2021? What does the Grauniad think it will be?
...the irony being that we will then be expected to toe-the-line re 'losers (????) consent' ????

Fishing with submarines ? ????
Further to @billd766's answer; This caught my eye a few days ago and is rather more current than your link from 2016:
Fifth hunter-killer submarine named Anson
QuoteAnson, the Royal Navy's latest Astute Class attack submarine, has officially been named in a virtual ceremony at BAE Systems' Barrow-in-Furness shipyard today.
& here's a related reason why the ???????????????????????????? aren't going anywhere:
Red letter day for Royal Navy in Scotland
QuoteMarked by construction of a building hall for the next-generation Type 31 frigates and naming of the fifth Clyde-bound Astute Class submarine Anson

yep I saw that, so pre Brexit 10,000 permits for those evil foreigners to come and pick fruit and veg for the bone idle Brits too lazy to do it for themselves (as everyone told the government they would be) - next year 30,000 !!!!haha Brexiteers - it’s like shooting fish in a barrel !
I told you (in your original guise) that picking fruit & veg was the norm during school holidays in my youth; as was clearing rabbit warrens with a ferret down the ol' Y fronts or a trip to the coast armed with mackerel feathers. If I were in UK today i'd be clearing invasive crayfish from the waterways as that to is a 'Brits-won't-do-it' affair in the eyes of remainers yet they're easy to catch, delicious to eat & it's FREE to do so.

Traffic is insane there and they drive like insane people. I'd hate to think how many accidents I've seen there. This is the #1 reason I no longer go back. Traffic.
Traffic is fine of late due to the lack tourists wobbling about on chicken-chasers, furthermore Tesco can still be reached in >15 mins whereas usually at this time of year it takes more than an hour.
