  1. 148 is your place in the queue to pick up your passport tomorrow. You wait till your number comes up on the electronic board, (just like in the banks) you then join the queue wait in line hand in paperwork along with your 1000 baht you will be given back your passport along with a receipt for your payment. As your number 148 I expect you will have to wait about 45 minutes from when they open.Been this way at least 3 years, before you paid your money on the same day at the counter in the building adjacent, much better now than before.

  2. I returned to Thailand after a month in Laos,I whent to Jomtien on the 27th October with completed TM30 by my landlord.I was told I must report every time I leave the country (I have rented my Apartment for 3 years)The officer checked my paperwork, filled in the bottom section of the TM30 and stapled it into the back of my passport. She gave me a A4 sheet of paper all it Thai, highlighted a section said give it to the landlord not your job come here he must do.I said ok as I got up to leave I asked if I need to report again as I am going to the UK for Christmas, she said just bring passport, report to room 10 not need paperwork.

  3. Hi all, eventually got this sorted both previous meters were faulty. New meter fitted (3rd time lucky),and all working ok now.But trying to get the money back from previouse overpayment due to faulty meters seems impossible in Laos. When we asked for refund as previouse meters were faulty the reply was can't have refund once bill has been made out, have to pay no refund.Seems to be so many people involved here in Laos to get a meter fitted, all taking there cut.

Thanks to all for your help

  7. Hi,No Multiple Earth Neutral used on installation.Just Live & Neutral to main switch in consumer unit, all lives to live on circuit breakers, all neutrals to neutral bar,all earths to earth bar, including bonding from roof steel work, and earth bar to ground spike.I will try get family to remove earth wire from roof steel bonding and ground spike, see if this makes a differance.

    Thank You

  8. I dont know about government take, her mothers house has a dial meter and the charge per kw used  is 0-25 =348 kip. 26-150 414kip.151-upwards 799kip +4200 kip meter rental all + 10% tax.I cant comment as I have not seen a bill for a digital meter, but I was presuming it would be the same billing method, but I know one should never presume anything.

    Thank you
