  1. It definitely sounds like your phone has some problems...perhaps you should upgrade to the latest firmware revision on it (not sure if on the 9300 you can do it yourself or you have to go to a Nokia service center), that usually clears up a lot of stuff.

I use my PDA for MSN, yes, because sometimes I feel like chatting and a lot of my contacts are not in this country :o

  2. Well, you could try these guys:

Of course, with DSL, depending on where you live, only one company might be available...in BKK there's basically choices between TOT, Loxinfo, the above-mentioned TRUE, KSC, BuddyBB and CAT.

TRUE has the widest userbase, and like in all such cases, many love or horror-stories can be heard about them...try asking around in your building and see what people have and how it works for them.

  3. I think it depends a lot on how you use the Internet...if it's just for light browsing, this setup should be fine, however if you want to download stuff or just stay on the net for a longer amount of time, a proper package is the way to go (I assume you mean an ADSL package, right?). GPRS is a good complement to an existing connection for when you're on the road, but for any kind of medium/heavy net use, ADSL would be cheaper and much faster.

  4. Still, it should never be as slow as 20 mins for one e-mail unless you're using it in an extremely bad coverage area...has your experience with it been the same around town?

Other uses for something like the Nokia 9300 are instant-messaging, document viewing/editing, video or music playback, games, picture viewing...

  5. Malaysian Airlines goes from KL to Buenos Aires (with a refueling stop in S. Africa, I think), I reckon it's the most direct route...also, Aeroflot Russian Airlines is one of the cheapest airlines out there, going via Moscow. All of them would be quite pricy, though...what I'd do is collect frequent flyer miles and use them from Europe, paying just to get there...this way, 60-70.000 miles would cover a very expensive Europe to S. America trip and you'd pay just 25-30000 for the roundtrip BKK-Europe.

  6. Well, if not Fortune, Pantip should have what you're looking for, I'm sure I saw such adapters in those cable/accessory shops all over the place. There's a couple of music equipment stores too (ground & M floor), so you should be able to find one there.

  7. Correct country! Sorry about a previous clue, it's not its second-largest city in terms of population, but it is a pretty big, very old, culturally-significant city. If you google-image it, the pic I posted is one of the first to show up :o

  8. Nope, think Eastern...and Cyrillic :o

edit: Estonia's the closest yet geographically...it's not a capital, but it is the second biggest city in its country.
