Wise transfer from UK now doesn't show as foreign transaction
I've contacted Wise and they have informed me that yes, they sometimes use clearing banks in Thailand for 'costs and convenience' and that there is 'no way that they can guarantee that they won't use a clearing bank when they make a transaction' regardless of the Thai bank where you hold the account. I have already printed out my Wise transaction confirmation sheet as it does show all the relevant details and I'll take this to Immigration (Petchaburi) tomorow along with my bank book and a printout of last month's THB65000 transaction Bangkok Bank Credit Advice (direct to Bangjok Bank) and a copy of this month's transaction Bangkok Bank Credit Advice (via Kasikorn as a clearing bank) for comparison and we'll see how we go. I'll give you all an update.

Wise transfer from UK now doesn't show as foreign transaction
Absolutely correct DrJack54. I am fully aware of how the system woks and as I mentioned I have been doing this without issue for 8 years. It has absolutely nothing to do with the Bangkok Bank app or slecting long term stay. It is because Wise have used a clearing or intermediary bank in Thailand to complete the transfer (in this case Kasikorn). As I have said, the question is how it wil be viewed by immigration, which I'll find out tomorrow.

Wise transfer from UK now doesn't show as foreign transaction
Yes KannikaP, I have always had the FTT code in the book too and have been using this method for the last 8 years. This time it appears as NBD in the book and on the computer generated credit note I get from Bangkok Bank automatically it always states that the sending bank is a UK bank, this time it says Kasikorn. So, I am fully aware what it should be and it's obvious that the issue has arisen by Wise sending the funds to an intermediary bank in Thailand (i.e. Kasikorn) rather than directly to my Bangkok Bank account. The question is will this cause an issue when applying for my next extension and as such I'll take the book and the credit note (along with copies of the usual credit notes) and discuss with immigration tomorrow whilst I do my 90 day report. Not the end of the world anyway as I could simply revert to doing international transfers directly from my bank in future but let's see what they say at immigration first and I'll update here.

Wise transfer from UK now doesn't show as foreign transaction
Yes, I'll update this after my immigration visit tomorrow. A bit of a concern as I've been using Wise for several years and this is the first time this has happened.

Wise transfer from UK now doesn't show as foreign transaction
I'd been informed by a friend that his foreign transaction from a UK bank to Bangkok Bank this month using Wise didn't show as a foreign transaction, but as a transfer from Kasikorn Bank. I had made a transaction on 1st September from my UK bank via Wise for the THB65,000 monthly income retirement visa method as I have done for several years now so I checked the credit advice sent from Bangkok Bank and sure enough my transaction also showed this. It would appear Wise have sent the money to Kasikorn and they have then transferred it to Bangkok Bank. I am going to do my 90 day report tomorrow so I will ask if this is an issue (at Petchaburi Immigration) and update this topic afterwards. Just wondering has anyone also had this issue recently and if so, has anyone enquired with immigration as to whether it is an issue that will cause a problem when extending their visa?

switch non immigrant visa from old passport to new UK passport
Hi, my wife has just renewed her UK passport and received the new passport. What is the procedure / needed to transfer her Thai non immigrant visa from the old passport to her new one. Our local immigration office is the Petchaburi immigration office just outside Cha-am. I did this many years ago with my own passport but alas age seems to have clouded my memory! Any advice much appreciated.

Current turnaround time for new British passport
Hi, it's been several years since I've done this and now my wife's passport will be due for renewal soon. Is it still a case of going to the Trendy Building in Bangkok, filling out the forms and dropping off your passport? What is the current turnaround time for receiving the new passport (I had a couple of friends who had to wait almost 12 weeks last year). Any advice much appreciated.
