  1. If you have a Non O visa then go into a bank and ask what they require to open a bank account. That is the only sure way of finding out. People will offer advice , but going in person is the only sure way of finding out. I had to provide my passport with my Non O visa , my Thai driving licence , my U.K driving licence , my Thai phone number , my wifes I.D card and her Tabien Baan. This was last month in Kasikorn Bank Udon Thani.
  2. Ban all Brits from Thailand. They are all drunken low class yobs apart from me.
  3. Dual pricing is a fact of living in Thailand. It did not surprise me that I was charged 3 x the Thai price. I had to pay it previously when I have extended my licence and got my medical cerfificate from that particular clinic. It did wind me up enough for my blood pressure reading to be high 555. What is MCU an abreviation for ?
  4. Last week had to renew my drivers licence and the normal charge for the Doctors certificate is ฿100 but the Doctor informed me that I had to pay the foreigner price of ฿300
  5. Yesterday I renewed both my driving licences. I went to Udon Thani Immigration for my COR and it was the usual ฿500 and took about 45 minutes. The new office is so much better than the old one.
  6. Yes ! Lol ! The Kor Ror 2 is the Marriage registration and is not required .
  7. The Kor Ror 3 is your Marriage certificate and is obviously the proof of marriage.
  8. I have just received an email reply from the Thai Embassy in London. Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for your email. Please refer to the visa requirements and conditions below. Non-Immigrant Visa Type O to stay with family residing in Thailand (more than 60 days) Validity: a single entry within 90 days from the date of issue Length of stay: up to 90 days from the date of arrival Eligible Applicants This category of visa is issued to applicants who are spouses, parents, or children of Thai nationals and are currently residing in the UK/Ireland/UK Territories. This category of visa is issued to applicants who are spouses, children (under 20), and parents (with special care requirements) of applicants working in Thailand. Visa Conditions In case of the dependant of applicants working in Thailand, the visa will be issued in accordance with the main applicant who is applying for a Non-Immigrant Visa Type B. If the main applicant was granted a Non-Immigrant Visa Type B for a single entry, the family members will be granted a Non-Immigrant Visa Type O for a single entry. A visa extension can be applied for at the Office of Immigration Bureau. However, the extension of stay is subject to the discretion of an immigration officer. For more information, please visit https://www.immigration.go.th/. If any visa holder breaches the entry conditions, the stay permit will be revoked, and he/she will be prohibited from entering Thailand in the future. Required Documents To stay with Thai family residing in Thailand (up to 90 days) 1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document 2. Photograph taken within the last six months 3. Additional documents and/or an in-person interview may be requested if necessary. So yes it is as you said the Kor Ror 3 Marriage certificate which you receive on the day of your marriage that is needed for an application. The Kor Ror 3 is the Marriage registration and is not required .
  9. I am soon to apply and would like to know if the Kor Ror 3 marriage certificate is all they need or do they also need the Kor Ror 2 ?
  10. ATM card renewel and the annual fee are not thes same thing. My annual fee is deducted in June or July. My card expired end of January. I will have to pay my annual fee as usualmin June or July.
  11. Yesterday I renewed my Bangkok Bank ATM card at the Kumphawapi branch. The account was opened in Central Udon Thani. You can renew in any Bangkok Bank branch.
  12. The annual fee is for the account and not for the card. The card is valid for 5 years.
  13. I have an annual charge for the account. This is not a fee for the card as the card is valid for 5 years. It is an account annual fee.
  14. It would have been ฿100 if l had renewed before expiry, which is very reasonable. It was expensive because I renewed after the expiry date.
  15. No they did not sell me insurance.
  16. My annual fee is due in July. The card expiration and the annual fee date are not the same.
  17. My Bangkok Bank ATM card expired end of January and today I went to the Bank for a new card. I was told if I had renewed it before it expired it would have been a fee of ฿100 ,but as it had expired I had to pay a fee of ฿699. I had to have a valid Non O visa to do this renewal .
  18. I have just completed the application but did not submit and then deleted it. You need to show a recent statement of ฿400,000 in a Thai Bank or the equivelant in a U.K Bank account. No letter of invitation is asked for. I entered I would be staying at our privately owned house and no proof was asked for, only the address.
