Bangkok Bank card, cannot pay online
PremiumLane replied to Jorje's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
You just have to register to use it online. With Kasikorn and SCB you can either do it at an ATM, or online. Call the bank to ask them how they do it -
and by that do you mean people who train hard? I find everyone down there really friendly and nice, same with the one in Bangkok. Well equipped and I am not scared of no-aircon. You come across as very insecure, by the way ???? Also, you do know they have actual IFBB Pros who train there, So yeah, some of them do think they are champions, go figure, hey.

sure mate, did they laugh at you or something when you went in there?
-
sorry, but that is just plain wrong. If you get caught on any overstay you will be hauled off to the immigration detention center, and then deported with a blacklist. They have a real hardon for overstayers

Well there we go, "THaIS cAN't aPPrECIaTe CulTURe" - you do know there is already an arthouse cinema in Bangkok, right? But the opportunity to turn a magnificent example of old style Asian cinema into a showpiece cultural film centre and space has been lost. All for another souless shopping centre. And by the way, there is only one person around here showing their lack of cultural understanding, and that ain't the Thais ???? -

well you used a really dumb comparison with Madame Tussauds, that literally made no sense. Also, you do known that arthouse cinemas in cities are successful, but hey you carry on ???? -

arthouse films, film festivals, talks with directors, late night showings, classic cinema, showing films that people want to see on the big screen, music and film events - yeah, souless multiplexes might be dying, but real art cinema is not -

so mismanagement is an excuse to build another <deleted> shopping mall? Why not give it to people who would have managed it properly? -

Because art is important for life and culture. This could have been made into a unique arthouse style cinema, showing films that the multiplexes wouldn't touch, late night showings of classics, art events, film festivals etc. You go to most great cities, they have a place like this. And they are all seen as an important part of the culture of cinema, film and art. But what do we have left? More vapid corporate shopping malls, where the key to happiness is a bigger credit card bill. It is a travesty to the culture and history of this city. And don't come back with the old bs trope of Thais don't care, I know plenty of Thais who are <deleted> about this. -
agreed, but maybe a mix of both with some people - what with the dark skin phobia of some

Nightmare scenarios continue in wake of Thailand Pass launch
PremiumLane replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Except by Thai consumer law you are allowed to return something within 7 days -and funny cos I have never had any real issues with receiving refunds on faulty goods here -
This place is like boomer central sometimes. So we have a story to recall the great achievement done in rescuing these kids and their coach. And what do we get: First post, a meaningless rant about 'health and safety' for a photo shoot. Then followed by people saying the Thai Navy Seals were a bit useless and didn't know what they were doing. Of course these keyboard experts already know everything about cave diving. Let's forget that cave diving is a very specialist skill, that the Navy Seal divers put in countless days of hard dangerous work, listened to advice and learned, and were an important part of the whole team. Let's also not forget that one of them died! I don't know what it is about this place sometimes.

Thailand’s Khao Kheow Open Zoo defends elephant swimming shows
PremiumLane replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Maybe you should look up how they teach elephants to do tricks, they are not like dogs! -
It's good if you can afford it or have good insurance, if not then you are pretty much screwed. I spent the night in a provincial hospital before being transferred to a a private Bangkok one. At the provincial hospital, i was told I would have to wait a week for the operation to happen, and would be stuck in a open communal ward with only 2 nurses for the whole, very big ward. I was lucky I had insurance to get transferred.
