Are any daily testing figures available?

Specifically: location, number of tests, number of positives.

Saying there were no new cases in 29 provinces is cool, cooler if there were any tests performed.

All the fancy figures and graphs depend on who is doing the counting/testing. Is that data reliable? I don't think so somehow.

Thai TV last night reported that the girl's mother had been shocked to learn that her 19 year old daughter had been involved with the 53 year old man for 7 years. Do the math.

OMG if that's true, she has just grown up and going to grass him up! No name for a protected guy.

The biggest thing i dont understand is why people find the need to stand around looking , its something i have never done , will do or have any desire to do very macabre .

Really annoys me, help or get out of the way unless you're a witness. I've spent hours on the motorway in England at walking pace because of an accident on the other carriage way and rubber neckers have to try and look.

  4. I Know I'm sceptical but I smell something fishy. He lured his girls in to his 20,000 more like 3,000 baht condo! The victims didn't report the crimes for days! They didn't escape when he was distracted raping others! Sounds to me like a fall guy  for a hi-so? Just saying, the <deleted> who did it needs the full weight of Thai justice, but the right one!

After six straight days of 2,000+ new COVID case reports in Thailand, the nation finally broke below that with a 7 percent decline to only 1,871 new cases on Thursday, and a decline in new deaths to 10 versus 15 in each of the two prior days.

Thursday's tally, the second consecutive daily decline in new cases, was a considerable improvement from the daily peak of 2,839 new cases that Thailand reported on April 24, and even from the 2,012 reported Wednesday. Not all was good news, though, as the country's number of COVID patients hospitalized in critical condition has kept rising to 786, up 91 patients from the 695 tally on Wednesday, and has more than doubled in the past week.

The lowered tally of new daily COVID cases in Thailand’s third and worst coronavirus wave that erupted at the start of April came as government officials Thursday afternoon were set to announce whether they are going to expand closure orders for Bangkok and several other high case-count provinces beyond the restrictions already imposed earlier this month.

Thailand has now recorded 63,570 official COVID cases and 188 reported deaths since the start of the worldwide pandemic in early 2020. Those stats are relatively better than many other countries, but the Southeast Asian nation also has been lagging behind others with a slow pace of COVID vaccinations that thus far has seen less than 2 percent of its population get their protective shots.

In one other update, a government spokesman said 73 of Thailand's 77 provinces have issued orders requiring people to wear protective face masks when in indoor or outdoor public places. And 12 provinces, not including Bangkok, are urging their residents to stay home at night and in the overnight hours to help prevent the spread of the virus.

How about the 100s in the market every evening.

Well, some numbers are available, they are just not consistent. One set of numbers implies a 4 percent positivity rate, the other a 12 percent positivity rate.

Exactly and it's world wide. The cause of death is Covid no matter what underlying health issues there are. Every year there are a couple of thousands die of flu over the winter .20/21 none.

Instead of marching them up and down in the playground and dressing them up as nurses and boy scouts and reciting how great the nation and  all that <deleted> why not  introduce compulsory swimming  lessons like  we had when I was at school.

There is a swimming pool at a school where I taught a few years ago but no instructor, a Thai teacher that couldn't swim. I offered to teach them but it was refused because they wanted to teach them the Thai way not the Farang way and it would make Thai look stupid.

RIP little fellows you have a year from me.

  8. Mentality! 2 years ago with prevalent police stops, fining helmetless riders in Pattaya, there would be around 90% of riders with helmets "not necessarily on their heads". With the Covids there's no police check points 10-20% have helmets and 99% ware face masks. There's a reason there but it's beyond me!

The driving test is a 8 hr talk, you have to ride around a mock road track but nobody is watching! One girl fell off but still passed because the only official was taking the names of the contestants!!!!!!! If it's like the car test, if you fail 3 time's you get a pass anyway to save you looking stupid! Mmmmmm. Yep still beyond me!

    What a surprise...

The guy has no chance. Putin knows how to play the game.

The media is also doing it's part. Only report what is news today.

(The media is also a business, a circus that wants to make money.)

If you wait 6 months the media is not interested in Navalny anymore.

Then he's sadly just yesterday's news together with all the other Novichok victims.

I think there is much more to this, the KGB are and have been for a long time " rubbing people out", they are very good at it and the chance of survival is 0%. A deception is going on by whom or which side? I don't know!

They really love talking about themselves like they are the master race.

If they are so concerned with the safety of the vaccine, then why didn't Thailand make their own vaccine?

In a Thai lab, using thai equipment, bottled by a thai company complete with a thai logo stamped onto it.

I know why, because they CANT!!!

    We can copy mister.

  11. +4000 baht bar bill, another typical scam some venues practice when the times are hard.

Pay for each drink, don't wait until you want to leave.

He had an automated bill very clearly itemising all the lady drinks he bought, and there were a lot, so where's the "typical scam"?

The scam is you buy one and charged for three. You get distracted by the girl(s) when the bill returns, Blink your eyes and it's happened again. I've been stung by the scam and did my nut in the ago go, Paid my bin, gave them abuse and walked out! NOT PAYING IS SERIOUSLY BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH!!! YES!!!! Show girls LK.

  12. I love it how the vehicle at fault always becomes the subject of a verb in the active voice in these articles.

It absolves the human participants of any blame in the chain of events.

Ha! ha! ha! nicely put, on the serious side the question is why are they using a chain to tow something as large & heavy as a bus, surely it should be a solid tow bar with a suspended tow connected to a proper tow truck,- it's called "Safety First".

You are talking about "common sense" in a land of "uncommon sense". A second world nation with the personal abilities of the third or fourth world thinking.

It has to be the chains fault! Sue the chain.

  13. It is so frustrating reading "suspect" after his confession.

The piece of nothing is a murderer.

    And yes, he is Thai.

Im not suggesting in this instance it is the case but the RTP does have a history in making false and contradictory announcements or extracting confessions by unethical methods. Even fabricating evidence to protect hisos and frame the innocent.

100%, A confession is not a guilty plea here with the influence of the "HISO" face at stake! Police do have a reputation of getting a confession if there is a brown envelope at stake!
