Now, I'm 99% sure I'm not accidentally clicking on an ad, I'm 100% certain I don't have a virus or unwanted adware.
This ONLY happens on TV. Whilst it's a bit of a bind and mildly annoying it's not really a major issue.
A quick click of the BACK button in your browser will get you back to TV and allow you to go in the intended direction.
I thought I was going click crazy until I read this thread. It has happened to me twice today.

BTW.....Yank bashing has been an Aussie pasttime since the Battle of Brisbane....and since then has evolved into a similar love hate relationship that we have the Poms.....the difference is, is that the Poms slag us back
We generally save our "slagging" for countries that have a higher GNP than the State of California.
Typical Yank response....."we are bigger and better or richer"....what arrogance!!....this is an example of what most other nations really do dislike about certain Yanks....thanks for proving the point
Wow I sit hear and read all these playful little slaps and then some numb nut gets his panties in a bunch because he cant take it. Here is a couple of $$ go buy yourself something pretty.

Rigger summed it up pretty well. I loved all that too until some silly cow pulled out directly in front of me putting me into ICU for 2 weeks. But ... after over 25 years riding bikes and after too many accidents too count, sooner or later you will have a 'biggy' and become a cropper. You are more or less guaranteed to have an accident at some stage on a bike and that is something that has to be accepted. I'm now more or less healed (the accident was 7 months ago) and feel like getting back on a bike. Why? It's simple, unless you've experienced riding a decent bike on a beautiful day down a good winding road you'll never know.
Unfortunately, the wife says if a new bike comes, she goes!

To the poster that leaves his dog outside - why don't you do what millions of owners do in the west? Take the dog out for exercise on a leash everyday and keep it inside at other times. Leaving them to roam in the streets is irresponsible and is illegal in most developed countries.
If you don't have a suitable residence, don't own a dog.
Very well said. just because one can own a dog doesn't mean one is capable of owning a dog.

There is a separate section where you will find all the details.

I burnt them into CDs when reaching 700mb in different categories and print a description cover for easy finding. Or even thumbnails for the cover like those done in image bank or stock library.
It seems like I read somewhere that CD's burnt on your computer have a limited life span. The ones from the factory have a different or deeper burn method. Anyone know about that ??????

You receive a letter from government at District level prior to elections based on your name in home register that you will be listed for voting. You then do or do not show up on election day and show your ID card which is matched with list and vote. If you do not vote you lose some rights such as standing for public office. Voter turnout it normally quite high. As many people leave there names on family home register upcountry there may be several pre vote dates that you can go upcountry to vote at specified location. During the normal election booths are set up at most all villages for voting.
All Thai who are eligible to vote are required by law to vote. The penalties however are relatively small.
Thank you that is interesting to me anyway. Thats the kind of information I have come to expect from Thai Visa.

Well I'm going to try this once more. Any natural born Thai people out there, can you tell me a little about the process of registering and voteing.

Ok now that I have access to your collective brain. I have decided to commence to begin to get ready to buy a truck. What is the paperwork process and can a foreigner even own. And what is a good insurance company. I want all the details please, and thanks.

That's Suwannapoom. The v is pronounced as a w, the ar is an English(British) ar, which is pronounced as an American ah, the b is really more like a p and the final i is silent.
Whoever did this transliteration screwed up big.
Thank you, my quest has ended.

Hi all, I usually rent a car round trip from BKK to Surin. I have been to lazy to look for a car rental service in the town of surin while I have been there. Does anyone know of such a service there. Some time I would like to take the train and just to have wheels, be able to rent a car for the time there. Thanks

yes passport size photos. The U.S. embassy will give you an intent to marry type document. You get that at the first window you see when you get into the building. Thats the one you get notorized. When you get to the front of the embassy try going past the line of thais and telling the guard your going to ACS depending on his mood you might have to go to the back of the line (that sux) or you might get to go right in. once inside just stay to the right of the mob and push your way to the ACS. Good luck.
-
here is my thumbnail sketch as I don't have the actual documents at hand: I had to go to the embassy and get a paper signed, make that notorized. that was $30 stand in line for that. Then we had to get that paper translated to Thai. I'm guessin now but it was $ 10 We then headed over to very large ministry building on the other side of town $6 for taxi. Stand in line wait see the window lady go sit and wait have lunch. Go wait we got to sit this time very crowded the day I was there. I can't remember how much that window transaction was not much. After that we went and found the local justice of the peace. (amphur) The last one is the actual marriage registration you get a certificate, pay the man. MARRIED woohoo
Make sure you have pictures and your passport and her ID and here passport if she has one.
I have just boiled it down as the details are fadeing... fadein... fadei... fade... fad... fa...f........

This a gentleman and a scholar. I would buy him a beer anytime, and I'm not sure where he's from and don't care. Because we are all Thai's now
