I have been coming to Thailand for 15 years and I find it about the same. Some Thai are friendly and some just do their job. Some find us annoying but most seem happy to help and a smile goes a long way. I guess because I see a lot of Foreigners do not smile why should the Thai smile. On My first trip here since covid . march last year riding on Bangkoks Train system i noted that the Authorities suggested mask wearing. When in Rome. so I wore a mask. No funny looks from Thai.
But I noted how most Westerners (mostly young) got on without masks and with obvious contempt for the locals.
I do not blame the Thai for not smiling
When do we respect them
I get smiles most shops I go to because I try and follow the rules.
Old story though "If you see someone without a smile . Give them One of Yours"

Any assets in Thailand will be dealt with according to Thai law.
If she did not mention any one else in her will everything will go to the maid.
I saw on the news that there are already Thai people who are claiming they should receive the money.
So called friends who have not hat any contact for many years!
They smell money!
If As stated there is a Legal will then Courts generally side with the express wishes of the deceased.

How do we know the language was abusive? Sometimes I listen to Chinese people (who maybe discussing what to have for lunch) and to me it sounds like they're about to kill each other.
Is this the next episode of the anti-farang agenda?
But if true, this is disgusting behaviour.
But kicked an 8 months pregnant woman. that alone sort of supports the Thai version of events

You say hogwash and use an ad hominem attack "conspiracy theorist" because you can't disprove the facts can you
Did Navalny give impassioned speeches to White supremacists and was to revoke Russian citizenship from the Muslim Caucasus regions? Yes
Is there clear video of his top aide speaking with an Mi6 agent to start a color revolution? Yes
Does his death benefit the western MiC more than Putin? for sure
Who did the Nordstream attack?
Unprovoked invasion??? You are having a laugh. A despise Putin but you are not living in reality, I'm assuming you are American with your Assange comment so it's a quite simple thing, if China staged a color revolution in Mexico and got a new pro China government and wanted to place Nukes and Missiles pointed at Washington/NYC/LA that the US would just sit there and take it... You know you wouldn't
All US media has the same foreign policy you have state run news, same as the UK, there's subtle differences in domestic policy just the same as your Uniparty that acts as if they are different but are just a division tool to stop the masses from blaming the leaders and blaming their fellow citizens for voting for the wrong party.
Which Country apart from Western Germany and Turkiye does the US have nuclear weapons in. Please enlighten us? As if the US has any need to put nuclear weapons in Ukraine. Finland is a much shorter flight time to Moscow and St Petersburgh(which was originally Swedish was it not?)

Perhaps it is time for Western nations to review relations with Thailand. Is Thailand looking to join Brics?

Pathetic grovelling to an airhead of a daughter that knows nothing when Thaksin is waiting in the wings dodging jail awaiting to get his grubby hands on power again.
The people of Thailand and the country deserve better than this.
Absolutely no shame!
What do the People of Thailand deserve. Over 50% of them revered Thaksin in his time. And over 35% of them vote Pheu Thai and its associates. Maybe they are not the most honest but at least they did not come to power at the barrel of a Gun. A flawed democracy is mush better than Military Dictatorship. Thailand has a way to go but at least it is beginning its journey

One of New Zealand’s youngest political candidates, 21-year-old Hana-Rāwhiti Maipi-Clarke, has experienced more politically targeted abuse in the past week than many senior politicians have experienced in their entire careers.
The candidate for minor party Te Pāti Māori, has had her home broken into twice, her belongings and rubbish bins rifled through, a threatening letter left in her mailbox and a man turn up to her house in the early hours of the morning yelling racial slurs while trying to break down her fence.
In the same week, Labour candidate Angela Roberts was confronted by a member of the public who, she said, grabbed her shoulders, shook her and then slapped her face with both his hands.
Two weeks earlier, Labour’s MP for Northland, Willow-Jean Prime, said she experienced the worst racism of her career, after a crowd shouted and jeered at her for using Māori words during a candidate debate.
“When I said Aotearoa, the crowd shouted ‘it’s New Zealand’,” Prime said in a media conference, adding she was told to stop speaking “that language”.
“That is racism … and that is unacceptable,” she said, adding “what is really worrying is that they feel so emboldened that they can come out and say these things publicly.”
New Zealand enjoys relatively open access to its politicians, and historically election campaigns have been fairly safe. But abuse, threats and attacks have been ramping up as the 14 October election draws near, with women and Māori candidates being especially targeted.
Te Pāti Māori’s co-leader, Debbie Ngarewa-Packer, told the Guardian the party was no stranger to hate speech and online threats, but that the attacks directed towards their candidate, Maipi-Clarke, had crossed a line.
Sadly over the past few years there has been an ever increasing amount of skewed comments about proposed co Governance in NZ. By the extremist on the right they talk of dual parliaments when in fact it goes back to the heart of the treaty in which settlers agreed to consult Maori on development and use of natural resources. Not a dual Government. NZ First has talked up anti Maori and Foreign threats . National and Act also bash so called Maori privilege. using groups such as "Hobsons Choice" to skew a racist view. of course those with a chip on their shoulder will use it to physically threaten those whose views they do not agree with. it is sad to see this kind of thing happening in New Zealand we are not immune. I am not afraid of co Governance but i fear that there is a possibility New Zealand will have the most right wing Government in its history. Sadly One a party who had a candidate who was a member of the Chinese communist party, And One who has courted the red necks among the Gun owners of new Zealand. Both very much anti worker . Look possibly for a "For Sale sign" on new Zealand following the election. In 1991 a national Government passed labor laws (Employment contracts Act) which destroyed workers rights and set us back 50 years. Only in the past 2 years like in the USA have workers begun to recover some. Now we face a worse possibility so the next 3 years could see the greatest fragmentation of New Zealand in its history. Just My view.

Hilarious, except the poor Thais have to pay for this monumental cluster f##k to satisfy some stupid old guys egos .....and of course pockets.
This is so they can have open days for the Public (but not foreigners) to show off their new super weapon that like their Aircraft carrier is a giant white elephant.

the age of consent in Thailand is 15.
Tool low in my opinion but please do not brand someone something they are not.

I'm sure my friend would have gone back to the UK had he known the best surgeons in Thailand were going to mess up his leg. By the time he had it checked out in the UK, it was beyond repair, and that was an assessment by UK surgeons.
I understand that. It was after botched surgery in Khon kaen that the Aussie guy was advised to seek help in Goa (India) as opposed to Australia. The Surgery was brilliant.

An expat friend had a motorcycle accident in 2011 - it damaged his knee which required surgery. The best surgeon (and most expensive) in Thailand messed up the surgery and he had to go under the knife again - and again. Cost well in excess of a million baht - end result: His bones are ruined from all the surgery and can no longer regenerate.
They are so damaged he can't even get an artificial knee as the damanged bones would not support it. The only option would be to amupute the leg above the knee and use a prosthetic leg.
I would not recommend he get surgery again in Thailand, if that was his plan.
Some in the Isaan who needed serious surgery went to GOA instead. I met One aussie Guy who walked with a stick for several years after Leg damage. after Surgery in GOA he walked good as gold. I was surprised by it. Apparently the best there are.

Sadly this the beginning of the end for Pheu Thai and the rise of a new Democracy Movement free of the Shinawatra's . They had the chance to remain a force but prefer power to substance. so for Thai People what would be the difference. Quote Animal Farm. And the animals looked at the Pigs and looked at the humans and could no longer see any difference!

Should they choose this move it will be the end Of Pheu Thai and most likely lead to a landslide victory for Move Forward in the next election. You can dam the flow but eventually it laps over the top. The tide in Thailand is turning and the Ruling elites need to accept change is coming

Great plan.
Just blame the 5 year old victim.
What about the 3 other times that the dog has bitten people.
Were they all at fault according to you?
Obviously you have never been involved in investigations . Every case on its own merits. And reasons established. I suggest you rush at your neighbours dog fluttering a plastic bag and see its reaction. Better still come do it to my Rottweiler. I do not condone savage Dogs but too often people blame the animal when a human provoked it.

And the child approached with a plastic bag. Fluttering it or the dog thinking is is being attacked? What if the report was the 5 year old suffocated dog would that be ok for you.
