Maybe he expected his ghost to hang around and punish Mummy....

Hopefully there will be no interference by "other stakeholders" in this investigation. And Thai people seem to be surprised when the words "Death Island" get mentioned....!

50 mg of Sidegra now and again should do the trick....makes the member hard on demand but also adds a little meat between boom-boom duties for cosmetic appearance....if that's what he wants...

Would be more useful to conduct a proper inquiry into how and why this happened, and pass on the lessons learned to the public. A coroner's inquiry in to the death of the Navy Seal would also be done in a normal developed country.

You can fool some of the people, some of the time......etc

So image is more important than reality.....

One of my first vivid memories of 10 years ago was taking a Bangkok river cruise and watching the deckhand sweeping rubbish off the deck into the water. Thainess at work !!

Entirely justified...good work

Should have taken the whole family with her....doesn't make sense to expose the children to revenge, not necessarily by the authorities....

Breaking the 5 precepts in Thai Buddhism (thou shall not harm living things, steal, have sex with another's wife or husband, drink to excess or take drugs, and tell lies or gossip) are totally acceptable if justifiable by circumstances in Thai culture. For example, monks eat meat because that's what people give them to eat, people kill or maim in fits of jealousy, Thai men abandon young wives and chase other women when pregnancy arises, and become hopeless drunks or drug addicts while living off other family members, and women lie, as in this case, to save face......
Hard to understand why most Farangs think they can find true love here, but as I discovered, and Tennyson wrote...." 'tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all".

Seems to be inconsistent with recent reports of tightening entry conditions, eg equivalent of 20,000 baht cash required, and proof of hotel booking/return airfare booking to get get 30 day Visa. Got in last time in April 2017 by the skin of my teeth, after grilling by Immigration Officer about why I entered the kingdom "so often", ie 3 times per year .....

Surely these guys are not real students....must have paid their way into the School System to join the other tribal members.

The people demand blood....it's on TV, on the roads and in their homes....

Young friend of mine and his mate were driving home early morning in April after a party in Bangkok, in separate cars. They were stopped, tested and both over .05....negotiated settlement was 3000 baht each, no paperwork. So what difference will .02 make to enforcement of road rules or the road toll?
-
I'm surprised at this because when I apply for my usual 2 month tourist visa they require copy of return e ticket with the application....do different states in Aus have different rules?

The cops appear to be rubbishing her and also doing some touching, possibly in the hope that her wraparound cloth will fall off.....

Typical Thai emergency scene.....nobody, including police, doing anything, except standing around taking pictures !!

Very simple...barriers designed for low speed impact, as they are in other normal countries.....

On my last visit to Soi 80 Hua Hin, bar staff informed me that local police visited all bars once a month to collect their "tea money". So, when will authorities own up to this practice, which presumably occurs in all entertainment areas, and do something about it....?!

They got it wrong....the bride looks like a man and the groom looks like a woman.....which is what they were (are?) in the first place !!

She "wasn't tested immediately".....another whitewash by the authorities...

Thai TV is the lowest of the low.....unbelievable stories, amateurish special effects....and the locals seem to believe everything they see! Until they stop showing these rapes and the violent behavior...and the multitude of ghosts on TV, Thai culture will stay rooted in the 17th century.

Thai Buddhists are supposed to follow the 5 Precepts, No 4 being abstaining from false speech ie lying. I guess this means none of them are Buddhist.....?
-
Thailand may be predominantly Buddhist, or at least ostensibly Buddhist, but most people don't understand the teachings, or if they do they choose not to follow them. Ask people to tick off how many of the 5 precepts they actually follow.....most would be lucky to tick off 3 out of 5.

I share your views on Thai food.....I figure the reason Thais smother their food in fish oil, sugar, chillies by the spoonful, etc etc, is to mask the real taste.....
