I have visited SCB (not the branch where I opened my account) for various reasons and had to present my passport. They told me because I had changed my passport I had to go to the original branch to get my details changed.

In this day and age, doesn't the lowest bidder always win? Irrelevant if they have a good / bad track record or not.

Went to Pattaya yesterday. Stayed at a fairly large hotel. Booked and paid through TRAVELOKA by my daughter.
Only had to show my passport. No paperwork.
Signed nothing.
Checkout. Just verified the room was still okay and signed the receipt.
So much for reporting and TM30.
Is this normal considering all the hype concerning the TM30 registration?

Have not seen my particular dilemma posted before.
I always applied for and received my one year multiple entry non immigrant (type O) visa from the Thai embassy in London.
This is not now possible, so looking at going to Savannaket Thai consul and applying there.
Does anyone know if I will have any problems, as I wish to do this when my current multiple entry non immigrant visa expires.
I also have 90 day border runs stamps in my passport for the last year.
Compounding this, I have two other non immigrant visas that were issued in London for 2013 and 2016, along with some more border run stamps, pertaining to those years.
London, was never a problem before, but of course I never had back to back non immigrant visas.
Your input would be appreciated.

Got charged an extra 15GBP over and above the 4GBP transfer charge last week with HSBC, sending money from UK to Thailand. The same happened three months ago. Nowhere does it say what this charge is when you are utilising their transfer system online. These transfer requests were made online and were Pound Sterling requests.

Did Kanchanaburi / Myanmar yesterday, without any problem.

Ubonjoe, my thinking was, "out of site, out of mind."
I guess I could get my daughter to have a chat with reception first, just as a feeler.
Thanks.

I came into Thailand two months ago on a multple entry non immigrant visa. Was living in rented accomodation in Pattaya.
Now I have moved to Bangkok and am staying in my daughter's rented accomodation.
I have not approached reception, so they are unaware of my existence.
I have never filled in a TM30 this trip. Only the arrival card at Suvarnibhumi airport.
Will be doing a visa run to Cambodia next month.
Can I wait till then, then just give my new address details then? Or should I inform the reception of my existence?

Maybe borrowed it from his mate Thaksin.

I received my non immigrant multiple entry visa by post, in July, from the Thai consulate in London. No financial records were required.
Used to use Hull and Liverpool, by post, but this has been stopped for a couple of years. But never in over thirty years have I ever been asked for financial information. Just the marriage certificate to my Thai wife.

HSBC no problem with you living in Thailand. They will also send your new credit cards (Visa etc.,) to you by regular post. All you have to do is activate them using online banking.

Maybe safer to stay with the old farts bridge club. Might lose 5000 baht, but will not lose face (literally slashed off).
