Unfortunately years of living here = I don't trust many Thais at all, started off with an open mind that has slowly but surely been closed right down.
The first thing I learnt here is the word "borrow" has a different meaning to what most of us are used to.
Yep, even had falangs "borrow" from me, with the same outcome. - None!!!

Bamboo stick worked for me. Smacked one dog over the nose. Was not keen to attack me after that. Also light and easy to carry.

Another flawed poll.

Saw it on TV news. The dogs definitely were in distress before they jumped.

His buddy hopped it pretty nimbly.

Nothing happened. Saw it on the news last night. They shook hands at the police station, although her smile was definitely forced.

Two scenarios.
1) Maybe the Thai police are getting <deleted> off with Benz Boy and his Mum.
2) No brown envelope.
3) Both of the above.

In Australia, where I was surveying, we used set up GPS equipment. This was surrounded by a proper electrical fence to deter cattle, kangaroos etc., worked a treat.
Enough zaps to deter, but not enough to kill.
Was not expensive.
Definitely cheaper than two baby elephants.
Oops forgot. This is Thailand.

Mother in law took all the paperwork a few days after the birth. The only problem was, they would not accept a falang name for my daughter. Used the Thai name she chose, which I hate. This was in Petchabun in 1993.
