Thailand Pass To Entice More International Tourists
skorp13 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
How about self isolation and monitoring instead of being thrown into a field hospital? We're talking about vaccinated tourists where the chance of being symptomatic even if detected positive is greatly reduced. Could be another ploy to collect on all that insurance money. -
Essentially the easing of restrictions in Chonburi will allow locals a little more breathing room in terms of time and a few activities. The only tourism they will see is what they already have which is Bangkok coming down on the weekend to have cola on the beach! I think it is pretty obvious what the real agenda is for Chonburi, Pattaya and Jomtien in particular!

Calls for restaurants in Pattaya to be allowed to serve alcohol
skorp13 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
The logic - 555 - behind it is that you are safe if you have your mask off stuffing your face with food and drinking a non-alcoholic beverage than a beer or glass of wine LOL. Sure some till use it as a bar and drink until closing time but if the same social distancing is maintained at your seats what's the problem. Simply a matter of control and power -

Contact with others in the time between you took your test and boarded the plane with all the others that have the same issue. Also near airport workers and during transit where you're out of the supposed covid negative bubble. It's still probably over kill but better to err on the side if caution. It's only one night and not nearly as bad as a 7 day, or like i did a few months ago, 14 day quarantine -

Thailand ranked among the top 6 places in the world to retire
skorp13 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
A great place to retire? Used to be when it was cheap. Let's see here: you can't own land, can't vote, they tie up over $25,000 of your money at least half the year, medical insurance is very expensive as you get older and unless you're a multi millionaire you have to renew your visa every year subject to ever changing rules. -

Thailand prepares airports for quarantine-free travellers
skorp13 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It takes less than 2 minutes to do a swab test. Trust me i've done about 200 of them and i don't think the planes will be that full especially in the beginning. -
