    Yes, absolutely. Visa free entry and visa on arrival should be completely stopped except for 5 or 7 respectable countries like Japan, Singapore, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, etc. Nationals of other countries should apply for entry visa in their home country before entering Thailand.

    If you don't want to have any unexpected problems later, you should only apply for Non O-A Retirement visa at the Royal Thai Consulate in the United States. It is strongly recommended to avoid any visa agents in Thailand.
