Thais don't need to go through the 14 day scam cheme in luxury hotels as the foreigners is required.
Maybe time to put the pointing finger on returnees Thais instead of foreigners who already have been tested multiple times before arrival.

Did you even read the post? The lady on the bike with him is his wife and not his girlfried as you wrongly assumed,
Girlfriend, wife, fiancee, who care about the marital status, that is not the point why he was robbed and got a huge medical bill.
He made 2 mistakes.
1). Trying to upgrade himself from a poor individual with no savings by wearing a 2 bath gold chain in a district who is known for this kind of robberies.
2). Trying to hunt down the robber by himself instead of calling the police.

What a sad bunch on TV criticizing the victim. Maybe he haven't been here so long that he know the country to well and that robbing is nearly acceptable unless the perpetrator can be seen/ recognized and arrested and by that losing face.
Felt.
Any newbie in Pattaya who buy a 2 bath gold chain and have a Thai girlfriend should have enough brain to ask her or somebody local if it's safe to wear when riding a motorbike.
I bet his girlfriend told him already but he wouldn't listen.
He remind me of Crocodile Dundee from the photo "Nobody rob my gold and get away with it".

So you've got a PhD in victim blaming, congratulations.
Yes, if you wearing a 2 bath gold chain in times when most thais don't have work to go to it's asking to be robbed.
The police can easily catch the robber by watching video cameras in the surrounding of the robbery, if the swede are willing to pay.

When you are a poor swede living from a minimum wage pension from the government don't try to impress people around you to believe you are rich by wearing a 2 bath gold chain to prove it.
I guess he have learned his lesson the hard way and avoid his "show off" stupidity in the future.
By the way, as usual no sympathy or help from the Pattaya police without a well stuffed brown envelope.
Nothing new here, next robbery of falang please.

No surprise, the prosecution knew the burmese men was innocent from the beginning but needed scapegoats to save face regarding "Thais don't commit this kind of murders" especially not the village chief's son. Now they can just wait another 6 years and give them a royal pardon and send them back to Burma. Case closed, Thailand saved face again.

What a stupid comment. It's perfectly normal in Thai and certain other asian cultures for sons/daughters to go off to work and send money to support their family or younger siblings.
Agree, it's quite common that thai women with a rich sponsor have this kind of deal with the family. Why save the money in the bank when the sponsor pouring money at her?

If you call brown envelope "flaws" well yes there was many big flaws in this case.

Another brit trash expat without money to extort traffic police, maybe a couple of f... you comments helped him to get busted.
The way he dresses at the picture is also a provocation to get pulled over and arrested by BIB.
It won't hurt to wear a T-shirt when you are out having a few drinks.
Dress nicely, be polite and admit your fault when you are causing an accident during DUI (driving under influence) and pay the police what they ask for without any argue.

Governor Yuthasak Supasorn said TAT would issue special cards to expats to show at accommodations and attractions so they can avail of discounted prices.
Are this guy for real? I have never in my 30 years in Thailand heard of any kind of discount to foreigners, quite the opposite.
All tourist attractions in Thailand have one price for Thais 50-100 bath and one price for foreigners 500-1000 bath, depends if it is national parks or amusement parks.
-
Are expats without any income allowed to spend from the 800.000 bath on our savings account or do we need to get money from somewhere else to go on his trip?
Maybe TOT can hand out a loan with low interest rate?
To me this promotion sounds like another scam against expats orchestrated by the government.

Another foreigner who think he is immortal, doesn't matter how many warnings they get from friends or others, they have to learn the hard way.
If he survives at least he can forget about being "super fit" for a long time, worst case scenario wheelchair for life.

Something fishy about this news.
Please come back to Thailand so we can arrest you and lock you up for life?

The woman is absolutely at fault. She should not have been in the road.... period. There is almost no way that the driver could have seen them. I have sometimes whacked stationary motor biles with my pick up when reversing because I can't see them. Release the driver, arrest the mother and declare her unfit to be a parent.
And you obviously don't have a driver's license!
"Rule 109: NEVER REVERSE your vehicle unless you are sure that there are no children or pedestrians or anything in the way in the blind area behind your vehicle, that is, the part of the road, which you cannot see from the driving seat."

Driver and the woman were both at fault.
Driver for reversing when he could not see behind him.
Woman for stupidly taking the child onto the road without looking.
According to traffic rules it was the drivers fault:
Rule 109: NEVER REVERSE your vehicle unless you are sure that there are no children or pedestrians or anything in the way in the area behind your vehicle, that is, the part of the road, which you cannot see from the driving seat.
This being said, the woman was stupid to drag the child with her out in the road without first watch to left and right (like we learn at school in developed countries)
-
Notice how the woman lift up the child after being knocked over by the pickup car and then run straight out in the street without watching out for other vehicles.
Nothing surprise me in this video, just another day in LOS were nobody care about safety.

He also expressed concern over the high-risk behavior of people frequenting night entertainment venues, warning them to exercise extra caution.
He should be humble and ask for forgiveness by inviting army soldiers from Egypt without any quarantine instead of blaming people frequenting night entertainment venues.
But again, that's what he always does when he messes up, blaming somebody else.

Nearly 8 years and still nothing. If only Thailand had someone like Batman. Sorry, I've been watching too many movies. If only they had some strong and commanding figure. An army type maybe. Someone who could come in, have complete power and who would vow to end corruption and reform the police. A man who could return happiness to the people.
Oh, well. Until someone like that comes along, the corruption and injustice will continue to get worse and unabated, I guess.
Keep on dreaming man, you are talking about "The Land of Brown Envelopes".

Why would any man want to live with a woman who have no intention to share anything he have given her after believing she was an honest person.
Another lesson to foreigners entering Thailand and leave their brain at the airport!

No mercy! Death sentence handed down to EIGHT Thais despite admissions of guilt

Eight people less to spread a drug who make the addict crazy after a short period of use.
Well done to the justice system, hope all drug dealers learn something from this sentence.
