  1. Antigen test on arrival at the airport should take 5-10 minutes. Eliminating the 1 night expensive quarantine hotel for test results should improve the tourism.
  2. This police colonel "Joe Ferrari " will be replaced with another "joe ferrari". I think he stepped on too many toes from higher up for other reasons. Plenty of other colonels willing to take his position for the right price and play the game without messing with the system and his bosses.
  3. Thaifriendly, Thaicupid, Tinder, etc. Many women from bars, freelancers, escort services have accounts with all of them to increase their chances of "getting foreigners". Lots of whackos, prostitutes and general women looking for "rich foreigner". You may be middle age, old age, unattractive men but money plays big role. https://mojomatt.me/thai-dating-sites-apps/ And how one lonely middle age Youtuber who hooked up with his current Thai woman.
  4. Many international airports have PCR covid testing sites for US$90 to $275. Depending on the time required, 24+ hours to 1 hours and the company/clinic. https://www.flysfo.com/travel-well/covid-19-testing
  5. Eliminate the 1 night quarantine at ASQ hotel and replace it with rapid PCR test at the airport. If done right this can be done in 15-30 minutes. This is doable and acceptable for both Thai government and foreigners/travelers/tourists. It should help with tourism.
  6. Yap, China impose 2-3 week quarantine upon return to China. I don't think Chinese are willing to take 1 week vacation in Thailand and take 2/3 weeks in quarantine upon return at additional expense that costs more then what they paid in 1 week in Thailand.
  7. Exactly, Thai Immigration makes 1900 baht every 2 months plus money foreigners spend on rent, food, clothing, entertainment, etc etc. Very few tourists are going to Thailand under current Thai requirements. Retirement extension is 1900 baht per year but Covid extension is 1900 baht x 6= 11,400 baht per year.
  8. Thailand loves to wear military/police uniforms including civil servants. Uniforms for civil servants are similar but not same as military or police. So governors, mayors, teachers, etc, etc wears civil servant uniforms for show of power and respect. TIT.
  9. From LA Thai Consulate requires round trip flight confirmation. https://thaiconsulatela.org/en/visa-exemption/
  10. Go for it. You also forgetting benefits including medical and dental insurance for life including fedblue that covers Thailand.
