They're just across the street from my place and yes I've been there several times and I'm speaking from personal experience and what I've observed.
I have not been there in a couple or three years, but think your comment on post # 30 is perhaps right on, Mole ...
I used to take photos of the dogs and cats, but the many hours spent were never appreciated and she wanted imagine sizes that were too odd to figure out on a computer ... ... so I gave up.... This was for exporting the better animals off to Europe etc.
I no longer have any images of either centres,.... and I am not heading out to get more! John1 ....
I will say, that the vet and other volunteers, do a good job with what they have.... Management attitude needs to change to get more community help !
I used to make generous donations, but now, would rather use a regular vet, which I do on occasion. ...
Ok Jimmy you know me I always want photo's.
Now will put MOLE on the spot he lives across the road has a camera and has put Samui dog rescue down maybe he would be so kind to take some phot's and show what the problem's they have then we will appreciate if they are doing a good or bad job.

I think before any more comments regarding the Dog and Cat Rescue Centre are made, perhaps head to Thaling Ngam or Chawang place, and take a look .... obviously not many people have been out to these places to look and see what is done there, or seen the amount of animals in care with the amount of room they have ... some of the comments are getting a bit silly! .... IMO....
They are not released in to the streets after being treated...
Jimmy a picture says a thousand word's.

Dive Supply (300m short of Bkk Samui Hospital on the other side coming from Chaweng Post Office) have neoprene 'carpet slippers' with sturdy soles to minimize the chances of swimmers stubbing their toes or stepping on anything that hurts.
HTH
Yeah i always wear such kind of shoes after 2011.
.
Never found out what happened to me, but it felt like someone shot me with a speargun or drove a knife through my foot, blood pumped out from the side of my foot, and the next 4 hours or so at the hospital it felt like
my lower leg was in flames.
The day after my foot started to swell and i got red markings on numerous places of my foot.
Would be nice to know what actually happened.
Might be a little bit off topic, but hopefully still suits in this thread.
Don't want to end up like this one more time.
You could have stood on a stone fish they are here. A friend stood on one in Darwin Australia I think about 6 spine's went in it nearly killed him his whole leg was swollen 3 times normal size.

It's sad thing about all this, for some of the local businesses, they are having problems getting some parts/ stuff shipped from BKK... so unable to do their work or provide service... (my computer shop guy a case in point) .....
Tell me about it the land office people could be losing customers and millions or 100's millions of baht
People can't but or transfer cars
Yet the Thais who want to make the sell go down to the offices and get pissed off then join the protests
We are only hurting ourselves
I don't yingluck or her brother really give a toss from their luxury houses, condos and personal servants, private jets
I bet they are laughing their heads off
That saying give someone a piece of string eventually they shall hang themselves

The labour office is closed, apparently 'until further notice'. Not so great for people that have to renew their work permit right now.
I miss read that, I thought it was the Labour ward at the hospital then that would be a problem.

I have a prerunner, 2007. EVERY YEAR I have had to change the air blower. Cost is about 1300 baht. It is directly behind your glove compartment. 3 large screws, the plug and and it falls out. Easy to install.
No idea why they go so fast.
It"s a toyota

there were to many dogs when i first came here 19 years ago but i still came here to live. To many dogs in Phuket and Pattaya. Udon no stray dogs, must be government policy or some thing. Just part of life we have to live with in LOS. i have had hundreds of dogs neutered at my own expense, nobody ever wants to give a baht towards costs. Thais dont see it as a problem. So reap what we sow and wake up warm and happy every day as farangs in doggy world.
Yes but in thailand it is not a problem until it becomes a problem
All strayed should be neutered problem is that it has been left to charities to do it which is not far to blame dog rescue as they can only do so much
Then I suppose the dogs would have to be tagged somehow so one know which ones have been neutered
Plus rabies jabs
Or just kill them
Maybe a face book site where people can put photos of strays and locations so people know where to go and which dogs to aim for if they decide to do Anyhting
I don't know how to tag then to show what jabs they have had already
When Dog Rescue neuter's a dog or cat they tattoo inside the ear flap.

Go to Gps maps in Thailand forum a lot of info there or spend 4,000bt for garmin unit with Thai map installed, can use when you go back to your home country so money not wasted.
No don’t buy the 4,000 thb Garmin. The map is in Thai only. English imput and voice availible but all POI’s are in Thai only, and the map itself is Thai only. This is not like the older unit I've owned for the last five years which has the english map and POI’s…
Good maps are availible at the app store. “Navagator” is a stand alone GPS that has a free Thai map that’s good and in English.
Of course the google maps are also good if you have internet connection.
Not true; Available from distributor in English. Mr Art at Gadgetrend Bkk. Have it on mine a Nuvi I use as a spare.

Not looking too good, like I said, recovery is subjective, sad news in deed...
Michael Schumacher 'may remain in permanent vegetative state for rest of his life'http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/michael-schumacher-news-may-remain-3058072
Shit I hope the best for him, this is really bad news.

after long time we got the engine refurbished, valveseats got drilled, valves changed, oil change other things, everything solved 8900, including aircon blower , repair.
That sounds like a very cheap deal, where did you get the work done?
Was it a machine shop that specialise in engine rebuilds?
Local shop, in Baan bansuan, chonburi province, dirty little place, but they did a good job, my wifes cousin recommended this place as he had experience with them, their shop is not a place you would stop and ask on your own, though :-)
the engine block was send to a specialized shop, but where i dont know.
a shop 500m from there quoted us 14.000
What was wrong with the block ?
Most likely like you and me just a chip off the old block.

Daffy, be a man. Take control of the navi, reset it and see if it works.
Then mosy on down to the local gold shop, to make amends.
Er! Can I be half a man and leave the Nav as it is ? Then I won't get the blame if we get lost
And will save a trip to the gold shop
Well you started the OP asking for help what have you done about it as some advise has been offered that might help?

I've got a solution.. Move back to England! If not,
xxxxxmoaning!! Personally I commend these so called do-gooders from these animal charity's that only do it to make themselves feel better! They do what they can do with the resources and funds available. But so long as your ok jack, xxxxxxxeveryone else eh!Just the kind of pathetic comment I was expecting... there is always someone with the 'move back to England' response. Wonder if you will feel the same after you hit a dog on your bike and end up in hospital? If you have nothing to constructive or worthwhile to add to the conversation, go back to sitting outside 7/11 with a Chang eh. Jeez... sounds like the moaning is coming from you not me Have a lovely day.
You too! Be careful out there...
Well thank you for your consideration... and I am ALWAYS careful 'out there'... too many toss*rs about, wouldn't you agree? Now then... do you actually have anything constructive to add to the topic?
What the F with you are you just trying to stir people up if they don't have your solution. This is a open forum. A smiley doesn't cut it.

Instead of fixing the gear, seems like Ford is trying to sell more cars through aggressive promotions. They will have tp face the customers later and I hope the aftersales can cope.
Sent from my GT-I9195 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Anything more than 3 yrs old is out of warranty already. I imagine a dry clutch gearbox is not cheap. I can see some unhappy customers around the corner. At least honda had the good sense to chuck the cvt from the old city when is showed significant problems.
The new Honda city has CVT.

I had mine done at BPH, cost about B12,500, surprisingly cheap for BPH. It was on special, but I think they usually have the special. Totally professional, satisfactory in every way. Went home the same day. Got the DVD for a few baht more, too.
Thanks for that info. That sound like a Great price and that hospital in very close to my condo. Was this done recently ??? Did that price include the doctors fees or other fees ?
Go to BH there price's are on the web site. or can e-mail them they will reply with in a day.

1st question why do you have a dog do you plan on staying for the next 10 years of the dogs life span or turn it loose when you leave?n the
As for disposing of dogs read up on the Buddhist religion or go to the temple and ask them to kill some of the poor dogs they feed every day and wait for a reply just
be ready to get on your bike.
On the question about the Samui dog rescue have you called them and asked why they do what they do if not do so.
Seem's like you just came on here for a bitch.

I bumped in to the manager of TOT earlier in Lamai, he told me they will open again on Monday.
When they turn up Monday dismiss or sack the lot.

ok thanks! now i just have to head to Nathon Sent from my GT-I9100 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Just a thought
Get there early (8 - 9 am) and dress smart - long trousers and long sleeves if you are male. Cover your shoulders and longish skirt/dress if female.(Government office!)
Sorry if this is obvious.
Where you from who wears a long sleeve shirt to go to a government office. You need to say trouser's and a shirt not a singlet like the pom's or aussies like to wear.

And they also take the visa aspect very seriously.
Most schools in Samui do have a reputation to protect and do take the visa thing seriously.
If you starting with the written aspect of the language first, be prepared to sit in Nathon immigration for an hour writting in Thai next you go for an upgrade.
Since I started with the speaking aspect, I had to do 30 minutes of smacking my lips in Thai in front of "Teh Man".
Though I do have to admit that he was kind enough to correct me a few times on mistakes I made.
His last words, "Next time you come, you speak more!"
No wonder it takes so long for people to lodge there 90 day report at immigration with all you Thai language learner's going in smacking your lip's.

Obviously do a visual inspection, something could have come loose, shake all the front suspension with your hand.
Thanks, I did that and nothing appears loose.
Looking at your attached photo the rubber at top seem's out of position maybe something broken you can't see. Get it up on a hoist at a shop and should spot the problem right away.
Too many dogs on Samui

I think looking at there web site site and what they have achieved they are going a good job. As for member's helping yes a single member can do but not on the scale of this organization. What is your idea on how member's can help if there is really a problem I don't see it where I live.
