Gonna be a tough game even though Everton have a few injuries they are a team on the up. Still unbeaten.

Seeing Zabaletta in the starting team concerns me. As much as I admire him for many qualities I do feel He’s a weak link nowadays.

    We will see.......

Congrats on the win. A tough place to claim 3 points for any team and a sign of more to come from you lot I think. Fair play

Don't really give a hoot. We had him, he left. End of. The club is much bigger than a single player and the train is still running

You think? Listen, Pep is the pinnacle of city and there is no plan after him and it's common knowledge he is in it for the money as that is what has kept him there. Girona being the key I think? Family ties etc?

All of that team has been brought and I'm talking about boardroom team. You could say the new soul of city but it has no semblance of locals or time served supporters and we all know that's a big pull for bareback those values and yet you have none. But a great PR stunt with deirdre and Betty yesterday.

Don't know if it was the right decision or not Ronnie. Only he will know that. All I know is that he was and still is really well thought of at City. Honest and a hard worker for the team. I haven't got a bad word about him, so good luck to him

Well the deal was sweet but it was the assurance of playing time that sealed it. Weird how city could not give such assurances when in his last season he was a key player playing 45 games. Maybe it was due to the known change in management that prompted the lack of assurance.

He's stepped up has he? Id argue he stepped down to try to become  a first 11 regular because  he wasnt good enough at City. That was the real reason he moved on.

Has he achieved  it. Well he didn't  hold down the central midfield  position he wanted and had to play at left back for a chunk of time - exactly as at City where he wanted to be central midfield  but become a utility winger.

He probably just thought what every regular joe thinks about city. Flashin the pan, Blackburn rovers on crack no real history but a decent airline

Put your bias to one side. How has he stepped up?

Rest of your post i agree with. Be interested to see does he resume his cricket after retiring  from football.

Well he is the VC of our lads and with Hendo not playing that makes him the captain. Footballers are not solely playing for silverware they are like any ambitious employee and seek recognition and if the lad plays an average of 40 games a season and does not feel valued. I would say that his decision was a good one. To compare him to Delph is an insult. They both played for villa. It ends there.

Looks like in the 3 seasons past for liverpool  compared to his last 3 seasons  at City, he played 132 times for liverpool  vs city 120 games so he barely played more games. By joining Liverpool i believe he's  won nothing. Had he stayed at City he would had use of a can of brasso. So only Milner can answer if the move was a good or a bad decision.

Gosh all those "legends" at man city who lost more games than they won must be turning in their graves with comments like that. But as per the recent documentary it is all good as man city fans who are 10 years old have something to be really proud of now.

We didn't let him go. He wanted to leave, which is fair enough and we never give him grief when he comes back

Fancied his chances and took a step up. Fair play to the lad. Salt of the earth chap likes fresh vegetables not GM modified stuff obviously.  A real yorkshire man you could say. I bet he don't like microwaved puds either.

  8. Just now, Bredbury Blue said:

^Yep, City fans wanted him to stay, our management wanted him to stay, but he wasn't good to get one our midfield position so he choice to leave. For us, he was a Delph or Zinchenko.

That's really respectfull that. Milner plays 203 games in 5 seasons and gets compared to Delph with less than 70 in 3.

40 games a season is pretty solid average and is normally considered first team player. As in 1st 11.

His record since departing to greener grass has been top class and I'm pleased we nicked him and he looks like he is absolutely loving it

Milner definitely doesn't go under the radar of the fans of the club he plays/played for. Gives 100% every game. Chapeau!

He was let go way too early by your litter, 2-3 more seasons at the very top in him yet.

At the age of 20 Harry Kane had only played one premier league game.  Make of that what you will.

That aside, throughout his managerial career Mourinho has opted for experienced proven players in their prime, a today manager if you will that is going for immediate success.  He's not the guy thats going to build a side from the youth academy.  Nothing wrong with that, just the way it is.

Yh thanks that's painstakingly stating the obvious but in rashford case he served his apprenticeship so to speak and has been relied upon in big games by jose already so he should have more trust in him and give him more minutes in his natural position.

Vorm made a string of decent saves too so while he messed up it wasn't his fault solely that we lost.

Well we shall never know but perhaps if correct and lloris is just being kept out the firing line for safe measure, could his actions have been a contribution. If the wheels fall off for tottenham it will surely be this season unless they make January reinforcements a priority. Too many competitions and little cover at present. They had a couple of iffy moments last year juggling the comps and you were firing on all cylinders. Feel sorry for the manager myself. He worked a miracle last year and it seems to have backfired on him.

Yes Lamela looked keen when he came on....another small positive for us.

Sometimes teams need a leader to emerge and I don't see that for us right now....mind you at Liverpool yours is standing on the touchline lol.

Leaders throughout the spine of the team for us. Milner is just brilliant too. A real machine of a player.

If Chelsea keep up their form its looking like a titanic battle for fourth with a number of clubs in contention....but a long way to go yet and we will undoubtedly beat many of the teams around us.

A defeat to Liverpool or City is rather expected since you have both spent big and spent wisely....unlike some in Manchester.

Everton and wolves will be closing the gap too I reckon. And Watford look good too. Spurs need a massive wake up call the teams dead on its feet the lack of transfer activity will not go unnoticed by the players and as we are seeing, it only takes a couple of under performing 1st teamers for the wheels to come off. Really need lamela and moura to come real good.

I thought our winning of the ball in midfield was a positive but giving the ball away so cheaply with high balls to Kane with no one running on to the knock downs is pointless.

Gave it away too cheaply and failed to cause problems for their defence is the issue and one we need to address quickly be it with our current squad or investing in better players.

Would Delli Alli or Son earlier in the game have made a difference? Certainly Dier/Son to start might have.

Maybe this is the way it's gotta be until January.  Might get the board to back the team with a bit of cash. 50m. Worth dreaming about. 3 wins and 2 losses. That type of return will might get Thursday night footy back where it belongs.

Think over the past 12 years on this forum ive shown I'm  more than willing to debate most football matters. But debating with Spurs posters, well thats a bit difficult as Scottish Prawn Sandwich and You Dont Want To Do That have me on ignore. Hopelessly out of my depth...titter...and thats from the man who probably still subscribes to Shoot for his knowledge.

We've won three and lost two....I'm still not getting the alarm bells as we've not been terrible.

Could we use 170m quid worth of new players? You'll have to ask your chairman cos ours isn't spending that kind of cash on the team.

Tasty ain't it. 40m players unused as yet. The oxe to come back. Lallana to maybe get back in the mix. Squads looking very strong.

Hardly true....we know he needs a rest...in fact if I was the manager I'd be looking at the next week long break and flying them all to the Caribbean for a long rest with only an hour of five a side a day.

We know our players have played too much football....in some ways more than the other teams in the Premiership and its no thanks to Southgate and the England set up as well.

Injuries for all teams will be high I believe this season....what the answer is I can't see as the demands just grow and grow whilst the quality of football diminishes as a result.

Weird how you coming out with this now. Sounds a bit like an excuse. And if you know that surely your board does and you ain't signed a sausage and on top of that you ain't offloaded Jack shat. Some almighty errors to be honest. Things have stalled for Spurs this year.

We have no woes jinglejangles....only hope as ever.

You of course have the fear of one day falling back to your rightful place.

No Spurs fan has an opinion on kanes situation of late. Guys just not looking the beast he was. Coming back too soon last season has done him.

I can think of a team that won the first ten and everyone said the Premier was theirs...then it went tits up.

I can think of a team who squandered there title attempt as a result of a very bad goalkeeper who lasted a season.
