This is very good. Have a strict uniform code. Be proude of your work and your uniform. Next, raise the salary for the police on the streets. So they can have a good living, without teabagging.

police in thailand arnt worth a wank,in fact i use the term "police" objectively, totally corrupt, useless institution thats main aim is making money not law and order, treat foreigners like walking ATM,s and dont care much more for their own people either JOKE
You have to go with the flow. You are not a citisen of thailand. Dont brake the law. Simple. Some police pin you for something you did not do. Stay calm. Bring it to head office. Dont argue. Same everywhere. You dont argue with the grunt police in the street. Same USA, same England and Norway... do as your thold. If you are innocent, make a complaint at the office. Comming 10 years in Thailand. I had my controversy, my problems with police and thais. But keeping my calm and my with, i live through it.
I am a guest in this country and i am trying not to forget that.

If you are an expat, stop beeing a foreinger. Abbay the laws. Make friends with the thai population. Act like you wod in your one home country. Show respect. Join your neighbors, thai and farang. Be a source. Comunicate. And your life will be a lot easier.
Do it stepp by stepp. Rome was not build in a day. And yeah i know, Rome faultered, but not in a day.

Good to hear. The police are doing the job, and do it good. Do not underestimate the police in Thailand, not everyone is in it for the tea.

I can feel the frustration, but I would not do that. Thailand is not civilizised. That is asking for hospitalization. Youst walk away.

The Thai Rubber Authority are stock piling the rubber, while they wait for increasing prices. They buy cheap and want to make a proffit. Now is the high season in the north east. What we make now, in money. Is going to last through the stop season. Now the stock of rubber is so high, becorse Thai Rubber Authority dont sell. Meaning prices are falling, in Thailand. So once again, the government and the government owned companies are steeling from the farmers. In India there is a lack for rubber. China had 2 factories that wanted to buy over 300.000 ton of rubber from Thailand. India wanted 150.000 ton. What happend with that? It was big news, and than everything whent quiet. It is clearly the incompetent agricultural department who is to blame. It was the government who back in the days told the farmers that rubber was the future. Now they just sit on their hands and wont take resposebility. Just thinking about making money for them self. Not for the farmers, not for the department but for their private pockets.

Isaan is ok. Nice and quiet. Not much happening. We are living in Sri Songkhram. About 65 km from the nearest bigger city, Nakhon Phanom and Sakhon Nakon. Been living here for 8 years now. Working the land with my whife and brother in law. Somethimes i feel the urge for some
Civilisation. Happens once a year. Than i pack a bag, head for the airport and take a flight to Bangkok. Maybee go to Pattaya or Cha-Am for a week. But as always, after 3 days i just wanna go home. Home to the good old country life. F*** civilisation and noise, tourists, angry stressed people. Give mee Isaan lifestyle, good for body and soul??

The fee for the Lao visa on arrival varies by nationality. You can save some money if you have US dollars to pay for it. In baht it is 1500 baht.

On to the afterlife.

I have ever known a beer that dont like honey. Just ask Winnie the Pooh. But a handful of gras and a patt on the head, even Winnie would go mad.
Quot from Winnie.
It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?”

I know a fellow Farang who was disturbed by the morning announcements blasting from the village speakers which were aimed directly at his bedroom. He asked the chief if they could re-position the speakers a bit. He received several death threats for daring to complain.
I did that in Ban Patilop and they did remove the speaker. No body ever threatens me. Maybe becourse im Norwegian (Viking). Or maybe becourse i speak my mind in a good and zivil mather.5555555
