  1. Does immigration have a break next week for Chinese new-year? is it just for the 29th?
  2. Looking into this, the wording reads as it won't be processed until paid which requires cash and it's 10-15 Working Days (Not Days).
  3. These Chinese guys find a way every time. I normally show up early, I'm just hoping this print out is good the website spat out incorrect passport dates with the year twice.
  4. website is open now, note that it doesn't email so print the page. i was able to get in early. Tuesday.
  5. Well looks like I have an extended stay at homebar this week.
  6. I did mine online. Printed the form and had some passport photos done sent by mail. Also the old passport doesn't expire until 30 days after the new one is sent. I needed to transfer my stamps, immigration also stamped my old passport with a reference to the new one.
  7. Is the KR.22 different? I haven't updated mine in at least 2 years, accepted every time at udon.
  8. Does anyone know the pickup times for visa's now at savannakhet ? There is allot less people now, i arrived late 10:30am and could walk straight though.
  9. I want to add some facts. I have been going to Savanakhet for the last 7 years. 1800baht entry, I paid 1400baht not so long ago. I'm Australian it use to be 32-33usd. Immigration didn't stamp my wife's passport, despite giving it to them. This is partly my fault but they also normally check before exit as well. I showed up at 10am gates were closed, immigration requested a bribe 200baht, happy with that considering how long the line was. I was 198, the line was huge. Going back to Thailand we were dragged to the head honcho office for no stamp. 3,000 baht, I talked him down.
  10. Completed a visa run to savanakhet. Cost for Laos VOA is $40 USD or 1500baht so it was slightly cheaper paying in thb. I'm Aussie which is normally cheaper (32usd) but was charged 40. They charged everyone a stamp fee 100baht each. Consulate had no line up, straight though to the window and out in 5mins. Agoda was having a fit when we booked our hotel rooms, 700baht which is double normal rate at Avalon 2 counter.
  11. One of my friends (foreigner) is leaving soon with his Thai child, however he hasn't spoken to the mother in years will there be any issues leaving with just him with nothing signed? He has his ID card, and will be trying to get a passport this week.
  12. I'll be making the run early October. Looks like not much has changed from previous years.
  13. Thanks for posting this, I'm thinking of doing the same this time. Also from past experience they use to accept a foreign marriage certificate without translation or stamps. This may not be the case anymore.. Has Lao visa entry price changed ? It use to be 32usd (paid in USD) for me being an Aussie. Does the consolate still do visa processing only a few days a week and pickup the next day ? Monday, Wednesday, Thursday pickup was the days in-between.
