  1. That's a great idea!! When he goes to work, we can change the locks and remove his stuff from the house. Thank you!
  2. She said the Thai police won't get involved cause they class it as a family matter. They stay out of things like this. It's not like how it is in how home country.
  3. The son has no criminal history or history of violence at all. It's a real step to commit violence let alone pull a trigger. I understand Thailand is run by the mafia but this is back in the village. This is the most stupid thing I've ever read. It's the mother's house not the son's house! The younger son wants to come home to remove him from the house too. I was thinking about going to a local Muay Thai gym and hiring some Thai muscle to have him removed cause I know Farangs have no rights when it comes to the Thai police. The more witnesser the better where we have support from other family members in the village too. I like to take control in matters like this and not be in the side line like a pussy. We are in Australia at the moment where my Thai girlfriend has told him to leave 2 months ago when he move back home but he hasn't cause he knows we aren't in the country. The other option is we can move back into the house where my Thai girlfriend will be yelling at him all day long like she does hence in the end, he will move out. He doesn't usually stay for long for Songkran cause of my Thai girlfriend yelling in rage at him. He feels intimated around me hence he will feel even more uncomfortable in the house with us.
  4. I've been with my Thai girlfriend for over 5 years now. The youngest son is an angel while the older son (27 years old) is a pain in the ass. My Thai girlfriend fights with him all the time. He use to live in Bangkok but has moved back home to Kalasin and causing problems. My Thai girlfriend wants him kick out of the house. My question is, if it becomes physically with me and him, will I get into trouble with the police? I hear the police won't get involved in removing him from my Thai girlfriend's house (it's a family matter) so what will happen if I physically remove him from the house? I have a martial art background and he is tiny to the size of me. We will be flying back to Thailand soon.
  5. My Thai girlfriend has been going through hell with her son. Communication had broken down where I'm very good at sorting out problems with people and want to talk to him to help resolve things. Where can I hired a Thai person that speaks English well in Kalasin?
  6. There is no Grab Food or Grab Taxi on Koh Chang. https://www.grab.com/th/en/locations/
  7. I'm wondering if it's OK to overstay by 2 days? Would they refuse me a Tourist Visa in future? I've been to Thailand many times where I have overstayed the first time by 3 days cause I had food poisoning 10 years ago. The second time was last year due to catching covid so I overstay for 1 week. If I do it again for 2 days...
  8. It's now 2023 where i'm wondering if Koh Chang has Grab Taxi or Grab Food?
  9. I went to 5 banks in different parts of Thailand. All rejected. I gave up and had my Thai girlfriend open an account in her name with a bank she isn't with. Was so easy. I use Transferwise to send money and it's great I can use Shopee too. I'm sure everyone reading this has a close friend in Thailand.
  10. This is a joke right? You have been offensive in most of your posts and I just ignored it until recently. I dislike using Thaivisa cause there is always people like yourself trying to pick fights. Calling me naive before.... lol!!! Everyone that starts a thread is naive and asking for advise like myself today. I thank you and everyone for the help today! The odds are still very very slim to be asked for a return ticket and for them to be able to check other airlines. I did a web search and it seems like no one can be 100% sure if they can check other airlines or not. Do you know a corporation sharing information to another corporation that isn't apart of their corporation? My jestar points didn't go onto my Qantas frequent flyer card where Qantas was unable to verify that I did fly with their sister company Jestar last year. I had to send all this evidence from Jetstar to Qantas that i did book a flight with Jetstar and boarded. They said they can't see any information on Jetstar cause it's not apart of Qantas. I called up many times and spoke to managers where it took 3 months in total to get my Qantas frequent flyer points. In conclusion, the odds are very very slim for them to ask and then verify your return ticket with another airline. I would say there must be an error with the system hence they would have to call the airline to verify which could take over an hour. By law in Australia, they cant call another business and verify your information, only you can do that. The worst case possibly, I'll just buy a return flight where changing the date is usually free with my airline.
  11. Worst case, I'll edit a flight email, send it to my backup email address. Edit it (date and flight) and send it back to my main email address. They never check if it's real or not cause of the amount of people waiting in queue. They just want to see some kind of paperwork. I also remember hearing about this in the past where you can get flight templates. Easy to edit and change in Word.
  12. I've nearly always purchased a Tourist Visa. Ask me anything about a Tourist Visa and I will know. I don't have much of a clue about 'Visa on Arrival.' It's changes many times due to Covid where different websites say different things. From memory, in the past you could NEVER get an extension on a 'Visa on Arrival.' Tourist Visa rules usually stay the same while VOA rules change all the time.
  13. Thanks for your feedback guys. I've been flying for over 20 years and very rarely purchased a return flight. I've been to Thailand at least 20 times where not once I purchased a return ticket. The other week, Jetstar did charge me for carry on luggage the crooks. I've never been charged ($65) with carry on luggage before but I hear Jetstar does it domestic after reading reviews online. Virgin never does hence I will never fly with Jetstar within Australia again. Or is this a new thing from 2023 where you need a return flight? I did fly to Thailand at the end of last year with Jetstar on a 1 way ticket. The other 90% of the time I had a tourist visa when I took a flight to Thailand. This is the first time in ages I'm going to be using 'visa on arrival.' Do you need a return ticket for 'visa on arrival,' but not a 'tourist visa.' ?
  14. Hi, I'm from Australia where I have to fly to Thailand in 2 days. I didn't have time to get a Tourist Visa but would like to stay for 30-60 days. I hear the visa on arrival has changed from 45 days to 30 days but am I able to extend it for another 7-30 days while I'm in Thailand. If so, what's the cost?
  15. Thank you. We did fly to the Thai Embassy to get the fingerprints done early last week. They told us, we had to roll our finger which we couldn't get it right after 30 minutes. He then advise us that we can get digital fingerprints done at the police station. At a Australian police station, i called the Thai Embassy to make sure digital fingerprints are accepted, where I spoke to someone else and they said yes. We called the Thai Police Check in Thailand to make sure our paperwork was correct after leaving the Australian Police station. They advise us they do not accept digital fingerprints and that you only need to press your finger on the paper, no need to roll it. We went back to the Thai Embassy the next day but they were closed. We had to fly back to Melbouren that same day. We called the Thai Embassy, we weren't happy that I had to spend nearly $2000 to get this done where they gave us wrong instructions. They also don't accept paper work by another country for fingerprints, it has to be the Thai forms which are in Thai where the Austrlian police will only do fingerprints with Australian forms. They said they will called the Thai Police Check office in Thailand to verify. 3 business days later they called back saying they only accept fingerprints with ink and don't accept digital fingerprints. I was told at the Thai Embassy in Sydney that we can fly to Thailand can get the Thai Police Check the same day. Doing a web search, different websites says different timeframes (7-30 days) but none of them say same day ???? The last thing Australian Immigration needs are Thai police checks where the paper work is over 50 pages of information we need to produce. In Australia, you only need to give your full name, passport information and you receive it via pdf within 24 hours. The whole process has been so annoying and costly where I'm telling my story so other people don't have to go through the same hell!
  16. For my Thai girlfriend's PR in Australia, we both need to get Thai Police Checks. We are told it will take just over a month to receive by post so we are flying to Thailand next week. If we go to the Thai Police Check office in Bangkok, how long does it take? I tried to call them but they rarely pick up the phone. Australian Immigration needs to know cause we have a timeframe.
  17. My TV died. Is there any websites where I can buy a cheap second hand TV? I'm looking for a good brand such as Samsung, 55 inch.
