I would say would have been Indo Brazil, the long legs say Indo Brazil

The "longer legs" is a spot on observation, but it is not Indo Brazil, they were X out from the Zebu. The Zebu that originated in India/Southeast Asia is generally the X out species in Thailand. The Brahman is also originally a Zebu bred out species.

A Zebu X after X with any other blood lines (not directly related like Brahman) still have the hump although it gets less defined. The more defined the hump, the closer you are to the original blood line.

    Worth 40K?

To my view, that cow has been X out with subspecies and also Brahman as Zebu have smaller ears and Brahman droopy ears.

If she is a first calf heifer then she is probably worth way less. If she is a second+ calf cow and carrying from a proper Zebu/Brahman bull then 30K - 35K sounds fairly reasonable to me.

I would  prefer a return to what used to be reasonably  standard pattern

I agree to that. Rain now is 2 months too late to do any good on the rice farms in lower Isaan. If it was not flooded after the initial typhoon, it's worth less than grass now. That said, if I can get my ponds full I recon I'm gonna stock it with mudfish.

    1st mistake. Don't harbor criminals.

2nd mistake. Don't respect anyone who is involved with criminal activity.

3rd mistake. Don't fall for "police" scare tactics, let them take you in and process you, chances is you would not even be charged.

Totally agree they just give unwary pedestrians a false sense of security.

The false sense of security for the unwary. My wife forces me to never walk on a crossing, the reason she said was drivers will actually speed up just not to stop at the crossings. Rather wait for a break in the traffic and cross where and when it is safe. She is different.

Thai people have such a time consuming demeanor, until they get in a car, then they do not have a second to loose. Weird.

  5. You can on most netbook models upgrade the Ram, Hard drive, Network card and the battery. The processor, sound and graphics, usb, lan and flash memory are always integrated into the motherboard.

That said, I have found that the biggest problems are usually installations done on dodgy crated partitions, Antivirus programs and applications running in the back ground as described by KeeTua in post #5

In my own experience windows 7 runs much faster than windows 10 on older machines if you keep your computer clean and apps running to a minimal.

  6. Just an update from my side... we have had some rain every day since the typhoon's departure, even as I am writing there is rain over the horizon. Weather are cool and humidity low.

We have about 10 Rai covered with about 200mm of water and I will take the risk to blast 1st fertilizer starting tomorrow. The rest of our paddies are wet and boggy but not flooded. We have not decided on a course of action and like to see what the weather does in the next week. There are also 2 pumps in the river pushing water via the channel up steam flooding from high to low so there is some hope.

The "Chi" river border between Surin and Buriram empty 15th Sept. and flowing strong on 19 Sept.

  7. Here in lower Isaan - Krasang, we plant as early as June, 1st fertilizer in September, 2nd fertilizer in October and Harvest in December.

I saw some guys going out with 1st fertilizer this morning. The typhoon did flood some paddies but it is marginal. It is late in the season to expect enough rain to sustain a flooded paddy.

Me and the wife have 25 Rai this year, our rice insurance will not be enough to cover any fertilizer and harvesting/transport. We will wait another until start of October if the paddies are not flooded, we will claim insurance.

Most people in my village are in the same boat. It is not looking good this year.

if you want your son then you need to wait until she contacts you, if you want to help son then I suggest you send nappies and milk each month,

I would gamble and go the other way.... start hanging out with a new girl and make it known. Blast some money on her too and post pics on facebook. If your ex see that you blasting your money on another girl she will come back with your kid in tow to get her share before she loses out.

  9. There is a 30km strip from Krasang along the Surin river border towards Satuek where rain has been less than usual. Rice crops are not doing too well. The rivers are so dry the cows wander through it.
