  1. The minister for pensions in the UK is The Rt Hon Thérèse Coffey MP

I guess that Thailand has the same equivalent post within their Government.

I wonder if this (Thai) minister realises just how much money the Thais are

losing – and have lost - over the years? Must be an eyewatering amount

that has not gone into the Thai economy.

For a UK citizen to qualify for an increase to their State Pension whilst they

are living abroad they have to be living in a country that has a

'Bilateral Agreement" - or - "Reciprocal Agreement" with the United Kingdom.

Here is a list of countries where UK citizens DO GET increases to pensions

whilst they are living outside of the United Kingdom - along side of any of

the pensioners' that live within the United Kingdom - they are:

    Austria - Belgium  - Bulgaria - Croatia - Cyprus - Czech Republic - Denmark

    Estonia - Finland - France - Germany - Greece - Hungary - Iceland - Ireland

    Italy - Latvia - Liechtenstein - Lithuania - Luxembourg - Malta - Netherlands

    Norway - Poland - Portugal - Romania - Slovakia - Slovenia - Spain - Sweden

Thailand isn't on the above list of countries because   they do not have a

"Bilateral Agreement" - or - "Reciprocal Agreement" with the United Kingdom.

According to Google - "Thailand issued almost 80,000 retirement visas in 2018, an increase of 30% from 2014, with Britons accounting for the bulk"

That right there is a lot of money in UK State Pension increases that is NOT

going into the Thai economy. The Pensions Minister in Thailand needs to

(in my humble opinion) be telling BoJo to add the United Kingdom to that

list of countries where UK citizens qualify for a Pension Increase.

I hope that I have got my point across - but Heads Up my Thai is very poor

so if my suggestion should be taken further a more qualified person would

    need to hop aboard.

  2. Siberian man found dead in Thai hotel 'after meeting ladyboy'   By Svetlana Skarbo - 14 August 2014

    https://siberiantimes.com/other/others/news/siberian-man-found-dead-in-thai-hotel-after-meeting-ladyboy/

Police say they suspect suicide of 32 year old from Yakutsk despite seven stab wounds to his

chest and gashes on his arm.

"'When we entered the room, we found him dead on the bed with a long, deep cut running from

his wrist up his forearm, as well as seven stab wounds to his chest. Later officers said they had found the ladyboy who was ruled out as a suspect, adding that police were reviewing whether

    the case might be murder"

  3. THIS "SHOULD" WORK? The top of Soi 'Water Mellon' (Soi 18? — off Soi Buakhao

near to  the 'R Con Bar') had been a major flooding problem for many years with

more-than-one failed attempt at fixing it.

When a different Thai civil engineering contractor turned up they were greeted with

derision as it would just be "more-of-the-same" however this company - (with their

team of skilled workmen) - sorted the problem out once and for all. There should be

an archive story with a photo on this on here - but I don't know how to dig it out.

If your village headman has any clout and he supplied the City Hall with these details

I feel confident that this could be the answer ... providing it is a "no-job-too-small" firm.

    Good Luck!!!

The last I heard is that he moved to Cambodia, but that is already a while ago

Yes he is a great Chiropractor, my wife had back problems for many years and has seen many doctors and one visit to Nigel solved her back problem!

Hello and Thanks for your response.

I am not the sharpest tool in the box

    where computers are concerned, John.

Hope that my reply went OK?

  5. Been receiving excellent treatment from Mr. Nigel Kelsey for a number of years.

Mr. Kelsey is a Chiropractor and he operated a clinic on Soi Bongkot in Pattaya.

On a recent visit I found his clinic locked and that his name above the door had

been painted over. A neighbour said he'd vacated - with no forwarding address!

Does anyone reading this have the details of Nigel Kelsey's whereabouts today?

Failing that if there is an (ex)-client of Nigel's reading this that could share where

they go for for their treatment (recommended) now that Nigel's clinic has closed

    — I would be eternally grateful.

Thanking you all with the greatest of anticipation.

  7. Here's my two-penny worth — (with help from Google):

    "Possession is Nine-Tenths-of the Law"

Possession is nine-tenths of the law is an expression meaning that ownership is easier to maintain if one has possession of something, or difficult to enforce if one does not. The expression is also stated as "possession is ten points of the law", which is credited as derived from the Scottish expression "possession is eleven points in the law, and they say there are but twelve."

Good Luck to you Mr. Sneer -----
