As a Canadian, I have a lot of respect for the USA. Honestly, being in my 30s, I grew up with 90s American movies, and back then, that was everything to me. I remember a time when everyone wanted to be American. But I have a hard time understanding what happened to you guys. Somewhere along the way, the train completely derailed. I get that Trump is a polarizing figure—you either love him or hate him, there's no in-between—but blaming everything on him seems way over the top. Biden gave $350 billion to Ukraine for the war. Do you realize how much money that is? Meanwhile, you have people in the US literally starving on the streets. I love Americans, especially those who travel and live abroad like us expats, because we generally have a different perspective than those who never leave home. But I don’t like how the US always tries to stick its nose in everything, everywhere. That’s why I support Trump on this issue. Why keep the war going? How many more people need to die? For what? Sorry, but I’d rather see Trump and Putin as friends, with no war, than what’s been happening over the last three years. But to be fair and honest, fk them all. Politicians are all the same they all crooked.

I love this community, and there are a lot of great people here, but why are some of y’all so angry? Is it old age creeping in? Do you feel the box coming or what? Y’all are talking about her like she’s a damn criminal just for having a Buddha tattoo. Like, WTF is wrong with you? And honestly, she handled it perfectly in her response. Some of you are just so bitter for no reason—always finding something to complain or bitch about. Is this what happens with age? Do we all just get bitter as we get older? I’m 37, and some of y’all are scaring me. Damn, I do not want to end up like that. What a miserable, ugly way to go through life.

I love her response. You can tell shes down to earth and explain her side of the story. Report her for what? wtf?!? Some people are truly mentally challenged. As far as I know, its not a crime to have a tattoo of Buddha. And she obviously love the culture since she learned how to speak, has a Thai husband, etc.. People like to stir drama out of absolutely f*cking nothing I swear. Anything to gossip, gossip, gossip.

Joe Biden’s presidency hasn’t been scandal-free, but the media coverage seems way quieter compared to Trump. Just to name a few... Hunter Biden’s dealings: Shady business in Ukraine, China, and Romania, plus tax fraud and gun charges—pardoned by his dad. Afghanistan withdrawal: A total disaster, leaving allies stranded and handing the country back to the Taliban. Classified documents: Found in his garage and old offices, but somehow not as big of a deal as Trump’s case. Border crisis: Record illegal crossings, overcrowded detention centers, and zero real solutions. Obstruction & corruption claims: Accusations of using his VP influence to benefit his family and blocking investigations. Funny how the media suddenly weren’t as obsessed with scandals when it was their guy in office. They are all crooked.

Foreigner Sparks Outrage for Doing Thai-Only Job in Phuket

The problem is that we base our opinions on assumptions rather than facts. I’m not blaming people—I’m blaming journalism. It’s important to include the context of the situation because, without it, things can be interpreted in any way. It could be someone genuinely working illegally and running an illegal business, or something as harmless as helping two clients for his wife due to some personal reason. Some people really need to calm down before speaking without having all the facts. -

A young man is in the ICU on life support, fighting for his life. I know some of you here love to get grumpy and bitter every time fundraising is mentioned, but maybe take a moment to think about the situation. This is someone’s son, brother, or friend going through something unimaginable. Theres alot of grumpy angry old people here. -
Heartbroken Irish mum honours ‘special son’ lost on Koh Tao

I believe the two girls you're referring to are actually from my hometown, Quebec. They were sisters: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/phosphine-gas-likely-cause-of-thailand-deaths-of-quebec-sisters-coroner-1.2977667 If I remember correctly, they died from exposure to a toxic pesticide used in their room. Honestly, it could be anything. One of my close friends tragically died on Koh Phangan during the Full Moon Party in 2015. It made headlines everywhere. She was stung by a box jellyfish just seconds after entering the water, and her heart stopped within 20 seconds. Who knows? Maybe he had cardiomyopathy and didn’t know it. Some people are born with heart defects and are completely unaware. It could literally be anything. -

First, let me clarify a few things, since you seem genuinely misinformed about how situations like this work. As someone experienced in digital marketing and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe, I can assure you that the cost of repatriating a body isn’t the only expense involved. For a starter, they havent received 37 000 Euro. Gofundme takes 2.9% + $0.30 per donation. When a tragedy like this happens, there are often substantial additional costs such as: Funeral arrangements Legal fees or administrative costs related to the death. Travel expenses for family members to handle affairs, both abroad and locally. Potential debt or financial hardship caused by the sudden loss of a loved one. GoFundMe campaigns are designed to offer support beyond just the immediate costs. The platform doesn’t automatically cut off donations once a goal is reached. People choose to continue donating out of compassion, and it’s up to the family how they use the funds. This isn’t about ‘asking for more money’, it’s about people showing kindness during a devastating time. Your fixation on the numbers while ignoring the context shows a lack of understanding and empathy. Instead of questioning the generosity of others, maybe take a moment to reflect on why this bothers you so much. If you don’t want to donate, that’s fine, but shaming a grieving family is neither productive nor kind. -

The irony of telling me to write something worthwhile after you wrote that festering pile of word vomit. It’s fascinating how you’ve twisted an act of compassion and generosity into something to criticize. The family has no control over how much people choose to donate, nor should they be expected to stop others from showing their support just because a goal was surpassed. If anything, it’s a testament to how much this young man was loved and respected. Perhaps instead of projecting jealousy or envy, you could focus your energy on something constructive (like painting a wall) or better yet, extend some empathy to a grieving family (not sure youre capable of that though based on your posts here). -

You really spent all that energy writing that nonsense? Try harder. Go outside paint a house or something. -

It seems you're having trouble understanding a simple sentence, so let me clarify for you: They have received 30,000 euros in donations from various supporters. What they choose to do with those funds is neither your concern nor mine. The cost of the funeral is entirely irrelevant to this discussion. -
I just pasted my thoughts regarding cannabis in general on ChatGPT since English isnt my first language but youll get a good idea of how to approach cannabis next time. Cannabis often gets unfairly lumped into a single category as "just a drug," but the reality is far more nuanced. There are different strains of cannabis—Sativa, Indica, and Hybrids—and each can have profoundly different effects on the body and mind. Understanding these differences is key to finding what works best for you, especially if you're using cannabis for therapeutic purposes or just to relax. Start Slow and Test Your Strain If you're new to cannabis or trying a new strain, don't go overboard. Even a modest amount, like 0.5g, can be overwhelming if you don’t know how it will affect you. Instead, take 3-4 small puffs, then give yourself some time to relax and analyze how you feel. This approach will help you gauge the strain's effects on your body and mind before diving in deeper. The Basics of Sativa, Indica, and Hybrid Strains Sativa: Known for its uplifting and energizing effects, Sativa strains are often associated with increased creativity, focus, and euphoria. They’re a popular choice for daytime use, but they’re not for everyone. Indica: These strains are typically relaxing and calming, often used to relieve stress, anxiety, insomnia, and pain. Indica is great for unwinding after a long day or for soothing the mind and body. Hybrids: A mix of Sativa and Indica genetics, hybrids can provide a balanced experience, offering the best of both worlds depending on the strain's dominant traits. My Personal Experience As someone who struggles with PTSD, OCD, and social anxiety, I’ve found that Sativa strains can be overwhelming for me. While they’re supposed to boost energy and creativity, they often leave me feeling paranoid and overstimulated due to my introverted nature. On the other hand, Indica strains are my go-to. They calm my entire body and mind, helping me focus on constructive thoughts without feeling weighed down by anxiety. Indica is like a warm blanket for my nerves. I’ve also had great experiences with hybrid strains, like the Ed Rosenthal strain. This hybrid gives me a perfect balance: I feel the Sativa’s head effects—energy and creativity—while my body remains completely chilled out, creating an incredibly enjoyable and productive high. Why You Should Experiment Thoughtfully Every strain is different. Not all Sativas or Indicas will affect you in the same way, which is why it’s crucial to test and learn what your body and mind respond to best. Some Sativas might surprise you with their subtlety, and some Indicas might be too sedating. Experimentation is key, but always start slow and stay mindful of how you feel. Cannabis is a personal journey, and finding the right strain can transform the experience from "just getting high" to genuinely enhancing your well-being. Stay curious, stay cautious, and enjoy the ride!

It depends on what kind of arrhythmia. There are so many different kinds and most of them aren't dangerous. I myself have non-sustained extrasystoles (pvcs-pacs -- I'm 36), but they're actually harmless since I have a normally structured heart. Not dangerous but extremely annoying, and they can take a toll on mental health. However, I do suggest to anyone who hasn't been checked to undergo an ECG to ensure that their heart is structurally normal because it can be potentially dangerous with an unhealthy heart. (That's actually how young football players die—they had congenital heart issues that they weren't aware of because they never tested for it).

I HIGHLY suggest you check-out ''Let's Get High'' in Chiang Mai.They are in Chiang Mai but they deliver everywhere in Thailand. Here's their link: https://weed.th/shop/90b4cfa8-e274-41b1-873d-43da4a30544e/chiang-mai/lets-get-high-cnx I'm not living there at the moment but everytime I'm there I buy from them (no -- I'm not affiliated in any way shape or form with them I just like their bud). They have promotion for both 3A-5A weed (2A have no promotion but at 150b/g it's understandable). 2A - 150b/g 3A - 240b/g (5g - 1000b) 4A - 400b/g (3g - 1000b) 5g - 450b/g (3g - 1200b) Much better than these crazy over-priced shops in BKK that are selling at 600-900b/g wtf..
